I quickly discover she’s pissed off the wrong people when she adopts a former bait dog my little boy falls in love with…and when they come after her, they’ll learn they’ve pissed off the wrong ex-Ranger.
Cecily
I’ve had a huge crush on Major Whitmore ever since I moved in next door a year ago, but we’ve never exchanged more than neighborly pleasantries.
When I adopt a dog from the local shelter, Major’s little boy makes an instant best friend, and suddenly, Major sees me.
But it seems I’ve adopted the wrong dog, because his previous owners want him back and will stop at nothing to take him from me–even if it means getting me out of the way.

This is well written, insta-love, bad-boys next door, happily-ever-after, STEAMY romance. This story is well-developed with characters that have substance and very hot chemistry. There are no cliffhangers, no cheating and has HEA. This is a standalone book 5 part of the Blue-Collar Bad Boys Next Door series. Must Read.
Bongo the rescue dog helps her meet her neighbors they all have an instant connection and they soon find themselves spending time together. But when Bongo is stolen it will be up to him to use his connections to bring Bongo home safely.

I loved this story! All the characters are lovable – Major, Cecily, Felix and Bongo. Major is an army reserve who is a single dad raising Felix, his son. Cecily is the neighbor across the street, a photographer, who has just adopted a rescue dog named Bongo. Bongo runs over to Felix and an introduction is needed. Felix and Bongo are both wiggling their little butts in love. Major and Cecily also hit it off. What transpires is a sweet romance, smoking hot characters, tender loving moments, heartwarming, a little suspense and danger and an all around sweet, sweet story. I do think you will enjoy it.

Cute
The story is well written, with cute characters. The story involves a twist, but the whole is a bit predictable for my taste.
Major is a divorced ranger and single father. He is attracted to his neighbor Celily, who has just adopted a dog. They start dating when Cecily receives threats that she return the dog she adopted, placing Major as protector of the mistress and her dog.

This is another fast fun read in this great series each book takes less than an hour to read but you aren’t short changed on a either the story or the steam
Cecily has moved into a new neighbourhood and she can”t help but notice the hot neighbour across the road but she also knows that he has a family so she will have to drool from afar That is until she gets a rescue dog Bongo the dog falls in love with Major’s son Felix and she learns that he is in fact a single father. Soon they are doing things together and starting to be a family until Bongo’s past comes calling putting Cecily in danger and ex Ranger Major will have to step up to keep everyone safe including Bongo.
Cecily has lived next door to Major and his son Felix. They didn’t have relations until she got a rescue dog named Bongo. Felix is loving on bongo and they all get to know each other. Both Cecily and Major have been attracted to each other for a year, now as they get closer they fall into each others embrace. I loved how this author brings these two together with lots of heat. Great story line!

My soul sat up and said, there he is. There he is.
Major is the fifth book in the Blue-Collar Bad Boys Next Door series and it about Major and Cecily who are neighbors. Major Whitmore is thirty years old and a single father to Felix, his six year old son. A couple of years ago his ex split for Los Angeles and does not make it back to see Felix very often so he is going it alone. Major had been in an Army Ranger for years but when his ex left he left and joined the Army Reserves. He also joined his father in the family towing company, Whitmore’s Towing, which allows him to spend time with Felix. But there are also his parents who love to spoil their only grandson as much as they can.
Cecily Thompson works as a photographer after graduating school. She makes her living taking portraits, wedding photos and sometimes special projects. It was on one of these, a calendar for the local animal shelter, where she met and fell in love with an adorable yellow medium-sized dog who she adopted and named Bongo. Bongo had been abused before he came to the shelter, actually was used as a bait dog for a dog fighting ring, but he is sweet natured and loves kids.
For the last year Cecily and Major have lived next door to each other but it is not until Bongo makes a break for it one Saturday making a dash towards Felix and Major when they are in their front yard that Cecily and Major actually talk more than a few words to each other. It seems Bongo wants to make a new friend in Felix and Felix wants that same thing. They all end up walking to get ice cream cones, including a vanilla cone for Bongo. Over the course of the next week or so Cecily, Major, Felix and Bongo spend more time together taking walks and hanging out. It is Major’s father that tells his son to bring Felix over so his grandparents can spoil him and make sure he packs an overnight bag so he can take Cecily on a proper date with some adult only time to talk. Cecily is all for it as she is quite attracted to Major and also really likes Felix.
But Cecily has been receiving threatening text messages from an unknown number about Bongo, as they have gotten some press from their adoption story. Major gets her to tell him about what is bothering her and instead they stay in for the night and ordering dinner from a little cafe close by for delivery. Before they barely even finish dinner Major is having Cecily for his dessert and she is the sweetest thing he has ever tasted. Afterwards it is wine and shared dessert in bed and then more bedroom gymnastics for the night. The next morning they walk with Bongo to a local diner to do takeout and go to a park but with a quick turn of events Bongo is dog-snatched. Major calls one of his fraternity brothers on the local force to help out and it seems the PD have been watching a location because of a suspected dog fighting ring. Major is not about to wait and a few days later he enlists a friend to go and see what they can find out, as the location is a scrap yard.
Will Major find Bongo in time? Will Bongo and Cecily be reunited? Will Cecily, Major, Felix and Bongo get their HEA? You will have to read the book to find out.
This is a sweet and interesting book with a story-line that has romance, drama, emotion, love, suspense and of course hot and sizzling sexy. The characters are wonderful and just who you would love to have a your own neighbors. A definite recommend book to read!
An enjoyable fast pace book five in the Blue Collar Bad Boys Next Door series. It is well written, well developed, engaging, and steamy with a cute kid, a loveable dog, suspense, and some danger. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Major and Cecily have been neighbors for a year, but have never connected until recently. Their entire relationship changes because of Bongo. Bongo is a rescue from a dog fighting ring, and a sweeter mutt you’ll never find. Felix, Major’s son, and Bongo form an immediate bond, giving Major and Cecily an excuse to spend some no-pressure time together. Major has been divorced for several years, and hasn’t seen or heard from his ex in six months, which is understandably hard on his son. Major has made it his mission to put Felix first, to make sure his son is loved and happy and carefree. This includes retiring from the military, and going to work with his own father. Cecily has noticed Major and Felix from the moment she moved in. But not knowing the family situation, and seeing Major’s ex around a couple times, she holds back from pretty much any contact. But once they due “meet” and really talk, these two caring people quickly fall in love. Add in a little drama with Bongo’s past owners, and you have a hit! I love how Major and Cecily just really try to do the right thing: Major for his son, Cecily in regards to her feelings for Major. This story is sweet and sexy, fun, and utterly delightful! I just love this series!

3.5 stars. There are a few things I look for in a good novella and MAJOR fits the bill in several areas. It is an interesting story told without a lot of words, but also without making the reader feel something has been left out.
I did find the characters coming to the conclusion they loved one another to have come about without much foundation bringing down my emotional investment in the novella. The child was really not a good element in the story. His needs were really not considered much by the adults. But it is fiction, and we can make allowances if every loose end doesn’t get tied up neatly.

Major doesn’t know what hit him but the way his neighbor and her loving dog have filled a hole in his son and his lives is amazing. When trouble comes and he helps Cecily out it proves to them both their love for each other and the family they’ve created.
