This is a good clean second chance romance and is a great addition to the Starling Bay series. This is Reed and Jenna’s story these two went to high school together but parted ways on bad terms now she is back in town and needs a job she s that desperate she ends up working as Reed’s maid. These two don’t start off well but the more they spend time together the closer they become. I enjoyed this story it is a great read
This was not my favorite in this series because I didn’t particularly care for Reed. I won’t tell why, I’ll let you read and decide for yourself. Some may agree with me and some will probably disagree with me. That’s the great thing about reading books, we can each make up our own minds about the characters. I did like Jenna. I couldn’t stand Olivia. Grab your copy and see what happens. Now, it’s time to read Rourke’s story.
Loved this book, reminded me a Halequin Romance book, which I love. The trials and tribulations of Reed and Jenna’s story. The HEA ending was unique, I do recommend this book, it is a great read and I can’t wait to see if Shay gets her HEA!

Second Chance Cinderella type Story
A fast read about two people who knew each other in high school, but parted on bad terms when her father got a job out of town. He was popular, she was poor and publically humiliated at his party; she believed he was to blame. Years later Jenna is back again and desperate for a job, desperate enough to work for Reed. She dislikes him immensely at first, however as she comes to know him, she realizes not everything is as she has always assumed and believed.
The story is enjoyable and engaging. I would recommend it.

I loved this book. This is the second book in the series but can be a stand alone book. Jenna is broke and has been most of her life. She left the town she grew up in only to return years later and is trying to make ends meet. Reed is rich and was born that way. He’s a businessman, engaged but second thoughts are making him re-consider that, and he lives in his families large mansion and his butler has placed an ad for a maid. Jenna needs the money but is she willing to take a job working at a mansion she hates for a family she doesn’t like and for a man she despises. A great story with wonderful characters and a great story line.

This is a story that tackles how social strata can affect public perception and one’s ability to make ends meet.
Reed has always had it all and Jenna has always had to scrape by. In this Cinderella Story, Cinderella has to serve at the ball. However, sometimes besties are better than fairy godmothers, and one ‘s own perceptions and judgments are the only thing standing in the way of “true love”.

This is book 2 of the Starling Bay Series. This book can be read as a stand alone. It is a kind of second chances/Rich man-Poor Girl combo story.
Reed and Jenna knew each other from high school and did not part on the best of terms. Many years later, Jenna is desperate. She has moved back to Starling Bay and is in need of a job. She is so desperate, she is even willing to work for Reed as his maid. Things are not easy for these two. Jenna is such a hard worker, working 3 jobs just to make ends meet, while Reed has always had money and works from home running his families company.
Sparks fly and emotions are a bit chaotic. Nice story line, descriptions to details were done nicely, engaging dialogue, and nice characters. I liked the characters, but I did not grow an attachment to them.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HFN ending
All in all, a nice book.

Amazing!
I loved this book. I didn’t wanted to stop reading this book until I reached the end. No one should miss an opportunity to read this book. This book displayed characters’ determinance, patience, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, betrayal, revenge, forgiveness and of course love. This book was truly amazing! I can’t wait to read more books from this author.

The haves and the have nots.
Jenna is back in Starling Bay after being away for twelve years. She’s broke and needs a job. She takes one working for the person who made her a laughing stock in high school.
Reed Knight lives in a mansion with his fiancée Olivia and a small staff.
Reed doesn’t remember Jenna and is pretty much a jerk to her. And he’s engaged and living with Olivia for half the book.

Reed and Jenna knew each other in high school. Reed came from a wealthy family and Jenna was one of those kids picked on and made fun of because she was poor. Shortly after a humiliating event at a party Reed was having, Jenna and her family moved for her father’s job. Now 10 years later Jenna is back in Starling Bay, looking for work and the only job open is as a maid at Reed’s estate. Jenna harbors old hurts and Reed had no idea he had hurt Jenna. Thrust back together, can Jenna let go of her hurt? Reed is engaged to be married but the couple do not seem to happy together? Will Jenna and Reed get a 2nd chance at getting to know each other and at a possibility for love?
