Magic, Mischief & Kilts!A modern-day Scottish warlock paranormal romance by NYT Bestselling Author Michelle M. Pillow. Kenneth doesn’t have room for anything in his life beyond his responsibilities as an immortal warlock and a father. Being a single dad is difficult, especially when that toddler is more powerful than his entire magickal family combined. Standing against forces who want … combined. Standing against forces who want nothing more than to harness his daughter’s power takes focus, dedication, and the willingness to put his life on hold. So when the mysterious yet beautiful Andrea appears on his doorstep, he can’t help but distrust her.
For two years, Andrea Breaux has been running from a dangerous supernatural force. She’s learned to stay on the move, to never allow grass to grow under her feet, and to be suspicious of everyone and everything. When she finds herself in a house surrounded by magicks and a powerful child who would rather she not leave, Andrea isn’t sure what to do or if she even wants to go. But staying puts everyone at risk, especially the Scottish hottie in a kilt, Kenneth MacGregor.
Warning: Contains yummy, hot, mischievous MacGregors who are almost certainly up to no good on their quest to find true love. And Uncle Raibeart.

Next we find her in Green Vallis, Wisconsin where she checks into a motel not sure why she is there but it must have something to do with the curse. Some strange things start to happen to her not to mention the naked man running from pixies in the parking lot. When she meets Kenneth MacGregor has a young daughter and his mother encourages Andera to become the nanny. Kenneth is not sure but his mother is making all the decisions at the time because he son wants to leave and take his daughter but is bound to the house. Kenneth and Andrea realize that they are more than just attracted to each other. The house is a circus and it is full of misadventure from all the MacGregors. Love this series, enjoyed the books in it and waiting for next one. I was given an ARC as a gift from the author without obligation. I am providing an honest review.
Another fun book in the MacGregor family. This time Kenneth finds his true love. Jewel is at it again in this book. Between her and Uncle Raibeart you get a lot of mischief and fun and laughter in this book. Andrea has been running from something. It brings her to the MacGregor mansion. Everything moves quickly once that happens. Another happily ever after. I can’t wait for Rory to get his HEA. I also think Uncle Raibert deserves one.

My favorite Michelle Pillow book. I never thought I ‘d be able to choose any one book. I love this one.
Kenneth loves his daughter. She an adorable little one with amazing magic ability and more. He has to devote his everything to keep her safe and under control–well to try to keep her under control. His entire magical–nutty–family adores her and she rules the house.
Andrea has been running from something supernatural for two years. What she doesn’t know until she ends up at the Magick Mansion (my name for their home) is why she is there. A nanny? Her a nanny of a magick kid? She doesn’t know how to take care of kids. She isn’t magick. But she can’t resist the little girl who seems attached to her.
It is a riot getting introduced to the wacky family. They are full of tricks but family love is alive and well. This group together function in their own special way. They are loyal and will do whatever it takes to protect their family.
The little one is special and there is a major secret that makes Kenneth’s fear for her real. Her little tricks and magick stunts are innocent fun. Still, they all vow to protect her from a threat.
Don’t worry if you are new to the series, the author does a wonderful job of introducing all the family members. This stands alone but warning: you are gonna want to read more about this family of paranormals.
Kenneth and Andrea didn’t plan to fall for each other. Working together protecting and loving the sweet child makes them aware of their own feelings for each other. A fun romp with steam and pranks and family love as well as couple love.
As usual, Michelle M. Pillow did an amazing job! I was pulled along as Andrea was pulled from place to place. Charmed by little Jewel. I empathized with poor Kenneth and his fear and worry over his little daughter.
I do most of my reading at night, in bed. It was a struggle to stay awake and read just one more page, for the two nights it took me to finish the book. My sleep deprived body drug itself up and awakened a six-year-old for school at 6:30 this morning. She was barely out the door before my head hit the pillow and the kindle was pulled out to finish the last hour of reading left of this book.
I had determined not to get caught up in the MacGregors, after having read (and reread multiple times) The Dragon Lords, and all the books branching off that set. But, here you go! Now I have to go buy the rest of them! I’m hooked.
I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.
The MacGregor Warlocks are a mischievous family to say the least. They thought Kenneth was dead for years but now he is back. He tries to leave one night and is now house bound. Andrea knows of magic but not to the extent of the MacGregors. Little does she know that running from the mysterious force in the bayous was leading her straight to them and a big of time hopping is only part of her crazy ride.
This story is full of hilarious pranks, adventure, and intrigue. Michelle always has you glued to the page and you do not want to stop reading. I only wish I could be a part of this wonderful world that she has created. It is a must read.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC edition of this book, and I am giving my honest opinion.
WOW! Michelle has created another fabulous book in the magically funny Warlocks MacGregor Series. We get to see the hilarious characters that we have grown to love, and all their magical prank wars that continue. We also get to learn more about the mysterious long-lost MacGregor brother that reappeared finally in the last book, along with his adorable—and slightly uncontrollable—daughter. (Though, to be fair Uncle Raibeart doesn’t help when it comes to keeping his niece grounded, he spoils his little Princess… and should never be allowed to give story time… ever!) Andrea is the perfect person to help Kenneth and his daughter.
This book had a special place in my personal ranking of all the books in this series, as I myself am a teacher and have been around kids of many different ages for years. I have always had such a soft spot for kids in books, and any book that include them as main character.
With that being said, I do tend to be pickier when it comes to the child character as I have found they can be difficult for some authors to write about for one reason or another. Again, I’ve worked with many different ages, and some authors tend to have problems making the children they write seem realistic. Which isn’t that a main point we want a favorite author to make their books feel? Realistic, even when the material isn’t? Michelle M. Pillow—while I wish to have seen a bit more done with the child character—did a good job with Kenneth’s daughter, and I can’t wait to see her grow and interact more with the whole clan.
This book had all the parts of a great Michelle M. Pillow book that we the readers have come to expect and love; action, fantasy (who doesn’t wish they could freeze a person solid when they are annoyed with them at some point, its not just me… right?) real emotions, great plot and story line, well-paced, romance, humor and a happily ever after (my favorite part)!
Pick up the newest addition to the Warlocks MacGregor Series and you won’t be disappointed. I can’t wait to see what Michelle M. Pillow has in store for us next!
It’s about time Kenneth had a HEA. He’s a single dad who continually loses his part Phoenix daughter due to her unstable magic. Now on the third version of his daughter, his mother has basically put him on house arrest and now the entire “village” of MacGregors are helping with the wee one, whether Kenneth wants the help or not!
Andrea Breaux has been using her folk magic to help send on trapped spirits. But one particular apparition has been trailing her for two years! Add in the stress of seeing a man trapped as though encased in stone through a magic portal and Andrea is one confused woman. But now she has landed in Green Vallis, with some magical interference, she has decided to help out with Kenneth’s daughter. But with Jewel’s magic expanding exponentially, can she really keep her promise to Kenneth to keep the wee one safe?
Great story, loved seeing “my” Raibeart. He is an absolute hoot and I dread the day one of his flavour of the weeks actually says yes to his question! My little Scottish heart goes pitter patter with Kenneth. He is just so…perfect – big, brawny, soft-centred, tender-hearted, passionate man. He loves his daughter above all else and my heart bleeds for him every time tragedy befalls her. Andrea is kickass. She is strong but fair with Jewel, giving her the discipline she needs against all this spoiling from the nuttiest family in town!
Superb!
The MacGregor brothers are still pranking each other. Kenneth and Andreas daughter – a phoenix shifter who keeps burning into a rebirth is driving her father crazy. Evil spirits, miscommunications, funny situations, Uncle Raibeart and surprises keep you glued to the book. The characters are terrific and varied, with different traits that combine to become a great family. Totally enjoyed this crazy group and can not wait for the next book.

This was a good book and the storyline flowed throughout the book and you will definitely fall in love with the characters. I absolutely loved this book.
Allow a full day for this adult contemporary paranormal romantic comedy which starts with 30-year-old Andrea Breaux in Maurepas Swamp in Louisiana and ends up some two years later in Green Vallis, Wisconsin at the MacGregor mansion.

Andrea has been running since her encounter with Mama Cecile, a evil spirit she tries to put to rest. She finds herself in a hotel for the night to try to find a temporary job so she can stay on the run when she’s brought into a portal. She finds herself in a mansion with a strange family and a man she’s seen before. Good book, I enjoyed it.
Action packed, emotional roller-coaster filled with witty and engaging charters, dangerous twists and heart racing turns. An edge of your seat thrill ride from beginning to end and so hard to put down.
Kenneth’s main focus is to raise and protect his daughter. But for the MacGregor family things are never that simple and easy. This was an amazing adventure with another sexy warlock.

This story is so much fun and entertaining. This is another good read in the “Warlocks MacGregor” series. This is a story about Kenneth and Andrea. Kenneth is a warlock and a single dad to his daughter Jewel. She is a very powerful phoenix toddler. Andrea has been on the run from a spirit and finds herself before Kenneth and his daughter. Their story develops very interestingly with some suspense, magick and mayhem, mystery and humor. This a great paranormal read with witches, also sorts of magic, steam and holiday fun!
O! my goodness. The family that plays together stay’s together. The younger ones don’t know and the older ones sometimes forget. The scary things that happened. All of the crazy things could have been avoided and the danger. Very, very good story. I loved the ending. I laughed so hard. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
More MacGregor’s
If you’ve been following the MacGregors you’ll know that they are a “different” kind of family. Imagine kilts and magic and hot hunks! This story has a powerful child that is wearing her father ragged and a woman on the run. When Jewel decides she wants to play, it’s pretty certain that no one will be able to stop her. Filled with fun and laughter, you have to wonder if the child has the answers the adults haven’t asked. Fun read, loved the child and even the parents were great, with a great romance. I did receive an ARC but also purchased the book.
a tangle of dangers, desires, and conflicting drives and designs
can she connect and help this single dad and his daughter?

I love being back in this series and this time it’s Kenneth MacGregor turn to get his world turned upside down. Single dad, Kenneth needs a nanny for his daughter and when Andrea finds herself in charge of taking care of his daughter the fun starts. I love the mystery surrounding Andrea and all crazy MacGregor family that adds to the storyline. And this addition to the series is becoming my favorite with the swoon worthy romance and a HEA worth fighting for! I can’t wait for more of this addicting series.
Fun, entertaining read dealing with interesting magical elements. Once again, the MacGregors find themselves dealing with magical issues. A quirky read. A cute romance between Andrea and Kenneth; likable characters. I’m not huge on the single dad with a magically powerful child scenario, but still a good read.
Andrea’s Arrival . . .
This book has everything you might want in a book by this author: romance, danger, surprise, suspense, and humor. Kenneth MacGregor is an immortal warlock and single dad whose daughter Jewel is extremely powerful. When Andrea Breaux, running from an evil force, shows up at the door, she is mistaken for the nanny. Is there a special reason Andrea has been brought to their door? Why does she feel so familiar? Why does Jewel want her to stay?
