A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder. A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order. My name is Lottie Lemon and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed … people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owners impending doom.
Mayor Nash is up for reelection and I’ve been asked to furnish the sweet treats for his campaign kickoff. So when I stumble upon a corpse at the party everything predictably goes haywire. But this isn’t just any old corpse, this is a personal attack on our family. Not to mention the fact that someone seems to be stalking Everett. Something isn’t right in Honey Hollow. It seldom is. There is only one saving grace in this chaos and it’s the fact that Nell Sawyer is back. If I have anything to say about it, she’ll be back for good—and the only way to ensure that is to let the case grow cold.
Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.
Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder. more
Too much sexual innuendo right off the bat and then a ghost shows up–both deal-breakers for me. Didn’t bother to finish it.
Funny light reading I will read her other books
Ultimately, more of the same old tropes, even though a ghost was thrown in.
These books arecute and fun to read. This one, the romance with both stepbrothers wears on reader. I prefer books that finish the story rather than “you have to read the next one to see what happens to Judge Baxter and who she ends up with.
Just never invested enough to even care to differentiate between which obnoxious man was which. I never do care for books with female leads who are so shallow they don’t even know who they are in love with. I find it annoying and insulting.
I found it to be a little silly
I didn’t make it to chapter 4. Cozy mysteries I usually enjoy, but this was, horrid. A town full of “beautiful people” who constantly have sex with each other. Not to mention that the police are so incompetant, some bimbo has to help them. Total blah!
It was okay. Too many characters for me.
crazy about the lottie lemon/ honey hollow series. you have your helpful ghosts, feline and witty somewhat outrageous characters. full of fun.
Some of the stories are predictable, but still a cute read
I lost interest, maybe if I read a bit longer it might have gotten better.
Did not like that the ending lead you to another book to find out which man the main character chose. The book is supposed to be a stand alone read therefore the novel should have had a decision based on this being a theme through the book.
Recommend this is a great light read.
Great book. Easy reading for a weekend when you finally have a day to yourself and just want to relax and turn the rest of the world off. Characters were relatable and descriptions made you feel as if you were there at times. Love the comfy mysteries, dont get caught up to much legal talk. Cant wait to get the next book to continue the story line.
Don’t like spirit books
i removed this book from kindle after the first chapter.
Many stories join to make this a fascinating read. I tried to out the killer but the author kept the secret to the end. Great book.
This is a fun read mystery. Great for summer
Didn’t care for the spirit aspect. Stilted and contrived.
I loved this book so much, I bought the other 16 in the series. lol
