Absolutely amazing book! I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down. You think you’ve figured it out, but there are so many twists and turns. The main character Naomi is a writer, and she seems to be the only person that can uncover the truth about Maggie. As I was reading I felt spooked out but in the best way possible. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!
I love the start of this book cat and the graveyard. What happen to Maggie will we find out. What is her story. After just ending a relationship and moving which one of these men is she able to trust for a new relationship one or both or neither. As Namio following the investigation of Maggie you are left gripped to yours pages unable to stop reading. As Naomi and Ryan relationship is one of the best I’ve ever seen as they set out to put Maggie mystery to rest i can’t help but think on this development. What a twist at the end.
Maggie (Maggie Trilogy Book 1) by Mya O’Malley. This is a creepy mystery that I loved! Its the story of Naomi who has moved into a house on the edge of an old cemetery. Most people would be scared but not Naomi she thinks its romantic. From the very beginning she believes her house is haunted and it makes her want to start her novel. She is led to a grave of a woman named Maggie by her cat Zelda. Deciding that her next novel will be about Maggie she starts to dig into the background of her death. She finds out it was a drowning/boating accident but Naomi doesn’t believe that. She also believes Maggie is the one haunting her house and wants Naomi to solve her murder. All the while Naomi meets a neighbor named Ryan that she meets while on a blind date with another man. During her research into Maggie’s death she meets Bryce and she’s immediately attracted to him. She is so confused about everything happening in her life. Will she solve Maggie’s murder so her spirit can be set free and will she choose which man she wants to share her life with. Read Maggie to find out. You will love it!
Maggie by Mya O”Malley was quite a nice surprise. It’s basically a “who done it” book with a little good clean romance thrown in. It’ the “who done it” part that was the big surprise. One of the reasons I like mystery is because I like the anticipation of figuring out the villain. In Maggie, it’s quite a trick. I thought I had it, but then I didn’t, then I had it, but then I didn’t. A thoroughly enjoyable book……and did I mention the ghost? A sweet little paranormal story with quite an interesting little twist.
Maggie is the first book in Mya O’Malley’s Maggie Trilogy. It’s a thrilling ghost story with plenty of mystery and suspense.
Our heroine, Naomi, finally overcomes her writer’s block when a ghost from the cemetery that backs onto her garden starts haunting her. Determined to tell Maggie’s story, Naomi is torn between creating a fictional version of events and uncovering the truth. With spooky dreams giving Naomi and the reader glimpses into Maggie’s fate as the book progresses, we are drawn into her story.
I particularly like Zelda, Naomi’s cat. Zelda plays a hugely important role in the story by first drawing Naomi’s attention to Maggie’s grave, and is always up to various antics. Full of character, Zelda is a great companion for Naomi and a catalyst (CATalyst!) for events.
There’s also a strong cast of (human) secondary characters. I was amused by Naomi’s friend Amy’s unfortunate attempts to set Naomi up with dates. I was entranced by little Holly’s instant affection for Naomi and her father Bryce’s warmth.
For me, this is a four star book. It kept me on edge throughout – a real page-turner. I’d recommend for fans of the paranormal. A great book to snuggle up with on a cold, dark night!
Maggie (Maggie Trilogy Book 1) by Mya O’Malley
5-Stars
Maggie (Maggie Trilogy Book 1) by Mya O’Malley was an exciting read. I loved the romance, mystery, and paranormal aspect of the story. Naomi is new to the town and is an author. Her new muse is a ghost haunting had. She is also dealing with issues from a past romance and is torn between two new guys. She is determined to figure out what happened to her muse and caused her to die. Maggie was too young to die.
The storyline is amazing and easy to get lost in. I could not put this book down. The characters were developed well and realistic. I found it easy to place myself in Naomi’s shoes in the story. I can’t wait to read the next book in this collection. I highly recommend it!
I loved this book from the get-go! Mya has a way of drawing her readers in and keeping them not only captivated, but entertained through the whole book.
Maggie by Mya O’Malley is the first book in her new trilogy and what a fantastic kick off. Naomi is a writer that attempts to stay open to everything around her, and looks at everything with her writer’s eye, full of curiousity and creativity. Meeting Ryan, she is immediately swept up in him. He is handsome, full of charisma and the perfect boyfriend. But then there is Bryce, the single dad who wants to help her grow and protect her any way that she might need. Nothing like confusing a girl’s love life with two perfect males. And there is no forgetting Maggie. Maggie’s life is a mystery, one that she is begging Naomi to solve. When Maggie begins to invade Naomi’s dreams and her house, Naomi’s life will turn upside down. The ensuing story is full of emotion, romance, suspense and even some funy parts. Watching Naomi lean into Maggie, finding her way through the days leading up to Maggie’s death and finding her own way in her life the story is both uplifting and emotional all wrapped up into one. O’Malley is a new to me author, and I am so happy that I took a chance on this book. The storyline, characters and writing style that she gives to her readers keeps you on your toes from beginning to end. The way that she wove the story of Maggie and Naomi together made for such a great read that I just couldn’t put it down. If you are looking for an amazing author with a fantastic voice than this is one that you need to add to your collection today!
Maggie by Mya O’Malley
Four Stars
Maggie is the first book in the Maggie Trilogy by Mya O’Malley. This is the first book I have read by Ms. O’Malley, but I will definitely be reading the rest of this trilogy because this first book really intrigued me. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning, with all the twists and turns, I didn’t know where we would be going next. This story flowed and before I knew it I was at the end. The paranormal factors were fascinating and Maggie was truly a strong and unusual character. If you like a great ghost story with romance added in, this is the book for you. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
This book is a great start to the triology! Naomi is starting over after a rough relationship and she buys a big gorgeous house next to a cemetery! The summary of the story is what caught my eye! This book pulls you in and wraps you up like being wrapped in a blanket. It has just enough scary and mystery and you find yourself not putting this book down. The author has a great attention to detail showing all that she can in the story without over doing it. When you finally start to meet Maggie she is an amazing soul! Can’t wait for the next book.
Maggie was a great and thrilling 5 star read.
Where to start with this review? I was pulled right in from the beginning. Naomi is a writer who has just recently moved into a home that is right next to a cemetery.
Naomi finds herself drawn to the grave of a young woman named Maggie. She also has a spirit in her home that she suspects may be Maggie, her cat Zelda seems to have a connection with the spirit. She starts to use Maggie as her muse for her next book. She discovers that Maggie died in a way that doesn’t make sense, she decides to start her own investigation.
Naomi also has an ex that has turned scary and stalkerish, he has seemed to have gone silent which makes her even more uncomfortable. She also meets a tall, dark and handsome man named Ryan and her neighbor Bryce and his cute little girl Holly. All of these characters play a great role in the story along with Maggie’s parents.
While doing her research she is also trying to figure out Ryan and if they can have anything between them? Bryce her neighbor is also stirring some feelings in her as well.
Can Naomi discover the truth? Will she be able to sort out her love life?
There is so much to this great story. So many twists and secrets revealed my head was spinning. I was in shock a few times, I didn’t see it coming at all. The ending is great and I was very happy with how things were left. Being next to the cemetery I can only wonder if Naomi might end up with another muse someday. If your looking for a great thrilling read with some paranormal experiences and finding love, this is your book. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author and trilogy.
Maggie by Mya O’Malley is the first book in the Maggie trilogy. The story is a paranormal romance. The main character Naomi shares her home with a spirit. She also has a lot going on in the dating department between Ryan and Bryce. The story is interesting and mysterious with the story of Maggie unfolding. Naomi is a smart writer who has found a muse in Maggie. She has the normal challenges with dating while being inspired to write and learn about Maggie’s life. The story flows quickly and I wanted to know Maggie’s story. There were some mysteries and thrills and chills. The romance that was brewing was nice and not over the top. I look forward to more in this trilogy.
Mya O’Malley’s Maggie is the first in the Maggie Trilogy; this paranormal mystery/suspense will immediately keep you on the edge of your seat. This is one of the best paranormal/ghost stories that I have read to date. I really liked the author’s style of writing within this book and how easily my interest was captured and maintain throughout the entire novel. I didn’t feel that there were any slow or dry spots within the story, but overall finely written and attuned to the readers’. This is definitely an author to keep an eye on within this genre!!
Maggie by Mya O’Malley is a book about a ghost as well as some romance and thrills! Naomi has a cemetery in her backyard and while it would bother most people she doesn’t mind it. A spirit starts kind of reeking havoc on her house so she decides to investigate along with her friend Ryan. She meets her also cute single dad neighbor as well and is torn between the two. Over all i think this book was fun. And I enjoyed it a lot. I love that I was kept guessing. I think the author did a great job and would definitely read others by her. 4 star rating!
Maggie by Mya O’Malley is amazingly well written. I absolutely love ghost stories and this one has everything i could ask for. Naomi is a writer and living next to a cemetery gives her lots of writing material. Especially when Maggie starts visiting not only Naomi’s home, but dreams as well. So the mystery of Maggie begins. If that wasn’t enough, throw in two new love interests and an ex-boyfriend and you have a book you can’t put down.
This book grabs you from the first page and keeps you wrapped up the whole way through. I ran through every emotion in this book. The way Mya has written the characters made this story so dimensional and I loved every one. This is a great read by an author New to me. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Maggie by Mya O Malley is the first book I’ve ever read by the author. I loved how well the story was pieced together. I normally avoid stories like this but going out of the box and I’m glad I did. This story follows Naomi who is a writer that is honest to a fault has a wild imagination that allows her to write successfully and she has moved into a home next to a cemetery. Maggie is you guessed it! A ghost! Naomi has made up her mind to help Maggie find out what happened to her. This book reminds you not everyone is who they seem to be.
Maggie (Maggie Trilogy Book 1) by Mya O’Malley is a story that captured my attention from the very get go and I couldn’t put it down until I reached the very end. The author has a way for details that make the story come alive with characters you love. I don’t find myself being surprised by books but this one definitely kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s the perfect mix of romance, mystery and paranormal. Each character brings their own uniqueness to the story making it one of my top favorites for this year. The storyline is so well thought out and paced nicely. I’m going to be adding this one to be read again list for sure. I’m a huge fan of characters who have come from a hard background getting to grown and truly find themselves. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend to everyone. I look forward to seeing what else this author has to offer readers.
Maggie by Mya O’Malley is the first book in her Maggie trilogy. This book is sure to have to guessing right to the end.
Naomi loves living next to a cemetery. It gives her all sorts of inspiration for her writing. Especially given that she is sharing her house with Maggie, a ghost.
Helping her solve her murder is perfect for her writing, even if it is a little mad at times.
To make her life even more complicated Naomi finds herself between two men, Ryan and Bryce. Not sure who she likes more or if there is anything between them Naomi has to figure things out.
But when helping Maggie turns a little dangerous Naomi might have other things to think about.
I really enjoyed this book. I found it to be gripping. The first chapter grabbed my attention. All the way through I was guessing trying to figure out what had happened and yet the author kept throwing curveballs that left me guessing until the end. Well written and with great characters, this is definitely a book you should read.
Maggie is the second book I’ve read by Mya O’Malley and I am completely hooked. It’s hard for me to put my feelings about Mya O’Malley’s writing into words, her paranormal romances are truly amazing. I finished Maggie in less than 24 hours, I didn’t want to put the book down, each twist and turn had me lost deeper in the storyline. I love how the story is written in two perspectives and features the past and present slowly unraveling the truth as both main characters almost parallel each other.
Without a doubt a 5 star read from me, I won’t go on any further because I am afraid of spoiling the story! Looking forward to more!
I came across Maggie by Mya O’Malley and let me just say that she has definitely piqued my interest. This book has a good taste of Paranormal twist in it – one which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I was very impressed with this authors ability to create a well-developed storyline as well as characters that leave an impression. I was surprised at how well the story flowed and how easy it was to follow.
I have to say that I’m intrigued by this author and am looking forward to reading more by her. This was definitely a 4 Star Book.
