I enjoyed reading this book! After both her parents died leaving her and her baby brother(not quite two) alone with an old and mean neighbor man wanting to marry her she found an ad in a paper for a mail-order bride and sent it off. I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance books!
Absolutely wonderful! I love these books.
This is a wonderfully entertaining story with humor and sadness, but it leads to happiness for three lonely people. Clara and her little brother , Jack, are left orphaned when their parents die of consumption two months apart. An obnoxious, lecherous neighbor tells Clara she is going to marry him within a week of her father’s funeral. To escape him, she takes Jack and travels to Tombstone, Arizona where she marries James Clanton, brother to the notorious Clanton gang. James is different than his brothers, decent, kind, and he wants to build a decent life for himself. Clara is a feisty red head who takes no guff from his brothers. Great story.
So good! I felt so bad for Clara and James. Clara lost both her parents and home, and now has to take care of her toddler brother. James is trying to live a peaceful life on his ranch, but there’s bad blood between his brothers. Desperation brings these two together and they find friendship, hope and love. If you like clean stories, I highly recommend ‘Mail Order Clara’. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
The author has penned a heart warming story that is full of action and humor. This is Clara and James story, as well as Jack, Clara’s two year old brother. The couple have a number of issues to overcome and work through if they are to reach a HEA. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it.
This was a good read! Clara and James start off a little rocky, since he’s not expecting her to bring a baby with her. They get things worked out, and their marriage turns out to be a good thing. James finds he likes the toddler, and he and Clara find that they work well together, too. A fast read!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
I liked Clara who was one tough lady as she took her brother to Tombstone to be a mail order bride. Her welcome committed of her husband’s brothers wasn’t so welcome as they are troublemakers and thieves. I love how she pulled a pistol on them. Her marriage to James and the road to falling in love is very sweet. The mention of the Earp’s was a fun bonus. Voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy.
This story was so much fun! Clara’s circumstances would make any woman want to run for the hills! Her parents just died and her unsuspecting father told her neighbor her could marry her??? He’s just gross, that’s all there is to it! She has a 2 yr. old brother to think of and that neighbor makes her skin crawl so she’s getting out of town one way or another! Thankfully, she sees an ad about a mail order bride in Arizona so she’s on a train so fast it’ll make your head spin! However, when she arrives, Tombstone, AZ doesn’t look all that much better at first! James, her intended, is a great guy, but his brothers? That’s a whole different story! Clara and James are a great couple and I loved their story! Clara was so feisty and perfect for a western wife. You’ll love this story like I did!
