The first day at a new academy is never easy, especially not for Lou. Home-schooled until she was eighteen, she’s now facing academy for the first time with no idea what to expect. With eccentric dorm mates, frenemies coming out of her ears, and the most popular guys in school showing interest in her, Lou starts to feel like she’s in over her head. Does she have what it takes to survive her time … what it takes to survive her time at the academy?

This book has every high school movie cliche and then some. College age kids, but this magical academy is described as an extended highschool as magical beings apparently have an extended adolescence. What saves this book from being Just Another Academy Story(TM) is the well thought out magic system and excellent well paced writing. Despite all the tropes, it actually is an enjoyable read. I finished it in one sitting.
This is book 1 in a trilogy and as such spends a lot of time building the world and characters. There is a suspenseful conflict brewing and hints as to deeper issues coming later in the story. This book ends with a big reveal to set up book 2. This book stays clean as Lou gets to know her guys, but the heat will ratchet up in this series.
She has always been home schooled so she will have a lot of adjusting to do when she goes to the academy. She will have roommates, new teachers, new people to get to know. Even boys wanting to date her. How is she going to get on? Will she enjoy it? Will she get use to it? See how she gets on

Our heroine is enrolled in the magical academy and has her first introduction to cliques. Will she be able to handle her academic studies and school politics at the same time?
This is a young adult reverse harem paranormal fantasy story. Wow, that makes for a mouthful. If you have read any of the author’s previous works, then this one is very similar in tone and style. The story is well written and easy to read. The world has a lot of depth to it and you almost feel overwhelmed in this first story as you try to take it all in. There is also a diverse cast of well developed characters that add another element to absorb. There is a plot, but it takes a backseat to all the worldbuilding and character introductions in this story. There is enough there to intrigue the reader at this point and expect to get into it in more depth with the next story. Overall, an enjoyable story and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes next.
Recommended.

This book would be perfect for young adults who loved the movie ‘mean girls’. The characters are quite young for their age, but a teenager reading the books wouldn’t mind the age difference between themselves and the characters in the book.
A lot of the scenes reminded me of the movie ‘mean girls’ and I look forward to seeing how the series progress away from the movie and into the unknown with the next installment of the series.
Lovely writing, fun and light read and an entertaining piece of story.
This is a cute read and I think teens and young adults would love it. Its about a 2 hour read. We have Lou who has been homeschooled her whole life. Now that she is eighteen her parents have sent her to the Academy to learn more. She has great roommates, but there are other girls there that are popular. Of Course we have the cute popular guys too. Can Lou fit in? Who will she choose to be friends with her roommates or the popular girls? What about those three cute guys can she be with one of them?

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.
Absolutely loved this story. Lou is the FMC (female main character) and she is a hybrid. Her roommates at the academy are Tyler and Estelle. Both of these ladies seem to be the kind I would hang out with. Now the Sparkles (chicks that think they are better than everyone else) Madison and Sadie seem to be truly nice but the head Sparkle makes them mean. Kristi, (Debitch head Sparkle) is pure evil and I’d love to punch her. The sexy men of the academy Jayse, Brroks, and Francis (Kristi’s EX). All 3 guys have the hots for Lou. Kristi makes a huge mistake crossing Lou, I have a feeling that Lou is gonna take Kristi to the cleaners. Definitely one of my favorites! I can’t wait for Magical Mistake (Magic And Metaphysics Academy Book 2) to be released!

Magical Mischief by Laura Greenwood and L. A. Boruff is the first book in the Magical and Metaphysics Academy series. In this book, Lou a half witch and half vampire hybrid starts her education at the Magical and Metaphysics Academy and spends most of her time trying to get accustomed to her surroundings and the other students. Luckily she has two nice roommates who are willing to help her and several of the males students she has interacted with are very kind. Lou tries to fit in but soon discovers that belonging to certain groups within the academy is as difficult as she expected. This is a sweet coming of age story that was fun to read. I was immediately entranced with the main character and couldn’t put this book down until the very end. If you love a good book, you will love this one as much as I do. Magical Mischief is an entrancing paranormal coming of age academy story.
I enjoyed reading Magical Mischief. I found the book well written with enjoyable characters. The story drew me in and kept me interested throughout. I recommend reading.

After being homeschooled for 18 years, Lou is finally going to a real school. She is enrolled in the Magic and Metaphysics Academy. She is surrounded by witches, vampires, shifters and other magical creatures. She soon learns that not everyone can be a friend. She has wonderful roommates, Estelle and Tyler. Three hot classmates, Brooks, Francis and Jayse. And the popular girls that just might not be nice.
A nice introduction to the magical creature academy. Greenwood and Boruff capture the feelings we might have had in our lives and does a great job of explaining them. Looking forward to the next chapter of there lives.

Action packed, emotionally thrilling, engaging and exciting adventure filled with danger, magic, interesting charters, witty banter and heart racing twists….. a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this journey and looking forward to more.
I loved everything about this book and just couldn’t put it down, fantastically written with stunning and captivating characters, Multi layers of sub plots that are easily followed and wonderful action with romance. A must read for so many reasons. I am sure you will love these books as much as I did.
Lou being a rare half vampire half witch halfbreed had been homeschooled her whole life. Now she was attending the Academy. She really liked her roommates and they wanted her to get in with the Sparkles to take the leader down. Oh and she really had the hots for two or maybe three of the hottest guys on campus. Fun read

This is a quick read about Lou a witch/vampire hybrid who is trying to hide who she is while at the academy for Supernaturals. I really enjoyed getting to know all of the characters and look forward to reading more books in this series.

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!
Fantabulous! This talented dynamic duo skillfully laid this baby out in all its delectable wonder. Emotions, personalities, attitudes and dynamics are 100% on point for realism. You feel as if you were dropped right in the middle of the excitement with them. I wasn’t sure what I expected from this exciting gem, but these guys definitely nailed this impressive bad boy. Wrestling through the trials and tribulations with a slew of plot twists and sleek turns that hook you from the start and reels you in for the duration. Vexing circumstances and inadvertent surprises spin, tossing this bad to a whole new level. With all the shenanigans and mayhem running rampant kept my total focus on this page flipping wonder, as well as balancing a razors edge. Scenes, characters, location and details were so realistic I had no trouble picturing each scenario as they play out right before my eyes. Awesome job guys, thanks for sharing this baby with us.
This is a cute start to a new series but what age are these girls supposed to be? The book states that they are all in the academy which would make them at least freshmen in college but they are all still acting like immature high schoolers by forming cliques and being mean to others attending the academy. I certainly hope the maturity level develops exponentially in the next books or I will be disappointed that I offered to review them for Ms. Greenwood.

Lou has started at a new school to further her education after being homeschooled her whole life. Now she is navigating threw mean girls learning how to master her witch magic flirting with boys and trying to keep her Vampire half secret oh and get revenge on the leader of the sparkles.
Fun read i think Lou is very sweet but naive about how mean some people can be. There is some light romance
and the start of a revenge plot. And a cliffhanger.
