more
I really enjoyed all 5 of these stories about mail order brides coming to Texas following the Civil War. There is also a bonus story – set in Montana – which was very good as well. This was my first exposure to Kathleen Bell. All of these romances are fairly clean with a HEA. My only concern is that several of these stories involve characters that have been beaten or whipped by someone – husband, father, etc. Despite that these stories are probably historically accurate, It was a little disturbing.
Loved this three stories
A very interesting series of stories
Fun read! Takes us to the Wild West! Sounds mostly believeable!
I start reading and I cannot put the books down. The author is a great story teller.
I loved to character and how they develop with each book
Easy reading, with romance, no bad language.
Great collection of stories!
I am a sucker for mail order bride books and that is what brought me to purchase this collection of books. I really enjoyed the characters and how they were intertwined in these six stories.
There are two reasons I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. The editing is terrible. There are way too many mistakes. Secondly, it bothered me that there was something “wrong” with each bride that made her not marriage material in each book.
I really enjoyed reading this book.
Really enjoyed reading this book
I love the way the author gave each character a problem to be resolved and it was overcome.
I enjoy different eras and find it fascinating how people lived. Enjoyed these book!
