A baker who sees the dead. One too many suitors. And a killer. Living in Honey Hollow can be murder. A laugh out loud standalone cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore All books in the series can be read individually but are best enjoyed in order. My name is Lottie Lemon and I see dead people. Okay, so I rarely see dead people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed … people, mostly I see furry creatures of the dearly departed variety, aka dead pets, who have come back from the other side to warn me of their previous owners impending doom.
Mayor Nash is up for reelection and I’ve been asked to furnish the sweet treats for his campaign kickoff. So when I stumble upon a corpse at the party everything predictably goes haywire. But this isn’t just any old corpse, this is a personal attack on our family. Not to mention the fact that someone seems to be stalking Everett. Something isn’t right in Honey Hollow. It seldom is. There is only one saving grace in this chaos and it’s the fact that Nell Sawyer is back. If I have anything to say about it, she’ll be back for good—and the only way to ensure that is to let the case grow cold.
Lottie Lemon has a brand new bakery to tend to, a budding romance with perhaps one too many suitors, and she has the supernatural ability to see dead pets—which are always harbingers for ominous things to come. Throw in the occasional ghost of the human variety, a string of murders, and her insatiable thirst for justice, and you’ll have more chaos than you know what to do with.
Living in the small town of Honey Hollow can be murder. more
It was a fun book to read! This is my second one in the series. Looking forward to reading more of them.
a good read, keeps you entertained and had some funny twists
I enjoyed the book, story and characters
Another great mystery.
I am loving this series! Each book gets better. It draws you into the story and you don’t want to put it down to the end. Lottie finds another dead body. Her nana’s spirit helps her with the mystery. She still has the whole Noah, Everett triangle going on. I am still team Everett! But Everett is missing!! Ugh now i will be impatiently waiting for the next book. . .
This series just gets better and better! Lottie is a baker and the owner of the best bakery in town. But on the side, she is kind of a detective of sorts. Whenever there’s a dead body, Lottie is the one to find it and also the one to solve the mystery of whodunnit! This time, it is with the help of her favorite person–dead person– Nell, who also is her biological grandmother who gifted her practically the whole Honey Hollow! They have these powers where they can communicate with the dearly departed. Neat power, huh?! Basically the spirits, be they animal or human, help Lottie solve the murder mystery! Plus, a love triangle where us readers cannot decide on who to side with! A hot detective or a sexy Judge! I’m so torn between the two!
I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment, as always!
Well written with a great plot and characters. I was absorbed from beginning to end. This series has murder, mystery, humor, and romance. In Honey Hollow Lottie, Noah and Everett are looking for clues to another murder. Also Lottie got a surprise visitor. I didn’t see the ending coming…..which is a cliffhanger. I need the next book ASAP! Addison Moore is an amazing author, I have been a fan for years now and she never disappoints! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from Booksprout.
Where to start…this book was riveting! Addison has yet to write a book that I don’t like. This series especially has romance, murder, mystery, comedy, and everything in between. Lottie, Noah, and Everett and all the other Honey Hollow friends and family help Lottie to search for clues to solve the latest murder. I will say the ending made me so sad and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series to see what the fate is for one of my favorite characters! I also now have a craving for macarons!!!
I can not believe that Addison can keep coming up with these awesome books, but she has done it yet again. I really do love to read these books and I am always so excited to read any of her books when they come out, but this series has to be my favorite. Lottie and the gang feel like family.
This was such a great read. Lottie and the gang got up to a lot of no good. The bodies always seem to follow Lottie around, this time she did not want to solve the mystery though as Nell was the ghost that came back to help her find the murder. Lottie finally gives in and starts searching for the murder and does find who the murder is, but just when she thought all was done and everything was good for a while she got more bad news….
The ending of this book is just crazy. I am holding my breath and waiting for the next book to come out. I sure do hope it comes out soon as I am waiting for it and know it will just be another hit.
You do not have to have read any of the other books in this series to read this one, but I suggest you read them from the start and you will be as hooked as I am.

Oh my goodness….this book is too good! Lottie Lemon sure has a lot going on. She’s found another body and this time it’s one of mother’s boyfriends who she’s not exactly fond of. While she didn’t really care for the man, she still has to seek justice for him. This time Nell is here to help! The murder mystery is of course a great part of the story, but there is so much more going on in this book I can’t even begin to get into it all. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. All I can say is if you’ve been following Lottie and her love triangle, you must read this book!!! I know I can’t for the next one!!!
Amazing book. I love this series and it’s full of suspense and action.
I just love this series and the little antics Lottie gets into. I love reading about her powers and they are getting stronger. There’s a cliffhanger at the end of this book. I’m hooked I need to read more!
Lottie gets a surprise visit from Nell and she fears that this time it’s going to be someone she loves dearly that falls victim to murder. Nell warns her that Everett is in danger and it puts Lottie on super defense.

Honey Hollow has it’s very own amateur detective, one who has an interesting talent for seeing dead pets. Lottie is yet again in the thick of it with another dead body and a mystery to solve. Things are getting hairy and with decisions to make, Lottie has her hands full.
I love Addison’s books, the towns and characters she brings to life within the pages. The Murder in the Mix series is phenomenal and, while it can be read in any order, I would start at the beginning so you get the fullest experience.
Well done to Mrs. Moore for another successful story. Can’t wait to read the next book, Wedding Cake Carnage!
**Spoilers**
I am truly enjoying the Murder In The Mix series. The way Lottie plays an amateur slueth and constantly finds herself in crazy situations makes me laugh. Goat yoga, the cool ‘kids’ doing the Macarena on her back, a head full of goat pellets. Hahaha, I about lost it. I can’t believe how Carlotta blurted out Lottie’s paternity. It will be interesting to see how things play out with that. And I can’t believe Everett is missing. I really like him and Lottie together. I am on pins & needles for the next book to see what happens!

There comes a time a book is so good and has an end so shocking that it leaves you speechless, and this is one of those times! Ever since finishing this book a couple days ago, I have been trying to wrap my head around the conclusion as it was one I never saw coming. This book has so many mysteries within itself it is any sleuths dream read, as it will keep you guessing until the very end. Love the characters within this town and everytime I get to read a new book, it feels like visiting old friends!
I have been a huge fan of Addison Moore’s books for years, but with this series oh mylanta! As another dead body shows up, Lottie tries to stay out of it just to keep Nell with her longer. Her heart pulled in two different directions with love for two men. Strange encounters with a woman, who seems to be watching her. A killer on the loose and a thirst, no matter how hard she tries to ignore it, for justice. How much more complicated can life get?
One thing I love about Addisons books is you forget it’s a story, the characters become family. I find myself ranging through a copious amount of emotions. The tears I shed at the end of this book, the shock, and the horror solidified me coming back for more!
These are stand alone books but I personally would say start from the beginning! So many aspects roll over to each book it’s a shame if you missed out on any of it.
Until the adventure begins again in the Wedding Cake Carnage I’ll have to sit here and wait to see if my conspiracy theory is correct pertaining to the mystery woman and the end of the book!
Honey Hollows town sleuth is at it again! This time there isnt much love loss for the victim. Turns out, Lotties mothers beau had quite a few enemies. This one isn’t going to be so easy. Especially since Lotties heart is still being torn between the two heartthrobs Noah and Everrett. At the same time, a woman shows up and starts stalking Lottie and Everrett. With drama getting turned up a notch in her own life, Lottie has to prove she can solve this case and keep the bad juju from her sisters wedding. I mean, how much more crazy could things get for Lottie? Trust me, the ending will not disappoint!
Okay. Wow. Macaron Massacre pulled out ALL of the stops this go around. Lottie is back, and this time, things get really crazy. I honestly can’t think of much to say without giving the whole story away. And I CANNOT do that to anyone reading this review. So I will just leave a couple of bullet points. And just say, hang on to your seats!! Addison is taking you for one helluva ride!!!
1- GUESS WHO’S BACK!
2- The suspect list in this book is insane, and you will never guess who did it!!
3- Two BIG BIG moments in the ending!!
Good luck putting this one down!!!
I love these books. They are entertaining and easy to read. You get hooked on the characters. Perfect for a summer read.
Another fine Lottie Lemon tale. Eccentric characters, a touch of the paranormal and some farfetched situations.
