Maisie thinks of herself as a tough, resourceful woman, and that’s about to be put to the test. After leaving her abusive husband and making off with all the cash she can carry, her only goal is to stay out of sight and survive. Then she learns her husband is six feet under. She should be able to relax, only she fears she will be blamed for his murder. So she hops a train and finds herself as a … a Bridal Train Bride.
Henry Cartwright loves tending the land, growing crops and raising animals for market, though it’s a lonely life. When his family urges him to take a wife, he can’t think of anything he has to offer a woman besides hard work, but he settles on a Bridal Train Bride. Maisie is soft-spoken and reserved, leaving Henry thinking of her as a frightened animal, and he longs to set her at ease.
With newfound freedom and peace in her heart at long last, Maisie wonders if she was wrong about all men being the same. Maybe this one deserves a chance—and a bit of the kindness he doles out to her so easily. When problems arise on the farm, they’re forced to work together and fight for the life they share. It just might be time for Maisie to dig up that satchel full of money she buried out back.

I love Henry. He was so kind and understanding and just what Maisie needed. But could she trust again?
Such an endearing story that I enjoyed so much. This author is new to me but now I cannot wait to read more by her!

Sweet Bridal Train Romance!
A delightful addition to the series. Maisie fled on the Bridal Train to escape being accused of her husband’s murder, marries to change her name and found love, redemption and a great HEA! Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Henry and Maise were endearing characters. She had came to town on the train as a mail order bride. He married her and took her to his ranch and what followed was an heartwarming romance that keeps you turning the pages. I would recommend this sweet story.

Maisie was fleeing from an abusive husband that the authorities thought she might have killed with his ill gotten money. Henry was lonely struggling on a farm that he purchased with a bank loan they were threatening to call in full payment on and he wanted a wife to help him and for companionship. This was a sweet mail order bride historical romance.
Maisie had to run while she could. Leaving an abusive husband and having no family she got on the train and hoped for the best. Upon seeing an advertisement for a bridal agency she decided it was her only option. The Bridal train brought her to Henry, a man who works with his hands off the land and is kind. Can she let her past go and find love with Henry? When Henry discovers her secrets will he still want his sweet kind bride?

A surprising story.
This is a second marriage for Maisie a widow with some challenges facing her from her past she becomes a mail-order bride. I really like Henry a hard-working man who will have many surprises awaiting him. This was a very entertaining book and a wonderful addition to the series. Emberly Hart is an amazing storyteller I highly recommend her book. ! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I’m really enjoying this series of mail order brides. A time when women needed a man to survive. Maisie is on the run, afraid of being blamed for a crime. She struck it lucky meeting Henry, living in the middle of nowhere Kansas surrounded by farm animals. When her secret is revealed will saving the farm mean losing Henry? Great story, I loved it.
Maisie’s first marriage was a nightmare. Her husband was an abusive drunk who owed money to a lot of people. After being hit one time too many, Maisie took it upon herself to leave but she cleaned out the hiding place her husband had hid his ill gotten earnings with her. She found out later that her husband was dead so she headed out on the bridal train where she met Henry. Their relationship was one she chose. Henry knew that she had gone through a hardship so he took his time with her. Will his patience end with a happily ever after for him and Maisie?

“Maisie” (The Bridal Train Book 4) by Emberly Hart is a fantastic read. I loved Maisie and Henry’s story. This is a wonderful addition to this series, packed with romance, family, new beginnings, and more. I’m loving this series, and hope there are more stories to come. Highly recommend to all fans of historical romance, and series.
I’m really enjoying the bridal train series. It’s so different from the usual books I read. It takes you back to a simpler time.
This book was no different. Reading about the pain and struggles that Maisie had to go through and what she needed to do in order to survive seems so barbaric now a days. The decision to get on the bridal train and marry a stranger in order to stay safe was interesting to read.
Henry was an amazing man. Not only was he kind and hard working, he understood Maisie from the very beginning. He could see she was scared and was patient enough to wait until she was ready and felt she could trust him.
Watching these two grow and compliment each other was fun to read.
