I was happily rewarded with reading another one of the Deerbourne Inn series. I’ve read them all so far! Each is a bit different, each paints this lovely town and the people within. Across the seasons, this town has been painted nicely by all authors so far. The author of Lyrical Embrace did a great job setting up the town and its people, and the more of these books you read, the more you are like “ah ha…I know that character!” This book’s love scenes are a bit spicier than my norm (I fall in the middle realm and on the edge toward sweet) but I do enjoy that this series has a range of stories from sweet to spicy to hot…and crosses genres: mystery, paranormal, romance, and historical. A bit for everyone. In this story, I enjoyed Erica’s backstory (and the twists/action that followed as she was on the run from an abusive ex). I like that Dylan is a recovering bad boy rocker, but really, he is not a bad boy at all! And as with any romance, there is a guaranteed HEA at the end. Good job, Ms. Daulton. I look forward to reading more books from this author.
