This is Maeve’s story…
He’s all business. She loves to laugh. When business conflicts with pleasure, what could possibly go wrong?

Edward Newell had one thing on his mind when he reached Corsica, and it didn’t involve meeting a perfect match. Dating? Love? Romance? Not for him.
He was determined to find the picture-perfect location for his thriving hotel chain.

Since having read one other by this author I was so delighted with it I wanted to read another with this being the choice.
The main character Maeve whom gets a offer that could not be refused. The catch was with whom and that would be Edward. He had other motives than what they were supposed to be. Funny how when they do meet things go a different way for both of them which I am sure neither expected. It will have its fair share of drama going also in a direction that shows life is not all peaches and cream. Does pull on the emotional strings with you holding your breath at times to see where it ends up at.
Sweet story of two people from different worlds, who meet through an invitation to a perfect match vacation. The location of the story adds greatly to understanding the characters and their motivation. A little drama and then our HEA
A cute romance. Maeve’s life is anything but glamorous, so when she if offered a chance to spend a week on a beautiful island, she grabs it. Edward is a workaholic and he has everything he could ever want. But, when he and Maeve are matched, he isn’t prepared for the way she makes him feel. Can if be love when they have only known each other for a few days? Their lives are so different, can they make a go of it?
I love Josie Riviera’s romances!
Edward Newell is a billionaire resort owner. Maeve Doherty lives in Ireland and works as the purchasing for the Merrimac Company while caring for her brother who is in remission from cancer. Both are workaholics with no time or inclination for relationships. They would likely never meet except for being selected by the Perfect Match Company to partake in a week’s vacation in Corsica based on their profile matches. The activities orchestrated by Perfect Match give them ample time to get to know each other but the surprise visit of Edward’s wealthy “friends” make the difference between their worlds apparent and may derail everything.
This is a beautifully written clean romance. I enjoyed the interaction between Maeve and Edward and the lovely setting for the book in a country I have always wanted to visit. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
I enjoyed this book as with all Josie Riviera’s books that I have read. Both our hero and heroine enter this “week with your perfect match” with no intentions of being interested in a romantic outcome. Both are workaholics and fully intend this to be a “working” week. Maeve and Edward are strong characters that are from different socio-economic statuses. Good unexpected twist at the end.
I was given a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Josie Riviera brings us a working class Irish girl meets English billionaire story. One does have to question a computer logarithm that would put them as perfect matches. Being workaholics and both in the hotel business are the only obvious common points. Perhaps the computer knows more than what is on the surface. This story is funny, has the perfect amount of conflict and tender moments. I love the Dawson quotes, tying this story to the other Perfect Match stories. A totally enjoyable book
This was a sweet romance with two people who would likely never have met in real life. Edward was rich and ran his family’s hotel/resort business and she is a purchasing agent. He lives in London, she lives in Ireland. They both went from planning on just meeting and seeing one another to fulfill the minimum for the Perfect Match free trip to actually caring for each other. The mismatch of rich/working class was obvious from the start, but of course some friends throw that into more. This book is part of the Perfect Match books, but stands alone.
This was a sweet matchmaking romance taking place in Corsica, France. I’ve never thought to visit Napoleon’s home town, but I’ve always wanted to visit France and I loved the book’s descriptions of the places to visit in the area. Maeve, which is a cool Irish name and Edward are attracted to each other from the start, but neither agreed to the Perfect Match setup looking for a long term relationship. There were plenty of sweet, funny, romantic, and misunderstandings in the clean vacation romance.
Get ready to enjoy Maeve Doherty and Edward Newell ‘s bumpy journey to love while staying on an island for a week. Enjoyed these characters and story line. Part of the Perfect match series.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
I just finished Mave and I am so pleased this book filled every mental checklist I had hoped for.
Mave and Edward seemed to be characters from a fairytale, that came to be living and breathing people who were determined to be each their own person. Each was determined to go through the motions of their commitment to “Perfect Match” knowing it was just a working holiday with no personal risks or entanglements.
The setting in Corsica is exotic and stunning. Beautiful sun, flowers, cliffs, hotel and sea, make me want to book a flight now and find my own magical place.
I didn’t realize I was hungry for this amazing adventure, but I feel uplifted and content with the adventure I have just lived.
Edward Newell is a very wealthy London businessman who owns his own international hotel resort chain.
Maeve Doherty is simply an employee at a small, local hotel in Dublin, Ireland, and lives paycheck to paycheck.
Both have agreed to participate in an all expense paid vacation for Perfect Match, a matchmaking company.
Although they are each attracted to the other, Maeve is constantly reminded that their lives are worlds apart financially. When a mean spirited prank from one of Edward’s friends causes her to lose her job, can she find the courage to tell him? Is she up to the challenge of his world?
This is a modern retelling of the Cinderella story. I found it fresh and engaging. I also enjoyed all the references to Corsica. Maeve is strong and independent, the perfect match for Edward. He is confident and attentive, exactly what she needs. I found their characters are well defined.
Romance – PG – lots of kissing
Language – PG / Clean
Violence – accident where one character has a minor injury.
My rating – 4 stars
A very touching story about a single mother. I found the book to be very inspirational in the context. A great book to read!Maeve may be the Perfect Match Book 6 but it is the second book in the series for me to read. Josie Riviera gives us a heroine in desperate need of a vacation. She is also in need of a perfect match, so I was cheering her on all the way. Of course, her match turns out to be someone just as driven as she is. I liked Maeve more so then Edward.
Not a long story but one that was easy to invest into the outcome. It is well-written; making their week look inviting and enticing even with the work that they still managed to incorporate into their time together. I enjoyed the Irish background even if I disliked the company where Maeve worked. With all that goes wrong for her, the end is quite satisfying.
I loved this story and couldn’t put it down and I hope you find this book as enjoyable as I did.
I received this ARC from the author with no compensation and no expectations of a review. I wrote this review because I truly loved this story and want others to want to read it and hoping they do. I guarantee you won’t regret it.
Love this authors books and this one is a great addition. It’s part of a great series, but easily stands on its own as well. Perfect book to bring on your summer vacation!
I received an arc of this book. My opinions are my own.
Maeve Perfect Match Series by Josie Riviera
Love how this series, all standalones with a common theme, came to be, so cool!
This book starts out with Maeve and she’s been so busy tending to her ailing brother and working and her friends notice it also. The match site owners want her to try out their service-pick an island and spend the alloted time together with her perfect match, while the company takes photos of them enjoying each other and the location.
She makes arrangements and ends up going to her island of choice, Corsica. Love the reasons why she wants to go there. She is treated with high regard when she arrives-eveything is seen to and her match have itinerary they are following-places to see, things to do, and relaxing. She is a purchaser of hotel equipment.
Story also is folling Edward and he is part owner of a huge company that is interested in making another resort-that’s why he wants to go to the location-to take photos of the area and to see if it will work. He and Maeve do spend a lot of time together, getting to know one another and they are really from the different parts of society that you know it will never work out for their match.
Love the things they do, how caring each is to the other, especially love the food topics and sights and surprises. One doesn’t go as planned when they meet up with Edward’s friends and they really make her see a different side to Edward. Upon return she is summoned back to Ireland, an emergency. You know it was too good to be true.
Note from the author about the location, recipe included, acknowledgements, About the author and list of other works by the author are included at the end along with an excerpt from the next book.
I received this review book from the author and this is my honest opinion.
A sweet and heartwarming story. I enjoyed the storyline. I enjoy the connection between the characters. It’s fun and entertaining quick read.
A very touching story about a single mother. I found the book to be very inspirational in the context. A great book to read!
Maeve Doherty, an Irish lass who works hard
plus takes care of her brother who was diagnosed
with cancer. She needs a break. Maeve receives
an invitation to the Perfect Match Island vacation.
Maeve hesitates but in the end accepts with
Corsica as her Island. It is an island in the
Mediterranean Sea, located southeast of the
French mainland and west of the Italian Peninsula.
Edward Newell is her match. Edward is a hotel
chain owner and a millionaire.
Both are not looking for love…..just a week to work
looking at property for their companies and have
some fun in the sun.
They go hiking, deep sea fish, fly to dinner on the
French Riviera, go to an elite yacht party then
Maeve is called to report immediately back to work.
You will enjoy their fun week filled with shenanigans.
They find that even although they differ in status,
both find each other easy to talk to and get alone
quite well.
Back in Ireland, Maeve lose her job as being with
Edward looking at property was considered a conflict
of interest.
What will happen to jobless, broken-hearted Maeve?
Will she fight for her dream of love with Edward? Will
he want someone like her?
The characters were three dimensional, realistic,
well defined, endearing and very interesting.
They are situated in vividly described settings.
The reader will feel as if they are right there taking
part in the story.
The secondary characters are very well written.
They enhance the story. Pierre was my favorite!!
This story is power packed with emotion, family
issues, fear to love again, personal growth,
friendship and love.
A Highly Recommended well written, heartwarming
story!!!
What a wonderful, sweet, romantic book! Josie Riviera writes such realistic, complex characters. I loved Maeve and Edward an their chemistry. Their wonderful week in Corsica kept me turning the pages. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a clean island romance between a hotel purchasing agent and a millionaire hotel owner.
When the offer from Perfect Match to enjoy a week on Corsica with her perfect match appears Maeve isn`t sure, she has so much responsibilities but she needs a break. When she is there she has to combine business (for her boss) with pleasure. Then there is Edward, he`s just business. Falling in love was not what they had planned. But what will happen when they find their perfect match in each other? And coming from very different backgrounds, can Maeve fit in Edwards life?
This is such a fun holiday story that you will read with a smile on your face.
What a great way to end the Perfect Match series! I loved the story, the setting, the characters – all of it! Maeve was kind and unselfish. Edward was charming and a gentleman. Their first meeting made me laugh! They definitely had the chemistry, but I appreciated the fact that it was all of the other things that really brought them together. There were so many wonderful moments, and a great ending!
I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.
