I have read everything this author has written, and this is the funniest book yet. Magnolia has the craziest stuff happen to her and I couldn’t stop laughing. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author.
O-M-G! I love the Spell Library series. I truly do. This shot up to one of my favorites in the series. Strangely the reasoning behind it is not because of anything paranormal or such but because some of the stuff that is it is so something I can see some of the people I know would do. You will be saying “Bless her heart” to that poor main character and I completely love it. Don’t look for spoilers in this one. I know that the author even put out a few blurbs. Normally I love blurbs but resist the temptation to look so you can get the full effect. I have to make sure that I don’t have any ribs broken. Do not read while eating, and if this makes it to audiobook do not drive or do anything with your eyes or with scissors.
What a fantastic book. Part of the Silver Springs collection. Magnolia was well written. I highly recommend this book. Five stars from me.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I also enjoyed how much this book showed just how diverse the Spell Library Series is because this book had almost no magic like most of the other books did. It was also nice that there wasn’t really insta-love involved. Not to say the rest of the books are bad or boring, it was just a nice change of pace from the rest of the books. I would definitely recommend as a quick contemporary romance read.
Magnolia offers to return a library book which sets off a chain of events that connects her to her 3 men. Each guy is crushing on her before the book pulls them in so its not instant love since they are all human. I do want to know more about her being able to see the glitter but that not important to the cute romance. Funny how her cakes turned out and allowed her to find her backbone.
Super funny! Unlike any other book in the series, no paranormal aspect. It is an amazing quick funny relatable read! Highly recommended! I just can’t get enough of this series! This book sucked me in from the jump! I’m hoping we get some more of Jen’s, her roommate, story too! I can’t wait to read more by this author!
This is a nice slight change to the other books in the series, this story had me lol at times. Magnolia finds herself in situation after situation, brilliant characters and. Very well written.
I received this book as a ARC and wanted to give an honest review.
What is there not to love about the book! The FMC Magnolia is a hoot and gets herself is such crazy predicaments. The boys are all fantastic and I love it when they realize who their crush is. And Dr P’s Mom…. omg I died!
loved this story from the Spell Library. This author never disappoints. This story was entertaining and the characters were awesome. I look forward to the next book.

This is book 11 of the Silver Springs collection following the small relatively quiet town.
I was intrigued yet hesitant to read this book since Magnolia is finishing up her nursing degree and wasn’t sure how closely it would follow to real life stuff with the medical terminology and such since I’m a nursing student and have a pretty good handle on that stuff. I was both relieved and disappointed that the story didn’t really show the nursing side of Magnolia since her moving to Silver Springs was a way to continue her education and for it to play such a huge part of her life, I’d figure that we’d get to see her in action of the floor.
This story would fall somewhere in the middle out of the stories I’ve read from this collection. Magnolia had more relational depth other than just constant sex and hook ups so props for that.
I felt so bad for Magnolia in the beginning because she meet all of the guys in less than pleasant circumstances. She almost got hit with a car, had to call 9-1-1 to get transported to the hospital because something got stuck where the sun doesn’t shine, and had to get said item removed by cute doctor on the floor.
It also seems that Magnolia and the guys are human which threw me for most of the book (if they aren’t then it was never discussed what they are). I knew that there were some humans in the town, but I just assumed that all of the stories would follow a supernatural couple. It was refreshing to see normal people in such a complex relationship and having to work through the feelings instead of saying “oh, you’re my mate”, but it was also convenient that all of the guys that Magnolia was seeing were friends since kindergarten and basically brothers.
There were some sweet moments (get your head out of the gutters) and some that made me release a deep sigh.
Out of all of the guys, Porter, who happens to be the doctor at the hospital where Magnolia is studying, is the one who is the most developed in the story. But, I also believe that it’s partly because Porter’s mom is the head nurse on the floor and is constantly trying to keep Magnolia away from her son.
This is definitely a light, quick romance book to read perfect for the summer!
Omg poor Magnolia (FMC). I wont give away the plot to this book but it contains some seriously cringe worthy but really funny situations that she gets herself into. I just couldnt help but like her even with all her mishaps which endears her to you and it made me want her to get her HEA so much. A great read with a sweet leading lady and three hotties. So my kind of book and i enjoyed reading it
Magnolia is finishing her nursing degree but what happens when you spend just as much time in the er as a patient as you do as a nurse? You end up being rescued by an EMT who reminds you of Thor.
Magnolia is an awesome page turning read, so jump right in and prepare to fall in love.
I loved this book. Getting to know magnolia and her new men was great. Loved the twist thrown in on who her men are and what she finds out about them. Her bestie Jennie was awesome to! Kept my hooked trying to find out what happens and how things would play out. A must read
Well, this was so much fun! The characters are great and so is the storyline and it’s really witty and funny. Such a treat to read. I highly recommend.
This book is set in the shared universe of Silver Springs and this book will cause fits of laughter. I never knew Melissa could do comedy too. She can literally do everything if she sets her mind to it. This book is not paranormal but contemporary with Magnolia Kinsella as lead FMC and her guys Max, aka Thor, (who also appeared in Onyx) and Parker and Blake. There are cameo appearances with other caracters we’ve come to love. I don’t wanna spoil the book but it is hilarious and is a must read in this series.
Normally I’m not the one to ask for contemporary stories. I like a supernatural twist, some little paranormal activity, a bit of magic. However, I noticed that in the Spell Library series the contemporary stories seemed to be missing. And even though there might be a very small and tiny paranormal element to this story, this was the kind of contemporary I meant and was looking for when I wanted a contemporary Silver Springs Spell Library story.
In every way this story is a lovely romantic comedy. Of course, the plot is kind of predictable and there’s a lot of dramatic irony where I saw something coming and the characters were oblivious. However, it’s amazingly well done and well written. It’s the kind of book you want to read again and again and mostly on those bad and horrible days when you need a reminder that good things can happen to people like you and that love and happily ever afters do exist.
And Magnolia is the perfect character to star in this romantic comedy. More than once she made me laugh out loud, but I also really understood her struggles and doubts and questions. I say it often, but I really mean it when I say it, it’s so easy to root for these main characters. Just like the others Magnolia is so human and so perfectly flawed. She makes mistakes, she does stupid things and sometimes they end well and sometimes they end badly. But, if all this can happen to her, including all the good things, then maybe it can also happen to me.
I at least wouldn’t say no to a few guys in my life like the ones Magnolia is slowly finding. I love how these guys were all kind and understanding. They were taking Magnolia exactly as she was. And for once not one of the guys in the harem was a bad boy. I know that people like bad boys, but I have this huge soft spot for the sweeter guys, for the good guys. And it doesn’t happen that often that I get an entire harem of them!
I’m sure that this will become one of my go to books. Just like Notting Hill is my go to movie.
I loved this rom com more than I thought I would! Although it’s set in a paranormal world, I’m always intrigued when there’s a contemporary story in the series. I was so excited that we got to see Max, also known as Thor, from Onyx again and that he got his own story.
I thought it was great to have characters in the medical field and a look into their everyday lives. I loved Magnolia’s klutzy and southern personality. She found herself in some awkward situations and I couldn’t help but laugh at them. Jen, her best friend, was my favorite female character and obviously Max was my favorite male character. Parker and Blake were great too and I did enjoy the other side characters.
I loved getting to see Juniper, Violet, and Calluna again! Those scenes brought some extra laughs and mystery for Magnolia. I liked that we got to see another look at Jasmine and I can’t wait to read her story next even though I’m sad this series is almost over.

Be prepared to laugh out loud when reading this book. Please be careful when eating and drinking while reading. Oh my goodness I had so many belly laughs that hurt my stomach. So we meet Magnolia who happens to be smart but klutzy. She is getting her nursing degree in Silver Springs. However, I feel like there is more to her but not quite sure. The reason being is because she can see things but no one else does. Hmm, anyways she has recently come out of a relationship and is trying to get back out there. She meets Blake from Tinder, Max who is a paramedic, and Dr. Porter. Their initial meeting of each person is freaking hilarious. I don’t know how she manages to own her embarrassment but she does it. She also gets a backbone to and her cupcakes for her party is EPIC!! You have to read this book, trust me you will love it.
Another fantastic addition to the series!!! I wasn’t expecting this to be a contemporary romance since the other books in the series are PNR. But that didn’t stop this book from being just as fantastic. Poor accident prone Magnolia!!! Can’t help but get herself into some embarrassing situations which made for a hilarious read. I laughed throughout the whole book I do hope we get a future book where we meet Magnolia folks. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read can’t wait for more books in this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
What a delightful story about the sweet southern girl and her clumsiness. I was like poor Mags at first but then when Thor, um Max shows up to the rescue I’m all poor me haha! I love this shared universe and always find it refreshing after a few paranormal romances to read a contemporary one. Even if there is glitter poop!! ( I like how it’s not a concern, yay silver springs magic!). Max, Blake and Porter are absolutely yummy! Also, rooting for Jen and her happy ending!
