He has twins and with their mother death he needs to find a new wife. How will they get on? Will. They become a blended family? See if they will
Straight forward mail order story. The conflict is mostly internal so there’s not a lot of action. We do see the characters come to change their feelings and start grow together as a family.
This is a sweet novella with a side of marrying a stranger and unexpected baby. Cade is a widower with three year old twin sons. He places an ad for a mail order bride knowing he can’t run his ranch and take care of his sons. Miranda answers the ad but the day before she is set to leave her sister and brother-in-law are killed and she has to take her infant niece with her hoping her new husband is not upset. It was beautiful watching Cade and Miranda’s journey to their HEA. While short, the writing was good, the characters were well developed, and the storyline was engaging. This was a new to me author and I am adding her to my TBR. 3.5 stars
This was another good book by Jenna Brandt. I’ve read many of her novellas and have yet to be disappointed. It was a short, sweet story about an unmarried woman who doesn’t want to be a burden to her family and an overwhelmed father of twins who needs a wife.
I enjoyed the story, but it didn’t have much conflict. It’s perfect for readers who don’t want too much angst messing up a good love story.
This is a really straight forward mail order bride novel. There is no real drama, only sleepless nights due to baby Eleanor crying and worrying about whether her new husband loves her. The twins are typical hyper-active boys whom need a strong loving hand to guide them. Cade is a man at wit’s end and still grieving for his wife, but has to remarry because his boys aren’t going to wait for him to get over his wife. Both are children of God, and realize that God brought them together to help each overcome the pain of loss. I believe that this story could have been more, but it is good as written.
Miranda no longer wanted to be a burden to her sister and brother in law. They could barely make ends meet as it was. Now with a little one it’s even harder. She decides to sign up to be a mail order bride. But things take a turn for the worst. She must take her niece with her when she goes. Hopefully Cade, her husband to be is ok with another child to take care of besides his twin boys. Will they be able to overcome the tragedies in their lives and make their own family? Great story!
Received this arc for voluntary honest review.
Miranda has some big adjustments to overcome with her mail order bride situation. She not only is moving to her husband she has exchanged letters with. She is going to marry a widow of twin boys. They are very young at that. She is also now the only living relation for her baby niece. So three children under four plus a man who isn’t really over his late wife’s passing. This was a good read.
The author has penned a sweet heartwarming story with great character development and lots of human emotion. This is Miranda Barton and Cade Tanner’s story. Miranda, an orphan, is living with her sister, brother-in-law and baby niece when they are killed in an accident leaving Miranda to care for and raise her niece. Miranda had already promised to become Cade’s MOB. Cade was a widower with young twin boys. Will Cade and his twins accept Miranda and her baby niece and will Cade and Miranda ever reach a HEA in their marriage. Be sure to read this riveting story to find out. I enjoyed this story and highly recommend it.
The journey of this book is sweet, romantic, and humorous at times.
The characters are appealing and real.
The plot is charming and believable.
This series and this author have a winner.
Jenna Brandt writes stories that I truly enjoy. Will they change the world, probably not, except to maybe make it a little calmer and laid back. We all need to be able to unwind, relax and just enjoy a story. Miranda and Cade may have started out on lies, even though well intentioned, but their journey was fun to read.
Secret Baby Romance
What a lovely, sweet, mail-order bride romance! I cannot imagine dealing with an infant and twin toddlers full time.
This was a story of a young woman living with her sister, brother in law and niece. She decided to become a mail order bride. Something happens so she had to take her niece with her. Now she will have her niece and his two children. The outcome of the story was excellent.
In the Widows, Brides, and Secret Babies series, all the plots involve a mail order bride who arrives either pregnant or with a child the groom doesn’t know about. In Mail Order Miranda, Miranda’s sister and brother-in-law both die just days before Miranda’s scheduled leave date. Miranda is the only relative of their daughter. She takes the baby with her to meet her future husband and his twin boys. Talk about instant family. Miranda and Cade go through many of the same ups and downs as new couples with the added stress of 3 children under 2. Jenna Brandt did a great job with her characters – creating an enjoyable story. Mail Order Miranda is part of a series but it can be read as a stand alone. If you enjoy the mail order bride genre and are looking for an easy read for a lazy afternoon, you’ll want to check this title out.
While Mail Order Miranda is an adult novel, it could find a place in a K-12 Christian school library. I think high schoolers interested in historical fiction will enjoy it.
I received a complimentary e-copy of Mail Order Miranda. This is my honest review.
I really enjoyed reading this book! Miranda is going to be a mail-order bride and her sister and brother-in-law were killed the night before she is to leave, leaving her niece for Miranda to take care of! Her husband to be has twin boys two years old! I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance books!
Mail Order Miranda is a well told, mail order bride romance. Miranda and Cade are both charismatic people with small children. They need each other. It was entertaining reading about how they grew to appreciate one another and blend their respective families. I enjoyed this sweet, gentle romance.
This book was simply amazing! I love how Miranda has a mind of her own and is set in to show up to meet Cade no matter what she may bring with her. Cade boys are funny and full of love.
Awesome story and fun to read.

What a sweet book to read. It was interesting and kept my attention. It is definitely worth your time reading it.
I did receive an advanced copy of the book and the review is mine voluntarily.
A wonderful addition to this sweet series and this time there are three babies! Miranda needed to get away and start her own home so she answered a mail order bride ad. Little did she know a tragedy would happen. Her sister and her husband were in a terrible accident and Miranda was left with her newborn niece in her care.
Having to leave to travel to her future husband, she prays he will accept the baby because she knows he has twin boys under three!
Cade Tanner has been left grieving after the death of his wife and their two boys, but he knows he cannot take care of them and work. He is determined to never fall in love again.
But it seems the two might be able to work their way to love, if only they can open their hearts!
Another amazing story by talented writer Jeanna Brandt who always brings a smile to my heart and hours of reading pleasure!!
Sweet story. Enjoyed Miranda and Cade’s story. Cade and his twin boys suffered the lost of his wife and their Mother. Miranda lost her Sister and Brother-in-law in a tragic shooting. Leaving her with her baby niece to raise. I read this in one sitting, staying up in the middle of the night to finish. If you like clean mail-order bride stories, you will love ‘Mail-Order Miranda’. I highly recommend. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
