A maid at the exclusive Romance Island Resort, Audra knows how to handle rock stars, billionaires and celebrities. She keeps their secrets, cleans up their mess and makes sure their holiday is a memorable one. There’s just one rule: no relationships with guests. And Audra never breaks the rules. Jay Felix is rock royalty and he knows it. When one of his bandmates threatens to break up the band, … the band, he goes into hiding at the Romance Island Resort. Looking for a distraction, he sets his sights on the unattainable Audra. But what’s a rock star to do when the girl he wants is the one woman he can’t have?
Welcome to paradise, where the romance is as hot as the weather and the tides aren’t all that’s surging beneath the surface.

Overall I enjoyed Maid for the Rock Star. I loved Audra’s character, but even when I finished the book, I still think she’s too good for Jay. I kept hoping that he would change and better himself for her. I’m hoping his character improved later in the series.
I’ve had this book for awhile and thought it was about time I read it, needing a break from my usual genre of reads. I was surprised although, it was nothing I expected. Of course, the Rock Star is atypical of the stereotype; Insanely talented, conceited, foul mouthed, and a man whore in every way. The maid is, under normal circumstances, quite well educated, working hard for an internship while trying to stick to the rules of her employment. This was a pleasant enough read but not one I’m sure I will continue to follow. I just had a hard time finding a connection to latch on to.
This is a light fun read for the weekend, actually it was fluff and you’ll love to hate the characters. This was set on an Island Resort.
Jay the rock star is a man whore and an arrogant douche. Audra is the hotel maid who is determined not to fall into his clutches.
The story line was fine and at times corny, but it was a light read and had me chuckling and rolling my eyes at the immaturity of Jay.
An erotic story. Almost a “Coming of Age” story. A few close brushes with unsavory subjects. Overall, enjoyable.
Audra is a Powerful force to reckon with.
This one is hard to rate. I really like Audra. She was well written, complex, had a great back story. I’m in her corner all the way. But Jay is a jerk who doesn’t deserve one second of her time. I normally love Demelza Carlton’s characters, but her leading man is a dud this time. I was rooting for Audra to end up with Serge the whole time. So she gets 5 stars for her leading lady, 4 stars for plot, O for the male lead, and a final score of 3 for disappointing my shipping goals. Actually, if she wrote a book where Audra is happily falling for a guy in Antarctica who will treat her like the queen she is, I would be all over that!
One of the worst books I have ever attempted to read. The “Rock Star” is one of the most horribly shallow characters ever written. I DIDN’T finish, skipped to CLIFFHANGER END, and promptly DELETED from my library!!
I finished this in January and here now in April and am just now writing my critique. I think it has a lot to do with how I felt about this book. The writing was very well done and the characters, for the most part, were developed very well. The part of the rock star is actually more complicated than what is at first glace perceived. It is understanding what he means by “I am the rockstar.”
I did enjoy the story and most of all I enjoyed Audra’s growth through the story. I know there is much more to the story that will be revealed in the other books but at this time I have other books that I am drawn to at this time
