The perfect love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, strong family bonds, bikers, babies, and more! Most people wouldn’t see Jed Moon as someone to look up to. He’s been in and out of jail and has lived a less-than-stellar lifestyle. But years ago one woman saw through his nonsense, and he’s never forgotten her. Now she’s back in his life, and as a prospect for the Dark Knights motorcycle club, Jed promises to keep an eye on the sassy, sexy single mother who has never stopped lighting his fantasies on fire.
Jed and Josie’s combustible connection is stronger than ever. Having Josie and her son in his life brings out all of Jed’s protective instincts-and visions of a future he never imagined having. But when a shocking revelation knocks the insatiable lovers to their knees, it forces them to make choices that could change their lives forever.

I loved Josie and Jed!! Their story is emotional and full of love and strong family connections. Their chemistry is off the charts. Josie and Jed knew each other years ago and their reconnection is bittersweet. Both have gone through some rocky times. Josie is used to being on her own with her son and now has the family and friends she never knew she was missing. She has reunited with her siblings and her relationship with Jed “Moon” is intense. They are perfect for each other and come back together at the right time. This second chance at love is simply amazing!
Sigh, more Whiskey Men to love. This is Jed Moon’s story. Yep, he isn’t actually a Whiskey but Red and Bigg think of him as their own son so I will think of his as a Whiskey Man. Like a true Whiskey, he is strong, he is alpha, and he has the biggest heart ever. He had once met a girl and fell in love. When fate steps in and he meets this girl again he knows that he cannot let her go again.
Josie has a history that she is running from. She ran from her parents, lost her husband, and has been living in a shelter while trying to find a job, get a place to stay and keep her son safe. Jed enters her life, he brings feelings that she had kept hidden and hopes that she cannot believe would come true. I liked that Josie wasn’t the perfect person, she had struggles, she’d lived a rough life, and yet she was willing to try to live again.
In true Melissa Foster style, these two opened their hearts to each other but not easily. They pushed, they shoved, and they worked towards finding they’re happy ever after. When they finally opened their lives and hearts they did it wholly. They held nothing back and gave everything they had to each other.
Readers will find themselves once again wrapped in a warm blanket of family, acceptance, and unconditional support in this fifth installment in The Whiskeys series that was an enjoyable read from the first page to the last. With each turn of the page readers will be rooting for this hero and heroine who had an unforgettable one night-stand years ago and who’ve found their way back to each other when they need support the most. It’s a charming tale of second chances with characters who feel like family and a couple who undertake a hard-fought journey to HEA.
Jed Moon’s youth was one full of sadness, duty, and difficult choices as his father’s death left him as the man of the house. With a mother incapable of caring for her children, and a sister he did all he could to protect, Jed was left doing things that led to jail and many regrets now that he’s an adult. Becoming an honorary member of the Whiskey family changed his and his sister’s life irrevocable though and he now has the chance to be the man he wants to be. Working two jobs and being a prospect for the Dark Knights MC gives him the opportunity to leave his past behind but it also brings him into contact with the one who got away. Josie “Jojo” was a bright spot during his dark days, someone who listened and comforted him, and he’s never forgotten her. Determined not to let her get away again he becomes her protector and is now the one doing the listening as she tries to move on from her abusive past and reconnect with her siblings. It’s a slow journey for them that showed Jed’s kind heart and through his caring words and deeds he made a place for himself in her heart along with that of readers. Jed’s clearly wanting his HEA, wanting a family of his own, and that’s vividly on display in his heartwarming interactions with Josie’s son Hail. Jed easily took on a fatherly persona and his scenes with Hail endeared him to me as he was just as protective of Hail as he was of Jojo. Throughout the story Jed wore his heart on his sleeve, showing himself to be a loving man longing to prove himself, and with each turn of the page I fell a little bit more in love with him.
Josie Beckley also had a tough childhood, one of physical and mental abuse that ultimately had her siblings running away from home to leave her alone in dodging the blows. There were a few bright spots during that time though with one of them being an unforgettable night spent with a sexy and self-assured young man who made her feel like his everything, made her feel like a woman without a care in the world. The other bright spot was courtesy of a sweet young man who helped her escape her abusive home, married and protected her, while creating a charming son with her who kept her going when this young man died. His death has led to many sad twists and turns that have ended with her in a woman’s shelter. It’s a low point that she’s now trying to rise up from, but to do so she’ll have to start relying on others which is difficult for her. She’ll also have to address her sizzling connection to the boy she never forgot as he’s an endless temptation slowly working his way into her and her son’s heart. I was a bit conflicted about Josie at first as I couldn’t understand her hesitancy in wanting to reconnect with her siblings. Her fear over reuniting was palpable and frustrating. As the story progressed though, and as she became more empowered and interacted more with others, she became a heroine I could admire. Her love and protectiveness for her son was heartwarming while her awe with so many kindhearted people coming to her aid broke my heart and spoke volumes about the damage her parents did to her psyche. She was stressed over her situation often, but her scenes with Moon showed a flirty and carefree side that made for a crackling connection between the two of them as she came to rely on him more and more.
On a whole this was a story about family, those that you have by blood and those who claim you as their own. It made for a heartwarming story full of eclectic and supportive characters. With a main couple whose journey to HEA was based on second chances I was rooting for them wholeheartedly. Their interactions were sweet and sensual and slowly progressed until a surprising twist late in the story really put their connection to the test. I’m not usually a fan of children in romances but Hail was an utter delight and I enjoyed seeing the softer side of Jed that this sweet little boy brought out in him. The way to Josie’s heart was through her son and Jed was more than happy to play a fatherly role as he truly came to care for Hail. Surrounding this likable main couple was an equally appealing cast of secondary characters. From the members of the Whiskey family, to the members of the Dark Knights MC, there’s a treasure trove of unforgettable characters. For some their stories have already been told but there are plenty of others whose stories I look forward to reading…characters like Penny, Diesel, Dixie, and Quincy. Ms. Foster has crafted another heartwarming small town romance that lightly touches on the bond and protectiveness of an MC while showing a couple who make the most of their second chance at happiness. From the first page to the last this is a story full of heart and soul and I look forward to revisiting this small town and its caring denizens again soon!
4.5 STARS
Wow! I’m new to the Whiskey Family but sure plan to catch up on all their stories soon! Jed and Josie are amazing! They’ve both had lives filled with lose and tough times but have worked so hard to make their lives better. When they reconnect after many years apart the electricity is still there between them. With Jed’s patience and encouragement (as well as the whole Whiskey clan) Josie gets to know her siblings again and starts to make some of her dreams come true. What a fantastic story of 2nd chances and the strength of love and trust! I received and ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
4.5 stars!
Swooooon!! Mad About Moon is the feel good second chance romance I needed in my life. Melissa Foster gave us a book that was all heart, passion and love. I swear I had the dopiest, most lovestruck expression on my face during the entire time reading. I just loved this book.
We briefly met Sarah and Scott’s sister, Josie in Wicked Whiskey Love. After trio was separated for years, they’re finally together, rebuilding their relationship. Josie is such a strong heroine. She’s had a tough road but her determination to keep going for her little boy is inspiring. And then there’s Moon. Josie is not the only one who is mad about Moon. I am just as crazy for that sexy, alpha with the gigantic heart. *dreamy sigh* I thought Bones was magical. Jed may have taken his position. I loved the unconditional support he gave Josie and Hail. Be still my heart.
This book is seriously swoon central. If you want a book that will give you all the happy feels, then I highly recommend Josie and Jed’s story. I absolutely adored it!! I can’t wait to read the very fiesty, Dixie Whiskey’s story next.
I’ve only previously read Wicked Whiskey Love. Even though I loved it, I was a bit lost at the beginning. Going into the series on book 4, I felt like I should’ve already known all the characters. For Mad About Moon, I was familiar with the family dynamic so it was smooth ride. While Mad About Moon is technically a standalone, if you haven’t read any of the Whiskey books, I think at least reading Sarah and Bones story’s first would be helpful.
Mad About Moon is one of those books that sucks you in and prevents you from putting it down until you’ve read the entire story. I love second chance romance stories, and Jed and Josie’s story touched my heart. I felt like I was right there with them. I won’t soon forget this story. I absolutely loved it, and I highly recommend it.
Jed and Josie were two of the secondary characters in the Whiskey series that I really wanted to read about in their own stories. Imagine my excitement upon learning that they were written as a couple!
As a prospect to the Dark Knight club, Jed is just as alpha as the rest of the big, tatted members, complete with the marshmallow center. When he sees Josie, or Jojo, as he knew her years ago, he’ll do anything to help her and her son, Hail.
Josie is down on her luck, in a shelter, after a string of bad luck that began with the death of her husband. Proud and strong, she’s survived a horrible childhood, but is reluctant to reunite with her brother and sister Sarah (wife of Bones Whiskey) and Scotty.
Their relationship progresses quickly, but didn’t feel rushed, since they had that instant connection seven years ago. Jed’s relationship with Hail himself was simply adorable and made this reader, as well as Josie, swoon!
Mad About Moon is a stand-alone, but with so many secondary characters from the previous Whiskey books back again, I’m confident you’ll want to read them all! This series by Melissa Foster is definitely my favorite one!
The title of this book is very accurate, because yes, I am mad about Moon, as well as all of the Whiskey family. I love second chance romances, romances with a child, and any romance written by Melissa Foster. This book checks all three of my boxes. The Whiskey family is a motorcycle club, not a motorcycle gang. They take care of the members of their family, and their town. Imagine a group of big, strong, tattooed bikers all wearing flannel pajama pants for a pajama party for Josie’s son, and then wearing those flannel pajama pants to the hospital, when one of the wives goes into labor. This happens in this book. Jed, otherwise known as Moon, is the sweetest man. The way that he treats Josie, Josie’s son, his sister, his mother, and a young boy that eats at the bar without paying will melt your heart. Josie has had a hard life, but is such a good mother, and a really nice person, that knows how to bake some gingerbread. Her son is the sweetest little boy. This book is a heart melting, laugh out load , steamy hot, can’t put down book, with a wonderful story. I very highly recommend it.
Two people who didn’t have the best upbringing. Had a strong connection years ago. Now, their paths have crossed again. And, Jed & Josie learn that the connection and chemistry that they had back then is very much still there. The one thing that is new for Josie is that she is the mother of an adorable little boy named Hail. And a widow. She has had some setbacks since the passing of her husband but she does’t let that keep her from paving her own way & staying strong, especially for her boy. Jed is just as crazy for Josie now as he was back then and finding he is just as crazy for her son, Hail. His strong alpha male instincts kick in as these two find their way to becoming a couple and family. With the help of family & friends, they are given the guidance, trust, and unconditional love that was missing when they were growing up. True to Melissa’s style, we get to learn about what is happening in previous characters lives. I laughed, cried, sighed, and fell in love with these two. Melissa, this was another wonderful story!! Looking forward to what you have for us next.
Mad About Moon Once again Melissa tells a wonderful story of love, family and friendship. Jed (Moon)
is a great fit with all the Whiskey’s, he’s loving , caring and looks after the one’s who mean so much to him. I got so emotionally involved with Josie and Sarah as they work to put the past behind them and rebuild their sisterly relationship. Loved the peek at all the other Whiskey’s and they relationships the all still have. Loved it, great heartfelt story.
I gotta say I am in love with this series… Jed is an absolute sweetheart and I fell in love with him right from the beginning…
I love all the whiskey boys.
You will fall in love with this series too
Omg Jed and Josie took me ‘Over the Moon’ with their amazing story to find love. As always Melissa weaves a magical world that I feel in a very real way while reading her books. When I get to the last page it’s always a bummer cuz now I have to say good bye to my friends!!!
I loved reading Mad About Moon. It’s a second chance romance, it’s sexy, flirty, and full of hot alpha males and strong women. It’s a story about being part of a family whether you’re blood related or not and finding your way in life and love.
Josie and Jed (Moon) first met years ago when they were trying to escape their difficult pasts. They spent the night together then walked away but neither one has ever forgot the other. Now six years later they find themselves back in each other’s lives, the sparks are still there but will they find their way back to each other.
Although this is book 5 in The Whiskeys series Mad About Moon can be read as a complete standalone as I did. Any backstory that you need to know is told in the relevant parts but the secondary characters in this book have definitely piqued my interest so I will be going back and reading from the beginning.
Oh, how I loved this second chance love story from Melissa Foster. The Whiskey’s are one of my favorite family series (along with the Braden’s) and as soon as one hits my eReader I know I’m in for a sleepless night.
Josie, or Jojo to Moon, has just reunited with her brother and sister. Having escaped a horrific childhood, all three had been separated in order to survive. Yet on top of finally finding her siblings, she’s also reunited with Moon. The only other man she’s ever felt a connection with besides her now deceased husband.
Moon is finally turning his life around. He’s found a family with the Whiskey’s and being a prospect for the Dark Knights and so when he sees Jojo, the one girl who ever really mattered to him and finds out that she’s the long lost sister of his friend… He feels the connection immediately and pledges to watch over her and her son Hail.
I loved how protective of Josie and Hail, Moon was from the start. You felt their connection from the first looks, and how magnetic they were towards each other. Although it had been 6 years since they last spent less than 24 hours together, both knew that there was something there that they had never felt with anyone else.
A great story of love, forgiveness of self and moving into a future one is meant to have.
This book is absolutely amazing! I couldn’t put it down. Josie had love and lost it but Jeb was her first and she never thought she would see him again. Jeb fell hard for Josie their first night together. He didn’t think he would see her again but he thought of her a lot. These two were meant to be together. Jeb is so strong and has the biggest heart. The things he has gone through and how he turned out is amazing. I love how he wants to help everyone. Josie had been through hell as a child and didn’t know what her sister went through after she left Josie at the age of 13. The reconnect of the three siblings is amazing. I cried, I laughed and I loved it all! If I could give a higher review then five stars I would. Melissa Foster does it again with this fantastic book!
4.5 stars – First off, let me just take a moment to revisit the male hunkiness gracing the front cover. Built, tatted, and beautiful, he is just rugged enough — worn just around the eyes and sporting a stubbled jaw — proof that he’s already done some living, loving and learning. So, to all that he is, and the book boyfriend he most certainly has become, I say, yes please!
This is yet another soon-to-be best seller for Ms. Foster! The H and h have been assaulted by life, but refuse to be broken. They found each other once, and had one amazing night. It was so fantastic that it was never matched. Well, that is until they find each other once more and the connection, chemistry and their bodies innate knowing make anything other than a HEA an impossibility.
If this isn’t your first rodeo with Ms. Foster, within these pages you’ll find the family, friendships, community and genuine connections you’ve come to expect from this author. If this does happen to be your first foray you’ll be pleased to discover what she can accomplish when using letters to form words, and build emotions so tantalizing you can taste them, you’re in for a treat. Enjoy!
I received an ARC of this book, from the author, in exchange for a fair and honest review.
THIS BOOK!! You will not want to miss jed and Josie’s deliciously sexy yet heart-stealing romance, because THEY STOLE MY HEART!!!! OMG…I cried wayyyyyy too many times, it was just so emotional and grabbed at my heart and DID NOT LET GO! If you read only ONE romance this year, make it MAD ABOUT MOON!
Mad About Moon is a fantastic read. If you’ve read Truly, Madly Whiskey and Wicked Whiskey Love then you are a little familiar with Jed and Josie. Hold onto your ovaries and enjoy this second chance love of Jed and Josie. You may even need a little tissues with this one. You feel the sparks fly from the very beginning between Jed and Josie. I love how much Jed has grown since Truly, Madly Whiskey. He has turned into such an amazing caring man. I just love how he is with Josie and Hail. He has this amazing heart that shines. You will just swoon over how he is with his Young Knights projects. Josie you just watch her blossom as she reconnects with her family. I loved watching her grow stronger and stronger in this one. This is a book you need to read along with the entire Whiskey series. How can you not love Alpha bikers who get all mushy with kids, that are protective and do good deads. Melissa Foster did it again with this one. I can’t wait for Dixie’s turn.
I love the Whiskey series and was so excited to finally read Jed and Josie’s love story. Josie deserved all the happiness in the world. And Jed loved her again from the very first moment she walked back in to his life. A sweet, sexy, romantic story that will leave you wanting more of the Whiskey’s!

I get so darn excited when I see a new book in the Whiskeys series!
Mad about Moon is the fifth book, and it tells the story of Jed Moon and Josie Beckley. Each book can be read as a standalone romance, although I do recommend you start at the beginning with Tru Blue. I believe it will give you a better foundation to help you understand the backstories but know that it’s not required.
In this story, Jed is prospecting with the Dark Knights MC, and he volunteered to protect Josie and her son Hail. Josie is Sarah’s sister, and we were introduced to them in Bones and Sarah’s story within Wicked Whiskey Love, the fourth book in the series. Josie and Jed have a history, and even though they haven’t seen each other in years, they haven’t forgotten each other.
Mad about Love’s storyline is captivating, and I was on the edge of my seat throughout. I didn’t want to put my Kindle down and was up late reading! I completely fell for Jed, and I didn’t want the story to end!
I can’t wait for the next in the series, Taming my Whiskey, which is Dixie’s story.
