From an author duo of USA Today Bestselling Authors, comes the third COMPLETE STANDALONE in the Modern Love Series.Who knew my brother’s friend could be Mr. Right, and not just Mr. Right Now?My brother refused to introduce me, so I blame him. If he’d just caved, and introduced me to Jasper, I wouldn’t be in this mess. I mean, really, what’s the big deal? I’m not interested in the guy’s looks.Oh … the guy’s looks.
Oh no, I want his cold hard cash. (Be honest, you were expecting that other four letter ‘c’ word weren’t you?)
Now, before you go getting all judgy, I’m not a gold digger. I have a legitimate business opportunity for Jasper to invest in. The problem is that my stick-up-his-ass brother is embarrassed that his twin sister invents kick ass sex toys. His problem, not mine.
So, I took matters into my own hands. Defeat isn’t a word in Lennon Hart’s dictionary.
Using my stealthy P.I. moves, I narrowed my search to a time and place where I knew I could find him. It was completely innocent. A chance meeting that would give me the opportunity to pitch my business.
It wasn’t until I sat down across from the gorgeous panty soaking man in front of me, that I realized I wanted so much more than just his money. I could very well want his heart if I wasn’t careful.
Apparently my P.I. skills aren’t as stellar as I thought because Jasper had his own secret—and it changed EVERYTHING.

I highly recommend you read this series in the order in which it was written. It isn’t that The Banker cannot stand on its own, it’s that these guys are connected and in each others’ books so for an even better experience, you should read all three 🙂
I have to say that this was my favorite of all three. It was ridiculously LOL hilarious and sweet and sexy and flirty and also a little on the heart-breaking side but over all you and your heart will smile thru this whole journey!
I knew from the beginning I would be invested and captivated because Lennon and Jasper’s meet just hit all the marks! They connected immediately and sparks flew!
I’m gonna miss this series a lot! I’ve had a really great time reading every book! I especially loved the way Piper Rayne brought everyone together to bring the series to a close 🙂 WELL DONE!
Lennon goes down. Lol. I love this entire series. I will definitely be doing a reread. It was that good.
This book made me laugh, cry and want to throw my kindle a few times.
I have enjoyed getting to know all of the characters in all three books in this series. I loved Lennon the best; she is so full of life and ready to fulfil her dreams. Jasper is amazing and HOT and dominating.
Jasper is an investor and the man she needs to help her get her business open, but her banker brother won’t introduce her to him. She decides that she will come up with a way to meet him…just to get the investment of course…until she meets him and then the chemistry she feels for him is not helping her. Then bam there is a secret that Jasper is keeping about his past. Will this secret keep them apart?
The Banker is the third book in The Modern Love Series and it is my favorite one. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading books one and two first as it will help you get an understanding of the characters better. I am very disappointed that this series ended, but so glad I could read them all. If you have not read any of these, I suggest to go and one click. You will not be disappointed.
Lennon is headstrong and in it to win it! She is interested in a work venture and needs an investor to help her business get off the ground…enter Jasper Banks. This pair is quirky, lovable, sexy and just awesome! I love the wit and fight that Lennon has for herself, her business her family and her friends. The passion that she loves life with is awe-inspiring! Jasper is protective, loyal and so swoon-worthy! He compliments Lennon perfectly! This is the third installment of the Modern Love Series and it brings back characters we love from the precious two books and gives us so much more into the inner workings of Lennon and how Jasper comes to play an important role! I want a love like this! Piper Rayne is magical with their words!
I wish I could give more stars cause this book was perfect.
I have to say and I’m surprised that I am because the first 2 books was absolutely ahhmazing but this one was like the frosting on the cake it was my favorite. I laughed, I cried, I was so anxious that I actually had to take one of my nerve pills….lol
I’ve never, never had a book to bring my anxiety out that bad before and it was awesome!!!! I know that it sounds weird but it was truly wonderful and true bookworms will actually understand this. But I’m also so sad I didn’t want this book to end, I don’t won’t this series to end!!! Piper and Rayne could write 50 books about Whitney, Talhia, and Lennon and I would read every single one!!! I am a fan of these two writing together for life and I’ve said it before I don’t care who they are and if they ever tell us as long as they keep putting out fabulous books for me to read is all I care about.
From the first page to the last page Lennon and Jasper will both have you wrapped around your fingers and you will love it. You will enjoy their banter and their chemistry, which btw is hot so it will leap of your kindle and burn your fingers. Also there is some great surprises that is going to melt your heart. I highly highly recommend this book! I actually recommend this entire series!!!! And if you want to find out all of the fuss about the unicorn cocks you need to read these books…lol I love these books and can’t wait to see what else Piper & Rayne have in store for us!!!
Loved it so much, I got the book while on vacation! I wish there was a sequel to all the books. Like a part 2 or something.
Each book I have read from Piper Rayne I think there is no way they can top it… yeah I was so wrong! I think Lennon and Jasper are my favorite coupe! I love Lennon’s take me as I am attitude because we shouldn’t change for anyone and Jasper was definitely the sexy as hell alpha male looking for “The One” to complete him. I could not put this book down, it had me laughing and crying. This book definitely sent this series out with a bang! This is a MUST read…..amazing!
I think the third book of this mini series was my favorite of the three. I love the spirit and drive Lennon has to go after what she wants. I feel like the push and pull with Lennon and Jasper felt real, like something a real couple would struggle. I guess you could say their relationship was relatable for me. I definitely recommend this series and think it is worth reading if you want a romance series that you can fly through and not put down.
Jasper and Whitney May be my favorite couple out of the three friends in the series. Whitney is funny has hell! She gives Jasper a run for his money. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc, but I loved it so much I purchased my own copy.
I liked Jasper he was such a good dad to Brady. I was happy to see Lennon the wild one of the all the girls in this series settle down. Jasper and Lennon had off charts sparks between them . I thought Lennon grew up some in this book when she was making choices about her life. And the ending was perfect for the book .
4.5Swoon-Worthy Stars
Lennon is a loose cannon and completely uninhibited. Wild, carefree and loves things that way. She likes to do what she wants, when she wants. And men…she likes them without strings and whenever she wants!
She runs her own tattoo shop but she has another dream. She wants to design and sell her own line of sex toys and all she needs is an investor. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. No bank will take the risk, so she’s forced to look elsewhere…enter Jasper Banks.
Jasper and his partner are the guys who take risks. They invest in ventures they feel are worth it and will make them money too. The only problem is getting a meeting with him.
Lennon finds a way, but he is nothing like she expected. Instant attraction throws her entire plan right off course. Both of them have secrets. Secrets always come out.
These two are so hot together! She’s sexy, funny and doesn’t hold back. He’s her perfect match because he can hold his own with her. Both are traveling down a path neither have gone down before. The road is rocky, but the ending is swoon-worthy! And my fav thing…the Starbucks cups A great story that will get you hot and melt your heart!
Hilarious!! I love it & would recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic comedy!
I love the Modern Love Series because it has something for everyone. The Bartender, The Boxer and The Banker are quite different from each other and as you notice on the reviews to those books, readers love some more than others and vice versa. I personally liked the Bartender but loved the Boxer most and the Banker is somewhere in the middle between those two. Though they are all great stories!
The Banker started out really good. It was funny and so typically crazy and sneaky Lennon. I snickered and swooned at the early stages of Lennon and Jasper. The sparks flew and the characters couldn’t deny the crackling chemistry between them which made Lennon’s situation a lot harder. I’m glad though, how everything worked out for her and how she handled the situations in which she got thrown into.
Anyway, the story started to run off a bit at some point and although there were some surprises and challenges for the characters until the ending I missed the sparks and crazyness from Lennon and Jasper. Their easygoing and flirty selves were hardly noticeable anymore and although the story was still really good I missed the typical characteristics from both h and H.
The Story:
Lennon is still looking for someone to invest in her sex toy business but so far, she had no luck in that regard.
Her brother’s friend could help her out as he is known for his successful investments but there’s one tiny problem – her brother doesn’t want to give her this guy’s contact information.
So Lennon does what she does best and sneaks her way around and gets her chance at being in the close proximity of said guy.
What she doesn’t expect is the way he makes her feel around him and to lose all thoughts of business. She’s feeling off her game and can’t believe that this guy she wants to invest in her business seems to be more interested in her crazy self than anything else. No one made her feel so special before and Lennon must come to terms with the fact that this guy changes everything for her.
Thoughts:
You know, I liked Lennon’s character with her easygoing and don’t-give-a-shit attitude a lot in the previous books and also in the beginning of this one. She was a strong and independent character that fought for what she wanted. She didn’t back down from a challenge and most of all she didn’t change for anyone and stayed true to herself. So, color me surprised when the second half of the book changed in a direction where Lennon seemed so different. She wasn’t the easygoing person anymore although she still didn’t give up no matter what people said about her. I understood her difficult situation but I still missed her carefree side also relating to Jasper.
She sure had the most challenging story in this series.
I loved Jasper at first because he seemed special and perfect for Lennon though he too changed throughout the book to someone quite ordinary but still likeable.
What I loved most in this book was the thing with the names at Starbucks. This was such a lovely idea and gave the best example on how perfect Jasper fit to Lennon.
One thing I was most surprised about was how I thought that Lennon felt misunderstood from her best friends. I always thought that the girls were some of the very few that loved and understood Lennon’s crazy personality but in this book, it felt like the opposite at some point. Maybe I got the wrong impression but I felt sad for Lennon anyway.
Since Lennon’s family played a somewhat big part in this story I wished that there was more of a closure between all of them because Lennon has always been the odd one out and I felt so sorry for her that lots of people didn’t take her seriously.
As much as I’ve loved this series and its characters I feel giddy for new personalities and adventures of these authors. Bring it on! =)
I’ve loved all three stories in the Modern Love Series but Lennon and Jasper’s story is my FAVORITE of the three. This story is filled with laughter because when you have Lennon being the woman that she is how can you not laugh but we’re also seeing a beautiful romance blooming. Brady is absolutely adorable and I want to hang out with him myself. Towards the end I’m tearing from a mix of sadness and joy. I can’t believe this series is complete but it’s been a great ride and yes these are standalone stories but there’s no way you’ll not want to read them all.
What happens when the party girl who won’t commit finds her unicorn?
Lennon Hart is a loud, irreverent, NSA relationships and don’t apologize for who I am type of girl. A tattoo artist with a dream for a business venture who’s finding hard to get an investor to get it off the ground.
When she asks her banker brother for help in the way of making an introduction and he refuses, she takes matters on her own hands, but things don’t always go as planned…
Wrong place at the right time, an insane attraction to the one guy who could help her business and some seriously meddling parental units will help shape this story into the sweet, sexy and super funny ride it is.
When I was offered to review, I had the feeling this story was the one that would appeal to me the most and I was right on the money. I loved the story of Lennon and Jasper. These 2 are really the ying to the other’s yang, a match made in heaven. They can’t be more different from each other on the outside and still complement one another in more than one way. Jasper is the rock to Lennon’s self-doubt and he will definitely help her shine!
This was my favorite book of the whole series, the perfect one and chapters 7 and 20 are just EPIC!!!
If you like rom-coms and are in the market for a funny, heartfelt and very, very sexy read, look no further and pick a copy of The Banker.
*Received an ARC for which I voluntarily provided an honest review*
I loved this book! I gravitate towards stories that make me laugh out loud and this one did it! I really liked Lennon when we were first introduced to her in The Bartender (Modern Love, #1) by Piper Rayne. I was looking forward to her story the most! Loved her internal dialogue! “Jasper was totally muffin bluffin me!” I liked how Lennon appears as a brash, don’t care what anyone thinks attitude but we see her vulnerable side here and her and Jasper have crazy good chemistry! As sad as I am seeing this series ending, I am so looking forward to more from this dynamic duo! Read this book! Enough said! (less)
4.5*
I just knew Lennon’s book was going to be my favorite of the Modern Love books, and it absolutely was!
She has been my favorite of the 3 friends since The Bartender so to say I was excited for this book is an understatement. She’s quirky, eccentric, and outrageous- she owns who she is and she’s not ashamed to flaunt it. To her friends and family she may seem flighty, but she has a plan and she’s determined to succeed on her own merit- with or without their support.
And so, without further thought, she goes after what she wants…and ends up with so much more than she bargained for. Thinking of him as only a means to an end, Lennon sets her sights on venture capitalist Jasper Banks, who also happened to be her twin brother’s mentor. After her brother refuses to introduce her to Jasper she takes matters into her own hands, and let’s just say this is where the fun, and frustration, starts.
The Bartender and The Boxer both made me a little emotional at times, but nothing like what I went through with The Banker. I think it’s because I felt such a connection to Lennon. She lets you see who she wants you to see, yet there’s so much more to her than she is given credit for, more than what she presents to the world. But when she lets Jasper in, the true Lennon really shines through and she is beautiful and loving and deserving of all the happiness. This book made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me angry. All the best emotions to go through when reading a book.
Between Lennon’s family, Jasper’s mother, Tahlia and Whitney, and even Jasper at times, I don’t know who I wanted to smack first. Ok, I didn’t really want to smack the girlfriends, more like bop them upside their heads. And with Jasper I just wanted to shake some sense into him. But his mom, and her family, yeah I wanted to give them all a good throat punch.
If the Modern Love series has to come to an end, The Banker was a wonderful conclusion. This has been such a fun, sweet series. I’m going to miss these characters.
So, I just so happened to stumble across Piper Rayne during my weekend of first time authors. I LOVE the cover and the blurb, well, pretty damn funny. And HOT. Why not give it a shot?
Well, I started at the end of the series. The Banker is book #3 in the Modern Love series. Now, when I started The Banker, I had not read the first two books, but honestly, I was ok without reading them and got the gist of things pretty quick. However, as soon as I finished The Banker, I started in on The Bartender and The Boxer immediately.
Lennon Hart. OMG Lennon. I absolutely 100% have a lady crush on her! Holy hell, she is amazing! Lennon is the crazy chick in the group of girlfriends that runs a tattoo shop, is sporting those tattoos like a goddess, drives a unicorn van (say what!!!) and designs sex toys. Yep, sex toys. Lennon knows what she’s doing with those sex toys as she surely enjoys men and sex. Lennon is looking to get her business going with help of investors, one of which happens to be a friend of her brother named Jasper Banks. However, her brother won’t exactly let her get in contact with Jasper so she makes it her mission to track the man down.
Jasper Banks, well, Lennon just can’t find him anywhere. He is nowhere to found on the internet, no photos of him online, nothing. Lennon is bound and determined to find him, yet she meets the most handsome stranger in Starbucks and second guesses herself, just for a minute, with the man who just seems like he’d give her a run for her money.
Now, you know by reading the blurb on the book that Jasper and Lennon meet. From that point on, this book had me hook, line and sinker!
“Quickly, I realize that he’s the male version of me. Strike that, he’s better than me.”
Jasper Banks is Lennon’s match. The connection between the two of them was unreal. Their chemistry was absolutely steaming hot and the banter between them had me laughing my butt off! It seemed as though their relationship was way too good to be true…..and then in walked the drama.
Now, there was a plot twist that threw me for a loop! I was completely taken aback by it and NEVER saw it coming. However, I feel it made the story just that much more interesting as to how Lennon would deal with this situation.
This story is about determination, finding love, GREAT sex, relationships with lovers, a great set of girlfriends and family. It was a fantastic end to the series and a great first time read by this author for me!
