Who the hell is Deacon Fury? That’s the question I asked myself when I was fifteen and saw his name on my birth certificate for the first time. Deacon Fury may be long gone from this world, but at least he left behind a legacy – the Savage Kings MC. Deep down, I knew that I was destined to become a King too. That’s what brought me to Emerald Isle four years ago. And after putting in the hard …
And after putting in the hard work, I’m a breath away from patching in, becoming a brother.
That is, until she took my breath away.
One of my final orders as a prospect was to find Audrey O’Neil and keep her safe during the hurricane that devastated the coast.
War is not only my sponsor, he’s been like a father to me since I first came to town. Now, I’m falling for his sister, and if War finds out, he’ll kill me.
But how am I supposed to choose between following in my father’s footsteps with the MC or being with the one woman who makes me feel like I’m already a Savage King?
This is the fifth book in the Savage Kings MC series, but it can be read as a standalone.
The suggested reading order is:
Chase
Abe
Torin
War
Maddox
more
After being introduced to Maddox in War’s book I have been curious about his story and his story was intriguing to say the least. Maddox discovers a shocking truth that he never knew, which leads him on a path right to the Savage King’s MC. All he wants is to become part of the MC, a brotherhood, a family which is something he never really had. Audrey is the tantalizing temptress that definitely throws a kink in Maddox plan especially when he finds out whose sister she is, can we say “Oh Shit!” I was so consumed by this story that I had it read in less than 24 hours, which left me wanting so much more! Lane is a master at giving us a story that grips us, captivates us, consumes us and has us begging for more, more more! I highly recommend not only this book but the whole series!
Maddox was awesome! It started out rough where we got his back story, and then takes us to him wanting to get patched into the Savage Kings. Turns out he more connected with him than anyone expected. He and War’s sister, Audrey, had some sparks flying, and their story was filled with humor, steamy heat, and an entertaining story!
Its an emotional journey that Maddox started when he found out at 15 years that the man he thought was his father was not. He surely showed the MC that he was every inch of the patch as he did not take the easy way and the shocking bit of it is that love of a good woman that shows him what he really wants.
“Tell me or I will tickle it out of you” lol!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously Maddox had me in stiches with that statement given the circumstances.
But my god Maddox is definitely one of a kind at his age what a shocker and surely a matchmade in heaven with Audrey.
I liked Audrey’s go getter attitude with principles, goes to show that she has the same attitude as he brother after all.

Another installment in the Savage Kings MC Series, and I’m still loving it!
Digging deeper into the lives of each of the members while finding out more about the club is a great journey.
I am especially looking forward to the installment after Dalton (which is in the Wanted Anthology), Reece.
I love this series!! Maddox is a prospect in the club his father built. He never met his father before he died. He has family in the club, but keeps it secret. He falls for War’s sister during a hurricane. There is plenty of hot steamy scenes and action going on! I highly recommend this book and the complete series!

It’s Savage King’s time again, and this time we get to find out all about Maddox, a prospect whose main goal is to be a full fledge King. He does everything they ask of him, especially his sponsor War. When War asks him to help his sister during a storm, he goes above and beyond. He’s holding onto some secrets, and you’re going to love reading about them and what happens when they come to light
PHENOMINAL writing, AMAZING characters, & COMPELLING plot. FIRST MUST-BUY of 2019!!
“MADDOX” is the story of a real man – one who holds his emotions inside (for the most part), one who protects what he sees as his, and who puts his brothers – their safety and the safety of their families – before himself. The kind of man anyone would want at their side, and Maddox is that man! A book boyfriend extraordinaire and one-half of the dynamic duo who are the center of this AMAZING MC romance. I am at a loss to find the word adequate to describe the impact of this phenomenally well written story. EVERY emotion was touched or played to its fullest! The word-craft is OUTSTANDING! Not only did this reader feel a part of the story, she so closely identified with Audrey that the story seemed more realistic with every page. “MADDOX” is an MC romance, so those under the age of 18 need not apply, but for those over 18, get ready for a wild ride that is so compelling it may leave readers feeling bereft as the story ends. The Savage Kings MC is made up of MEN, who like Maddox see the club as a family to be treasured, an association to keep sacred, and a brotherhood to protect no matter the cost. While I voluntarily read a copy of “MADDOX,” and am leaving this voluntary honest review, “MADDOX” will be placed in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle to be read again and again. If there is ONE ROMANCE to read to begin 2019 in style, then “MADDOX” is eBook to CHOOSE! Romance lovers should get their copies of “MADDOX” today!! Happy pages!
Maddox has been working and waiting long and hard to finally get patched in with the Savage Kings. His history is an additional incentive but after “helping” War’s sister during a hurricane, things get pretty sticky for him. My heart has been set on Maddox from the beginning. He’s such a good guy and I was curious to find out what his story was. After the prologue I was even more excited to learn how his tale was going to end and I was not disappointed.
While Audrey was, initially, not my personal favorite heroine, she is one that several readers are going to love. And I have to admit, as this author gave me a bit of a wakeup call about heroines who are free to live life their own way without double standards, I had to agree. My feelings immediately switched regarding the decisions she had made in the past.
Maddox stayed true to the hero I had hoped him to be. His dedication is to the MC and then switched to Audrey. I loved that the choices he made, while not always the easiest, showed him to be a real hero. My heart hurt for him when he has to pay the ultimate price for some of those decisions. I wanted him to have his happy ever after, in every aspect of his life.
This is a fast paced read with a bit of gritty MC life, plenty of steam, and more of the deliciousness that is the Savage Kings. I’m not sure how many more books are planned for this series, but I’m already mourning the loss of them when they end. However, until that time, we have a look at Dalton coming up in the Wanted Anthology and I can’t wait to see what is in store for him.
When this book started I want sure what to think of Audrey and Maddox but a the book went on, I was drawn into them more.
This story is a bit less ‘action packed’ than the last 4 but is still a beautiful story. It sets up for the next 2 books in the series and sucks you in to the bigger picture.
Poor Maddox has had a hard go over the last few years. Finding out you aren’t who you thought you were upends his world.
Audrey in her own way has had it tough but being Wars sister makes her off limits. But what people don’t know won’t hurt them……
I love how this story develops and their love for each other comes through

Maddox, Savage Kings MC, by authors, Lane Hart and D.B. West continues the excellent storyline in this book five that began with book one, Abe.
Maddox is a prospect hoping to become a full member. He is an innocent in so many ways. His sponsor is War who has a sister, Audrey. She is ignorant about the MC but not about life. As a favor to War, Maddox attempts to help out Audrey which turns into a three day love fest.
Maddox matures, shows ethical boundaries and a background that pleases the core members. This is a nice change from the other books in that the other members were hardened members and Maddox has yet to reach that cynical view.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment.

Maddox is another great book in the Savage Kings series and even though it stands alone, I recommend reading the previous books so that you understand all the characters in this series because there are a lot of them! Maddox is a prospect for the club and has a bit of a secret. His biological father was one of the club’s founders and the late uncle of Chase and Torin Fury. He came to the club after graduating high school to see what it was about and maybe learn a bit about his late father but kept this information to himself. War has been his sponsor since the beginning so when War asks Maddox to get his little sister to safety during a hurricane, he jumps to it. Audrey is a college student at an all girls school with a very overprotective older brother. She may be small is stature but she is mighty in personality. She also has a few phobias and one of them is storms. She plans to stay holed up in her apartment no matter what this cute stranger says. These two are adorable together! I know that sounds crazy since this is a MC book but they are. They are young and falling in love no matter that Maddox knows War will kill him for messing around with his sister. It’s written like all the rest of the series in dual POV, plenty of steam, some laughs. I recommend this series completely.
Another enjoyable story in this series. Maddox has worked hard and done whatever was asked of him to earn a spot in the club. His unexpected feelings for Audrey almost cost him everything he has worked for.

Was hoping for more about Maddox after the end of the last book! This was fantastic! Some unexpected twists and great characters!

Maddox by Lane Hart and D.B. West a five-star read that will make you roar. This is the fifth novel in the Savage Kings series, but they can be read as stand-alone, but you will only want to go back and read them all so just start from the beginning if you like a great series. This one was so much deeper that the previous novels, I don’t know if it was the fact that we know everyone so much better or just Maddox himself, but I adored this one so much, it made me laugh and it made me cry. If Reece and his story are half as good as this, I think it may just be one of the best reads of next year. I think I enjoyed this one so much as we get to see Maddox grow into himself and becoming a man his old man would be proud of even if he takes the long road to get there, that being said if you were on the back of a beautiful bike I’m sure you would take the long road as well.
4*
Maddox is desperate to patch into the mc so when War gives him a task to collect his sister Audrey from the hurricane he jumps.
Audrey hates storms since loosing her parents but will she believe Maddox & what secrets has War been keeping will Maddox confess his secrets.
Another fabulous addition to the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
MADDOX is the fifth instalment in Lane Hart and DB West’s contemporary, adult SAVAGE KINGS MC erotic, romance series focusing on the members of the Savage Kings MC. This is Savage Kings MC prospect Maddox ‘Mad Dog’ Holmes (aka Fury), and college student Audrey O’Neil’s story line. MADDOX can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion.
NOTE: MADDOX contains scenes of torture that may not be suitable for some readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Maddox and Audrey) MADDOX follows the building but forbidden relationship between twenty-one year old Savage Kings MC prospect Maddox ‘Mad Dog’ Holmes (aka Maddox Fury), and college student Audrey O’Neil. When a hurricane descends upon Wilmington, North Carolina, Savage Kings MC Man- at –Arms Warren ‘War’ O’Neil calls upon prospect Maddox Holmes to rescue his sister Audrey from potential danger, a woman who doesn’t want rescuing and refuses to leave her college apartment. What ensues is the quick building sexual relationship between Maddox and Audrey as Audrey stubbornly denies the truth about her identity, and the potential fall-out as Audrey’s past history with men pushes Maddox to run, and the threat of death from our heroine’s brother.
Audrey O’Neil uses $ex to get what she wants but her history with men will threaten what little semblance of control she has over her life. Blackmail and intimidation from the men in charge reinforces the hidden danger for a woman trying to survive in a world controlled by men. Six years earlier, a then fifteen year old Maddox Holmes discovered he was the bastard son of the late Deacon Fury- the founder and former president of the Savage Kings MC. A stint in military school, and his on-going hatred towards his mother for her secrets and lies, finds Maddox searching for the people and life his father once loved.
The relationship between Maddox and Audrey begins acrimoniously. Maddox is assigned to look after our heroine but Audrey refuses to confess her identity demanding $ex and companionship before revealing the truth. Caught between duty and lust, Maddox takes advantage of what Audrey offers but in doing so places them both in a compromising situation. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and seductive.
The secondary and supporting characters include several members of the Savage Kings MC including president Torin Fury, VP Chase Fury, Man at Arms Warren O’Neill and his significant other Nova, computer hacker and IT specialist Reese, as well as a number of potential prospects.
MADDOX is an animated, spicy and spirited storyline. The premise is startling; the romance is energetic; the characters are colorful, sassy and sensitive. MADDOX is a story of family, friendship, courage and love.
I have been eager to read this book ever since I was introduced to Maddox in War’s book. Just like the previous books Lane Hart does not dissapoint. The book is full of savage kings, action and love.

Book five of the Savage Kings MC series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone, told in dual POV with HEA. Each book is about a different member of the Savage Kings MC. I loved Maddox’s story! He is a rare man to have avoided the temptation of the women in the clubhouse. Maddox has been prospecting with the MC and is very close to patching in, something he has wanted for a long time and it is what he feels he was born to do. He meets Audrey when doing his sponsor Warren, a favor. I loved their chemistry! She looked to him when she needed help, and he was her fierce protector! Super sweet epilogue!!
Read: 1/24/21
Maddox was the fifth book in the Savage Kings MC series by the authors Lane Hart and DB West.
Maddox and Audrey’s introduction was provided in book four. Audrey was War’s sister who was away at college and completely sheltered from the MC. Maddox was the Savage Kings prospect that was sent to ensure her safety during the impending hurricane. After the epilogue – which was great btw – book five began near the end of War and filled in details that coincided with War’s story. It then took us through the expected conflicts of betraying a brother by secretly falling for his sister.
In the end it was a fast and enjoyable read. I wanted a little more from Audrey at times but overall it fit with the series while progressing the MC conflict that was the common thread throughout the series. More to come in Dalton’s book next.
