He’s desperate. She’s a fraud. Together…they’re a disaster. To save his siren clan from the ravaging sea serpents, Gabriel must seek the help of a mage to recover the Legacy Stone and heal the oceans. That’s how he finds himself at Kerina’s doorstep, begging for her aid, and grateful when she reluctantly agrees. Now Gabriel and Kerina must survive the perils of the cursed seas and challenge the … seas and challenge the demonic Tua and his seven monstrous children for control of the Legacy Stone—a difficult enough task for a lone siren warrior and a powerful mage…
Except, Kerina’s not really a mage. The real mage died weeks before and hadn’t even been cold in her grave when Gabriel arrived desperate for her help. Kerina hadn’t exactly been eager to correct his mistake then, and now her lie of omission could leave the world in danger of complete extinction.
Kerina’s not sure how long she can keep up the ruse, and she’s running out of time to confess.

Mage’s Legacy by Jade Kerrion is a wonderful story to read. This is a wonderful story to read about urban fantasy and magic, demons, mermaids, and mages. I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves reading about magic, demons, mermaids, and mages.

I’ve always loved Rebecca’s books and this is no exception. A great addition to the Cursed Seas Collection!
I love books about mythical creatures and this one did not disappoint, we have sea monsters, sirens, maybe mages, demons and plenty of mystery, secrets and twists. I thought Kerina was great with how she took on the role of mage even though she isn’t but has the knowledge to some how wing it expertly but still cringed and hoped for the best at times due to her secret. Gabriel is a man err I mean siren on a mission who is strong and determined to do what he needs to in order to save his Clan. You definitely want to get comfy before you start as once you begin you won’t want to put it down!
It is hard to write a review when bubbling over with awe, excitement and wonder. It is hard for us to see what is right in front of us sometimes. This tale shows this beautifully. To keep from spoiling anything, I will say that the book is well written. The characters are complex and dynamic. The writing captured my imagination and sucked me in.The world building of Kerina and Gabriel’s world was spectacular. There were some choices that were made that I didn’t agree with, but that happens often enough and it is part of the discovery of a story. I would read this book again.
I would have called this a YA read until the story took a sharp turn when entering the caves of Tua. There were some things that happen that will disturb some readers, and there is nothing YA about it. 4.5 stars

Highly entertaining, action packed and engaging adventure filled with danger, mystery, magic and intriguing charters…. it is a story that have me turning pages needing to know more and enjoying every heart pounding twist and turn. Great reading.
Beautifully written story, amazing details, beautiful world building and great characters. The storyline was original, creative and entertaining. I definitely recommend this Paranormal adventure with sirens, a mistaken identity, cunning intellect, fights for survival and so much more. These authors had me sucked into the story right away and had me hooked all the way through with the non stop action and adventure.
I have been reading books by Jade Kerrion for ages and have also enjoyed books by Rebecca Hamilton for ages. (I suspect that I’ve read everything Jade Kerrion has published.) Each and every book of either of them that I’ve read has been, well, terrific. There was no way then that I was going to pass up the opportunity to grab on to a book that is co-authored by the two of them. That book, Mage’s Legacy (The Cursed Seas Collection), is also, well, terrific. A great plot with a neat twist to the characters and a storyline that leaves you guessing up to the nearly the very last chapter, strong world-building, lots of action, and a cast of characters led by siren Gabriel and (so very much non-mage) human Kerina that is perfectly crafted and superb. Not surprisingly considering the track record here, the writing was also superb. Read the publisher’s blurb. It describes things well enough without spoiling anything (which I’ve also worked to not do). If you find it at all appealing then I can safely predict you’ll really enjoy this book. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. This is actually the second novel in The Cursed Seas Collection that I’ve read. The other was Siren’s Calling by Alyssa Breckinridge and Anna Santos (another author favorite of mine). It had a similarity in plot in that there were sirens and a need to locate the Legacy Stone to save things but otherwise was a totally unique novel in every way. I separately reviewed it, also giving it 5 stars. I know that there are others in this series of related but unrelated standalone novels. If there is a chance that they’re anywhere near as good I will need to give them a try.
I really enjoyed this book. You get a huge adventure in this book with a very satisfying ending. A lot happens in this book which keeps you turning the pages. I don’t want to give a lot away so it’s hard to give a review. You get a love story, a rivalry, adventure, survival and an interesting new world. If you love a great adventure you will totally enjoy this book.

Such a tale. Fighting the fates, Gabriel and Kerina was looking for something they were told would bring back the rain, fish and crops. Many things missing from everyone’s life. What they had to go through would have made many quit, just give up. Good storytelling, good book.
