I was born with wealth, athletic ability, and looks that could melt the panties off a nun.I had a clear path to success. Until fate dealt me a cruel blow, leaving me empty and in need of purpose. My only focus now is to become part of The Elite—a secret society in one of the most prestigious colleges in the world. But everything comes at a price, and with The Elite, you have to earn your place.… earn your place.
Lucky for me, being sinful is in my DNA.
The only obstacle to full initiation is my task: seduce the un-seducible, the forbidden, and lure her with the sins of the flesh.
Easy for a man like me…in theory.
She started as my task, but what happens when the lines between lust and love blur, and the need for power rages war with the need for her?
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak—they’re for The Elite.
This is my life, my chance, my legacy.
I am Rhett Masters.
I am Lust.

The Elite Seven – Book One
Wowza!! What an introduction to what is going to be an amaze-balls series!
Lust – one of the seven deadly sins. This story is about Rhett and Chastity and the beginnings of a new group of Elite Sevens.
Rhett is spinning out of control, his life is a catastrophe of heartache and lies, so many lies. He carries guilt for things he shouldn’t and wears it like a crown of thorns. He feels his only salvation is becoming a member of the Elite. But is that what he truly needs?
Chastity, does her name fit? Read and find out. She brings the calm to the chaos in Rhett’s life, but at what cost?
You are also introduced to the other players in this world, the other six sins. You get just a tease of what is to come from them.
This is such a fast paced, page turner! I lost sleep because I could not put this story down until it was done, and it’s making me beg for more!
Do yourself a favor, get this book and become immersed in the world of St. Augustine and the Elite Seven….you won’t be sorry!
If Lust is any indicator of what’s to come with the Elite Seven series readers should prepare for one wild, crazy and unforgettable ride! Intriguing, suspenseful, heartgripping with tons of twists and turns this book was a consuming and unputdownable read.
Rhett Masters tugged at my heartstrings fairly quickly. From the outside looking in he appeared to have it all yet looks can be so deceiving. Rhett was the embodiment of Lust yet he was also such a complex and broken young man. He needed a bit of light to guide him in the dark and that’s just what he found in Chastity. Though Chastity wasn’t the kind of girl Rhett usually went after he couldn’t help but be intrigued by her sweet yet sassy nature. I loved the push and pull between them and watching the bond develop between them.
The author not only gave me a story that held me spellbound but she also set the stage for this series. The rest of the Elite were introduced and there was just enough hints about each of them to pique my curiosity and have me lusting for more. After this fantastic introduction to the Elite Seven I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of this series!

My Review:
I struggled with this one as I could only find one likable character through most of the story, yet I was intrigued and couldn’t put my Kindle down. I despised the main character of Rhett, as he was arrogant, irresponsible, spoiled and just vile, as was his friend. I hissed at his duplicitous, contemptible, and supercilious inner musings, yet I couldn’t stop reading. Man, if this overindulged, crass, and entitled wastrel was one of the best the school had to offer I don’t want to contemplate what the rest look like… But yet, I was also perplexingly involved in this despicable story and consumed with an intrusive interest. Curses! A pox on the wily minx known as Ker Dukey for her wickedly addictive arrangements of words. Her sinister word skills were like sharp talons deeply embedding themselves into my gray matter and prickling my curiosity. I was physically unable to put my Kindle down, and in a near frenzy, I devoured this twisted tale to the very last page. It was not my fault – Ker Dukey’s word voodoo was far too strong. Resistance was futile…
Seven deadly sins, seven books, seven authors. You end up with the Elite Seven, a secret society made up of members who exemplify one of the seven deadly sins…Pride. Wrath. Lust. Sloth. Gluttony. Greed. Envy. Every four years 7 new members are initiated. Lust is Rhett’s story. Rhett is a player, he can have any girl he wants. He’s driven by lust and believes that lust lead him to a tragedy no one should face. It’s this tragedy that makes him want to become one of the Elite Seven. He quickly learns that this secret society may not be what he really wants, when he is faced with his task that will prove is worthiness. This was my first Ker Dukey book and I really enjoyed it and her style of writing. It is a page turner with all of it’s intrigue and it made really want to read the next book.
“Lust is more dangerous than love”
“This is my life, my chance, my legacy.
I am Rhett Masters.
I am Lust.”
Lust, book 1 in what is shaping up to be a new knockout series. The Elite Seven. A group of seven authors coming together to bring their captive audience a taste of the seven deadly sins. Each book is about a different sin and told by a different author. When I saw the announcement for this series I was unbelievably excited. When stories are about the seven deadly sins you know they are going to have you strapped in for one Hell of a ride into depths of depravity you cannot even imagine!
Lust by Ker Dukey was an excellent introduction to the series. The blurb was stunning, completely roped me into having to read this series, no really it gave me goosebumps!
The Elite Seven, a secret society, chosen every 4 years, are the next in line to claim all wealth and power the society has to offer. It is beyond your wildest dreams. But entry comes at a price, sacrifice must be made in order to be worthy. Rhett Masters is about to find out just how far he will go to achieve his life long goal.
Rhett Masters is Lust personified. Being the local football champ and ungodly handsome, everything came easy to him, especially the ladies. Tragedy strikes, and leaves Rhett with a gaping hole in his existence that he persists to try and fill with booze, drugs and women. But it is not working and he is drowning in guilt His only recourse, go to college and hope he is invited to join the Elite.
Rhett is used to woman falling at his feet, so when he is nearly mowed down by a small mop of blonde curls, he is the one bowled over. She is fierce and feisty, as well as innocent and bashful. To Rhett’s utter shock she does not lay down and worship at his feet. She is a challenge, an enigma he must crack and she has no idea what she has just let herself in for.
But The Elite has other ideas, and when Rhett must chose his ultimate path the consequences of his choice could mean a trail of destruction even he will not know how to fix.
Be prepared to pay the ultimate price! What would you be willing to sacrifice for The Elite?
Holy sheet man, I am in LOVE with this story and with this group of guys! Ker Dukey is one of my absolute favorite dark genre authors. Dukey’s writing is all consuming. This was one of the most unputtdownable stories I’ve read in a really long time. It’s really hard to think of a way to describe Lust so I’m really going to stick with some thoughts and feelings. You can read the synopsis and see what it’s all about.
So Rhett is a recent high school graduate beginning his first year in college. While he has a very privileged life, he’s had some recent problems that have him lashing out. Chastity is a breath of fresh air. They both find something in each other that they need at this time. Now, I’ll be honest, this is more a story about The Elite Seven and Rhett than it is about this romance. In this case the romance is the secondary thing. I was just fine with that, I could use a small break from romance and this is such a great storyline that I didn’t mind it at all!
I can’t recommend Lust more! I really loved the story. Go into next with the knowledge that Lust is pretty much the introduction to a seven book series. If definitely highlights Rhett but we get to know quite a few of the other guys as well as the set up and some background knowledge on The Elite Seven. The Elite Seven is an incredible story aspect and I love how this all continues from one book to the next. The ending of Lust was insane and I feel like a junky waiting for her next fix here. Pride is our next Sin and I can’t wait to read more about this man!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
What an EPIC beginning to The Elite Seven Series. Lust by Ker Dukey just slayed me! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it. Not sure exactly what I was expecting, but this story was NOT it. Ker Dukey grabbed me and held me hostage as she wielded her author magic and created a story that was completely captivating from beginning to end. Once I started reading, I was wishing I didn’t have a life so I could just sit and read it without ever stopping. Unfortunately, I actually had stuff that had to be done so I had to drag it out over 2 days which nearly crushed me. This is one of those stories that begs for you to turn page after page after page until you see “The End”. There was lots of emotion running throughout this story…it was sad, twisted, funny, surprising, dark and sinister at times. I needed to know more, more, more! There really was nothing I didn’t LOVE about this book. It does leave you hanging, but not in a bad way (if that’s possible). The main story of the book is resolved, but there is a bigger picture to be seen and that continues throughout the series.
There are 6 more books coming, continuing the big picture story, each in their own way, I presume. If they are all as good as Book 1, as I expect they will be, we will be some happy readers with major book hangovers when we’re done! Two thumbs up! DO-NOT-MISS-THIS-SERIES!!
Fan freakin tastic
The elite 7
7 different authors
7 sexy sins
First up is lust and omg what a way to start talk about setting the bar high …..
“Lust is a violent desire, destructive and uncontrollable. If you let the sensation take root, you become captive to it’s power, until you’re waking up in the wreckage of it’s path”
Rhett’ s only focus is becoming a member of the most notorious society there is the elite 7,whilst self medicating with alcohol and fighting the demons of his tragic past he believes he will do anything it takes to become part of the brotherhood, that is until his focus on life is altered in a way he didn’t see coming .
Mistakes are made
Hearts are broken
Fear is instilled
Welcome to the world of the elite
If this is just the beginning ,I cannot wait to see what’s to come
Bring on pride .
Holy shit! Ker Dukey sure knows how to pack a punch at the beginning of a story! And even though the end result was easy to decipher, the emotional journey to get to that point was brutal and the aftermath was devastating because as a reader, I knew that there would be no going back for the hero and that any movement forward would be plagued with guilt, grief, and self-loathing, which is exactly who and what Rhett Masters becomes after one redefining tragic event.
I definitely feel like readers are going to either love or hate Lust’s leading man, Rhett Masters, which makes sense given the sinful foundation of the series. Rhett’s definitely a fucked up manwhore who made mistakes that categorically changed his life and the lives of those closest to him, sending him into a downward spiral ever since. Even though he recognizes his destructive personality and he knows his reasons for the overindulgence in alcohol, drugs, and women, he also knows that they’re the only things that numb the pain…that keep his demons at bay…that prevent the darkness from swallowing him whole.
Despite all of Rhett’s missteps, though, he may have found a way out of his haze…out of his father’s stronghold, but he has to prove himself and let’s just say he’ll do whatever it takes to join the Elite. Because as a member of the Elite, the possibilities and opportunities are endless, and he’ll do just about anything for a chance to live life for the person who can’t do it himself.
Chastity is nothing like the girls Rhett’s lost himself in. I mean her name alone speaks to her purity and to her innocence, which, at first, made me question why Dukey would pair them up, but as Chastity and Rhett get to know one another and readers witness her snark and her backbone, it makes sense that she could be part of the next phase of his life, even if the Elite thinks otherwise.
The first book of a series, especially one where there are seven different stories written by seven different authors, needs to do a bit of world building, delivering small caveats of information for what’s to come, and because this set of books is created around the seven deadly sins, showcasing each one in grand detail, so that it’s clear to the reader just how many meanings and ideas can be derived from a word that’s seen as blasphemous and destructive, is quite a tall order, so while I did feel like the set up of the society overshadowed Rhett’s personal journey, at times, making situations occur and resolve a bit too quickly, I still really enjoyed LUST, and I’m excited to see where the rest of the authors take readers when it comes to their appointed sin!
4 Poison Apples
This is the first book of 7 in this series and Ker started it off with a bang Rhett journey to become part of this elite group and the challenge he must do in order involves Charity our leading lady these 2 characters chemistry together was hot I really enjoyed there journey. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Lust is the first book in the Elite Seven Series, one I am very much looking forward to, having to set up the entire premise of a series is no easy feat. Ker Dukey get’s us off to a great start, with likeable characters, a gripping plot and lots questions about the world Rhett is trying to immerse himself in.
There were twists and turns a plenty throughout Lust, the Elite Seven has me completely spellbound and each potential member is alluring. I am desperate to know more and after reading the ending of Lust I am chomping at the bit to read Pride!
“Love is more dangerous than lust.”
What a great series introduction! I loved everything about this book. The heartbreak, the intrigue, the suspense, the scandal! There was a lot of story to tell within these short pages. Not only did the author need to set up and create a whole new book world, but she also needed to add a love story within it’s depths.
Rhett and Chastity’s love story is definitely an enemies-to-lovers tale. It’s far from insta love, and I think this author did a great job at writing their romantic connection and chemistry. You could feel it simmering beneath the surface, just waiting to make it’s appearance.
There are still so many unanswered questions about The Elite, and I’m so excited to read the series and discover them all.
Lust (The Elite Seven #1) by Ker Dukey Rhett is a good looking, rich and plays football. The girls love him and he loves sex. He is a self centered prick. Him and his best friend are the life of any party. When an accident occurs it changes his life. He is now lost and self destruction is his path. His time is now spent drinking till he passes out. The dreams make sleeping impossible. His only plan is to seek revenge. To achieve his goal he knows he needs to get an invitation to The Elite secret society. Once in he knows he will be set for life. The society is based on the 7 deadly sins and Lust is the first book. To become part of this society is all encompassing and there is no leaving. The life in the society is not what he thought it would be once he met her. She has changed his life. A really good beginning to this series. Pride is the next book and the way Lust ends has me salivating for more. 4.5 stars for me.
What a great book to start dark series. Lust by Ker Dukey is fabulous introduction, for sure after finishing this stroy I just want to sin MORE. Author takes me for high – ride, with lots of secrects and twisted moments in the background. From the very first pages I’ve dive so deeply in stroy, that have been told us by Rhett and Chastity ‘s eyes. Maybe my night with this characters was very long and dark, but I enjoyed every moment of this amazing stroy.
What can I say more ??? Rhett seduced naughty side of my heart …. he was so sinfully delicious. I just could followed him till the end, from the start. He isn’t good boy… because tragedy in his family his soul drowning in black… his life is painfully and raw.
Chastity is as light in his life as his own is dark. She’s sweet.. I was affraid that Rhett swallow her whole soul and heart. It was good to watch how this bad boy falling deeply for the girl like Chastisty. It was amazing to watch how this girl help him with his pain and past. They both are amazing together.
Besides Rhett and Chastity author made good hints about whole series and other characters, who I hope to meet in other books. That make me very excited!! Can’twait for more !!!
Highly recomended title !
5 LUSTING STARS!! OMG…..I am lusting over this Elite Seven series, just look at these authors and book covers. What a way to start this series Lust is PHENOMENAL!! Rhett is definitely fit the description of Lust…..oh my……so HOT and PERFECTION! This story has all the feels with sexiness and suspense. It sucks you in from the first page and holds your attention until the last word. I can’t wait for the other books.
Lust, the first book in The Elite Seven series, was a roller coaster of emotions from tears in the beginning to frustration and falling in love and feeling proud of characters to wanting to scream.
I was so nervous going into Lust because I know that Ker Dukey is a really dark writer and I don’t always jive well with darker romance novels, unless it’s murder related. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed her writing and I am even more excited about this series now.
Now that’s not to say there weren’t any elements that I was errr… that’s a little weird, and if you read it I’m sure you will know exactly what I’m referring to. It was the first time I’d ever read this happening in a romance novel, but not the first time it’s brought up in my dating life, because some men are… freaks.
Anyway. I loved the relationship that Chastity and Rhett built together. I love the push and pull ans the sexual tension they had from the beginning, how Chastity wasn’t just throwing herself at Rhett and they actually formed a friendship prior to moving deeper. With the tragic start to the story for Rhett that was exactly what he needed. She helped him conquer his demons and it was twisted at times, but beautiful!
Lust was a great setup novel for the rest of the series and the ending will have you dying to know what happens in the Pride. If you’re on the fence because of darkness I think you should take a chance on this novel, you might just be pleasantly surprised.
“But to be the best, you must be ruthless.”
You see just how ruthless someone is willing to go in the start of the mysterious Elite beginning!
Rhett Masters had demons. Enough demons that haunt him to drown his sorrows with constant alcohol. He wants to join the Elite desperately so they will pay for his schooling.
Chastity Griffin is the sweet innocent girl who catches his eye. She is like his calm before the storm.
Rhett was willing to pay the price for the Elite but once in, there is no way out. Some people have limits and he will find his.
I loved how Rhett and Chastity are there for each other. It’s a strong bond that will make you envious.
Hang tight it’s only the beginning….
This is the first book in a brand new series called The Elite Seven that I’ve been dying to get my greedy little hands on since the second I found out about it’s existence and I’m officially hooked one hundred percent on this!!
I read this entire addictive story in one sitting and am completely freaking out needing the next story! What an ending! Rhett and Chastity’s story was a great introduction to the Elite world, but I need so much more damn it! I honestly don’t think seven books are even going to be enough for me! So far my personal favorite character is God and I can’t wait for his story. I love his relationship with Rhett and how he helped him keep his happy ending. God is Rhett’s ride or die and this was one of my favorite parts of this story. I really hate Rhett’s dad and was actually disappointed that he didn’t die like he should have.
My only complaint about this entire story is that it ended. I highly recommend reading this to anyone and I look forward to devouring the rest of this amazing series as it’s released.

Ker Dukey sets the groundwork for The Elite Seven. Starting with Rhett aka Lust. I love the concept and mysterious vibe surrounding The Elite.
“Keeping the society’s secret is of utmost importance , and any indiscretion will be punishable by the full force of the society.”
The beginning had my heart in a blender, I hadn’t expected such an emotional reaction, making me sympathize with Rhett, a heartbreaking connection was formed with his character. Chastity not so much, I didn’t get any feels from her. I wish this book had been longer, less insta-love, more meat. I realize this story is more about The Elite, romance took a back seat. Like I said, I was throughly enjoying all the secrets and begging for more on The Elite, that I didn’t really invest as much into the romance. Plus I was busting a gut with Rhett’s inner monologue.
“My entire high school years were built on my reputation of panty peeler, pussy realtor, heart stealer.”
Hence, Lust! I’m still not sure what the Elite Seven are in for, but I’m gonna love finding out. There’s a twisty path to answers and I want all of them!!
To some, the Elite Seven is nothing but an urban legend, but to those who know it exists, it’s a society of the most influential leaders…the best of the best. It means money and power. Young men and women aspire to be one of the seven, and Rhett is no exception.
After a terrible tragedy that he blames himself for, he’s a mess, and his senior year of high school becomes nothing but partying and sex. Once he enters college, all he can think about is being chosen as one of the Elite Seven and is determined to do whatever it takes to get there, no matter what type of initiation or tasks were involved.
Chastity is not Rhett’s type and she doesn’t want to be his type. Their hateful banter is entertaining, but when hate turns to something quite different, Rhett needs to make a choice…a choice that will change everything. Lies, angst, heartbreak, and suspense made for one helluva page turner!
This story was a complete surprise because this series has been veiled in mystery. It set the stage for the rest of the books and I can’t wait!
