I only posted one but all of their books are well written and enjoyable
First in the series and seriously great. The writing makes the characters feel real to me.
Good sense of humor always entertaining very imaginative I enjoy our entire series.
I love the Kate Daniels series! Exciting and entertaining. This is pure fantasy, but so much fun. Kate has the same problems every woman has, “does he love me or has he another motive.” Oh what a man, he can turn into a lion.
I love this series. The characters are interesting and they become better drawn out as the series progresses. Start from the beginning and read them in order – I think you will love them too.
Worldbuilding could use some work. It’s hard to understand the magic mechanics.
I LOVE this one, I have read it so many times that the binding is giving out-although I did get it used. It’s just different. a bit gory, but I skip over that part and they are few, thank goodness
I love, love, love her books! Buy them do not stop at go… You will not be disappointed!
I love this author. Characters are great. Can’t wait to read he rest of the series.
Great book
Great world building and an amazing kick-ass female lead character.
Ilona Andrews is without a doubt my favorite pair of authors. I have read every book in this series and can hardly contain myself waiting for the finale. This book had me up all night because I could not put it down. Please read it!!!
My favourite series. I just love Kate, she’s very real. The fact that she gets her butt kicked, even if she is strong and keeps getting back up, makes it more credible.
Love this series and can’t wait for the next one (I think it’s the final in this particular series).
If you are a fan of my Judah Black novels and haven’t read Kate Daniels, you need to go do that. Like, now. I’m actually mad at myself for waiting so long to read this series.
Kate is a badass with a sword in a world where magic breaks down skyscrapers and tech shuts down spells. They come in waves and you never really know when one will be up or fall back down, which complicates everything for Kate.
Best of all, the vampires are scary as hell and not the sexy variety. Go get these books.
This book is intriguing and makes you want to finish so you can go on to the next in the series. Would recommend. Reminds me a little of the Anita Blake series.
I’ve been reading this series since the second book released many moons ago and it’s still one of my favorite urban fantasy series out there! Magic Bites has a fair amount of world building as it sets the stage for a rollicking ride in future entries, but what makes the series so good are the characters themselves. Whether it’s the humans or the Pack, there are so many characters to love. Julie, Derek, even Ghastek I liked, but my absolute favorites were the main ones themselves, Kate and Curran. No damsel in distress to be found here! Instead, Kate is a hard-headed, mouthy heroine with a sarcastic wit that is balanced by her inherent willingness to right a wrong. Curran’s quick-wit, temper, and intelligence makes him a seriously delightful hero, yet pair him up with Kate, sit back and watch the fireworks fly! And they only get better with each consecutive entry.
Great series with a strong heroine and hero and cast of supporting characters
I cannot recommend a book, or an author more than the husband and wife team of Ilona Andrews. I first found them, and Kate Daniels, between the covers of an anthology, Dark and Stormy Knights. I bought the book for the Jim Butcher story, but stayed for Ilona. When I was done I prayed the author had written more about Kate Daniels and her post magic shift world. My prayers were answered immediately by the novel Magic Bites, and all the other novels in the series–I think there were five by then. So original–ugly, mindless bloodsuckers alone! A fun, lethal and flawed heroine (with a sword) and a gaggle of wild, twisted and deadly characters. And magic! Magic, magic, magic!!! This was so good, and I had the next novel ready to go before I was even half way through. Life would suck without Ilona Andrews novels. — Alice Bello is the author of Min’s Vampire, the Lucy Hart, Deathdealer Novels and the Ferro Mountains shifters series. She writes contemporary romance too.
This was the first UF I’ve read. I wasn’t sure about UF but after getting recommendations from friends on Goodreads I gave it a try. I’ll admit it was hard to get into at first, but after a few chapters boom I couldn’t put it down! I have the whole series to date and its my favorite series.
