A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder. A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order. My name is Lottie Lemon and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed … people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owners impending doom.
Mayor Nash is up for reelection and I’ve been asked to furnish the sweet treats for his campaign kickoff. So when I stumble upon a corpse at the party everything predictably goes haywire. But this isn’t just any old corpse, this is a personal attack on our family. Not to mention the fact that someone seems to be stalking Everett. Something isn’t right in Honey Hollow. It seldom is. There is only one saving grace in this chaos and it’s the fact that Nell Sawyer is back. If I have anything to say about it, she’ll be back for good—and the only way to ensure that is to let the case grow cold.
Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.
Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder. more
It was so confusing to read, I had to go back and read pages. Very odd.
Lottie Lemon has a problem, too many murders to solve for a bakery shop owner and too many boyfriends….oh, and she sees dead people too. Interesting family dynamics, makes excellent baked goods.
Silly and way too many characters.
Personally didn’t care for the style. Very messy in simulating character flow. Read half of the book and have up.
Light reading, fairly amusing
I started the book but it didn’t hold my interest because I don’t like whinny women with a terrible self esteem.
So many characters and sadly all I could think while reading it is how stupid; plus it is a series not an ending.
I wanted to like this book and pushed through about 30 pages, but could not continue. It seemed like a high-school girl had written it, with its focus on who liked whom romantically.
Would not recommend this book at all, too much time spent on her sexcapades.
This book is the 10th in a series. I read the first one some time ago, and it was okay. When I began this one, I found the main character and the town much the same as in the introductory book. But I hit about 40% through and just quit reading today. The first 20% of the book spent more time with the backstory of the main character, her two love interests, and every other character (including a ghost) than with plot development. I don’t want all the characters and their life stories; in addition, the character being “in love” with two men is just stretching my ability to accept the unusual too far.
I love reading Addison’s books. ALL OF THEM!!!!
