Love is a strange master…I am Immortelle…the woman who lives. As a honed weapon for the Cabal, I was made to kill. To defeat my enemies. To win.I was made to survive whatever was thrown at me.What I wasn’t prepared for was surviving after love. When I lost my family, I became the living embodiment for vengeance, killing all who had robbed me of my peace.I expected retribution. Instead, I … me of my peace.
I expected retribution. Instead, I received an unusual offer: to accept an inheritance.
If I claim it, I will have the power to seek the shimmering future that I desperately want. But, I will also inherit new enemies who want that power for themselves.
A blessing and a curse. Two fates tied to the same coin.
Fortunately, I don’t have to decide alone.
At my side are four immortal warriors who will stand by me through anything, even against a looming threat…
Maestra continues the story of Immortelle. This dark Urban Fantasy is meant for mature readers, and contains reverse harem romance themes.

Love everything about this book. I love all the characters especially swoon worthy Fear and Death. This book is a definite must read
Wow! So much information and discovery in this one. We get action packed reading from the start, with so many new and old connections forming and evolving! This book left me with more questions than answers but this is a great thing because I am more curious about the big finale!
Immortelle is learning that love can have many forms, she is more into accepting her relationship with Death. War definitely makes his intentions clear too.
I am happy to say we get more Fear in book 2.
So get ready to embark in the continuation of Ms Lucy’s story were nothing is what it seems!
I think I enjoyed the second book to Imortelle’s story better than the first book. There was interesting world building that added to the lore of this gray sided underworld. It wasn’t typically evil v. good, despite the fact that there are atypical villains in the story. This difference is a new reading experience for me.
The character development with Immortelle and her harem is the icing on the cake to this engrossing plot. The relationships help bring more of Immortelle as an individual, which I hope continues as the series progresses.
Maestra (Immortelle Book 2) Kindle Edition
by Elle Cross
I loved the first in this series, as a fan of Keanu and John Wick. Part of me was disappointed that the second parted ways with the series (I was looking forward to the tailor scene) but the rest of me was enraptured by the new take.
Immortelle’s own mythology is brilliant and her men have entranced me. Immortelle will live on past this series, becoming one of the female leads that other writers aspire to creating. Mortal with the heart and memories of a never dying weapon, she truly should have more than just three books (which seems to be the projection.) For me, she measures up to Jane Eyre (that’s saying a lot for a girl who thrives on Charlotte Bronte) and more modern heroines like Anita Blake.
Death is sexier than any living or immortal male I’ve had the pleasure of reading in a very very long time. His eternal love for Immortelle is what every breathing woman has ever dreamed of. He is three dimensional, even when he is in the Otherworld as is War. War is more raw, rougher around the edges. I see him as a Celt with blue woad and braids. Strife and Mischief, twins and truly creatures of their names, are playful and dangerous.
The worlds that Ms. Cross moves us through are beyond the myths of childhood. They are the dark worlds of Maerchen (German Fairytales) and of the Tuatha De Danaan/Sihde of Celtic legend. Even the sweetest appearing creatures are deadly.
I seriously am sending up prayers that Ms. Cross is kind enough to gift us with at least the third book and that the Lovecraftian Elder Gods make their tentacles known.
This is one of those series that if I were to win a massive lottery I would finance into being as either a series of blockbuster movies or Hulu/NetFlix series.
Cliffhanger warning!! Because I’m already starving for book three as it is, I skipped the preview.

Elle Cross has blown me away yet again! I seriously fell in love with Lucy in book one but Imomortelle, now she’s one strong woman and hot damn is she. Oh yeah and her guys aren’t so bad either haha, I mean who doesn’t love these four horsemen, am I right? Death grew on me right away in book one, but War is yummy. I really wish I had more stars to give this book, it’s action packed, fast paced, dark, violent and we really get to see Immortelle grow as a character and into the potential we saw forming in book one. Elle did a fantastic job with the writing, the description and world building are incredible, the heat is there in spades, and the twists and turns through the story arc are freaking phenomenal! I can not recommend this series enough and I very much look forward to reading how things come together!
I absolutely loved Maestra just as much as I did Nemesis, and I can’t wait until Invicta is here because I have to know where Elle Cross is going to take this amazing story that she is weaving!
The Immortelle series is so addicting with constant building and releasing that I was kept sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading this book!
Elle Cross knows how to create the perfect blended story, she knows when to add the action and she knows when to add some steam, and she definitely knows how to keep her readers kept in suspense and wondering what’s going to happen next!
So yes it’s going to be a big HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend this book to anyone who’s searching for a amazing story to climb into and get completely lost within its pages.
But a word of advice if you haven’t read Nemesis then I highly suggest that you do that way you’ll understand this book a lot better.
Immortelle is an amazing FMC, her strength, values, curiosity and quick mind and also her personality just make up an awesome character. I really liked reading about her interactions with Death, War, Mischief, Strife and Fear. I love how some of the mysteries surrounding Immortelle are coming to light. The book and the series so far are creative and beautifully intense. The story flows so well and the character development over the 2 books so far is phenomenal. Elle does it again with another spectacular book. I can’t wait for book 3 need to know what is going to happen next!
