I was born with wealth, athletic ability, and looks that could melt the panties off a nun.I had a clear path to success. Until fate dealt me a cruel blow, leaving me empty and in need of purpose. My only focus now is to become part of The Elite—a secret society in one of the most prestigious colleges in the world. But everything comes at a price, and with The Elite, you have to earn your place.… earn your place.
Lucky for me, being sinful is in my DNA.
The only obstacle to full initiation is my task: seduce the un-seducible, the forbidden, and lure her with the sins of the flesh.
Easy for a man like me…in theory.
She started as my task, but what happens when the lines between lust and love blur, and the need for power rages war with the need for her?
Accept your sin wisely, for the tasks given to earn your place are not for the weak—they’re for The Elite.
This is my life, my chance, my legacy.
I am Rhett Masters.
I am Lust.

Lust introduces the Elite Seven secret society and touches on its history and in this book we get to know Rhett Masters and was motivated him to want to become one of the Elite is based on loss and guilt. Ker Dukey gives us a great story and start to what should prove to be a great series. I love when authors collaborate together to give us a series but gives their own spin on the character they have to write about. I cant wait to get my hands on the next one.
Lust is the 1st book in The Elite Seven World. It is a Ker Dukey invites us into a world of lust.
Rhett Masters’ life seemed perfect on the outside. He is good looking, rich, arrogant, and cocky. Getting women is never a problem for him. Everything is going great until the death of his brother. This starts a downward spiral with drugs, sex, and alcohol. Rhett is willing to do anything to escape his father and his house. He starts attending St. Augustine College where The Elite Seven recruits. Rhett is willing to do whatever it takes to join this secret society. Once you join and pass initiation, they are rewarded with wealth and power beyond their imagination… but everything comes at a price. Is Rhett willing to pay the price?
“Lust is a force all its own. It consumes the mind and body, and causes even the most loyal to indulge in its sinful ways…”
This is a captivating and intriguing start to the series. Ker Dukey does a wonderful job setting the tone for what looks like an exciting and addicting series. It was a little slow starting out but when it picked up, I was totally hooked. I recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to see what the other books in this series have in store!!!

***4.5 Stars***
The Elite Seven is an interesting series with the fact that each book in the series is written by a different author. I freaking love this concept! Not only does it give me a chance to experience new authors but It gives you a different mindset for each characters story. Author’s can be similar but they are never the same.
Lust by Ker Dukey is the first book in The Elite Seven series! This is also the first book I have read by author Ker Dukey. Given that fact, I feel like I’ve been living under a rock! Why have I not read anything by this author yet?…
Not going to lie, Ker Dukey made me cry….within the first chapter!
SO. MANY. EMOTIONS!
It may be the fact that I was sleep deprived, or we could sum it up to the fact that this author definitely knows her way around writing an angst filled scene. Whichever you decided, the outcome is still the same, I was freaking blubbering like a baby.
Rhett Masters is a man who has been through emotional hell. After a devastating loss rocks his family, Rhett experiences a chain reaction of loss. Now the only thing on his mind is becoming a member of The Elite, a secret society club that everyone knows about but no one believes exists, and numbing the pain and guilt from the night that continuously haunts him.
Rhett’s story is so freaking emotional. I honestly had no clue what I was in for when I first started Lust, But one thing I realized within the first few chapters, This was going to be one hell of a ride.
I loved the many facets of this novel. There was intense emotional overload moments, but also there were some sexy as hell and downright dirty moments. I couldn’t get enough!
Overall, Lust by Ker Dukey was a great read. That ending though, Holy Hell, i’m dying over here! I need answers! I can’t wait to read Pride’s story!!
I kept seeing this marketed on IG. Finally I got LUST the first book in the series. It was a good get lost in your book when you need to just get away for a while book. If that makes sense. I like that it wasn’t just like every other book these days. Every one has a billionaire or a millionaire but this was different with a twist. I liked it. Give it a try. It has a tragic start, Drama filled thrilling. Enjoy.
Lust is an amazing start to the 7 book series I can’t wait to read. It is not the dark read that we are used to from Ker Dukey but it pulled me into the Elite and now I need more.
Lust laid the foundation for the secret world of the Elite, the new brotherhood and had me thinking how this new brotherhood will intertwine. I am looking forward to how the remaining 6 stories will play out. The 7 new Elite have me questioning so many things especially who really has their brother’s back and who will betray the new brotherhood.
The sin of Lust is assigned to Rhett. It seems perfect for him because lust is how he survived his guilt, his loss, and it is how he escaped his pain. He was known as Romeo to the female student body and faculty until he met Chastity who kindly pointed out he was definitely no Romeo but he was a Casanova.
I do wish the story was longer because I would have loved to have more of Rhett & Chastity’s story but I know their story wasn’t the focus of Lust
Hell yes!! I am all in! What a great introduction to an exciting series that I cannot wait to read more of. It was a short read, but explosive. There is so much to this story already and I am dying to know more about the other characters as well. I loved the banter in this one. I thought the characters had off the charts chemistry and I loved that they did not back down from eachother. This is definitely going to be one series that is going to keep me on my toes and biting my nails. I can’t wait for more!
Rhett Master is Lust needs a way to escape his demons. Becoming involved with the Elite he finds chastity. In life you have to take risks and Rhett is about to jump on the risk train to find himself. Getting help from the brotherhood is great but don’t tell anyone or there will be hell to pay.
Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Ker Dukey is an outstanding author and couldn’t be a better author to start this series. I am completely ready for the rest.
The Elite Seven series – a series about the seven deathly sins – is definitely one of those I am most looking forward to these upcoming months. And not only because of the topic alone but also because of that incredible bunch of authors contributing to this series, with Ker Dukey, queen of twists and mayhem – a lady who does not shy away from killing other author’s characters – being the first one. So color me surprised by the emotional impact this story actually had on me, making me sympathize with Rhett much more than I expected.
LUST is the introduction of The Elite, short, concise, filled to the brim with information of this elite club – and much less dark than what you might be used to by Ms. Dukey, while still being a whole lot of twisty and full of secrets. I only wished the book had been a tad bit longer, avoiding the insta-feel to it while giving the story more substance.
All in all, it’s a great kick-off to this new series, making me excited to find out more about this secret society.
This story was light yet deep. It’s one of my new favorites by this author. I cried a bunch, I smiled a bunch, and I swooned. I’d loved to read a full novel of this powerful story and charismatic couple.
Lust knows “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”, so he’s surely going to hell so why not enjoy what he can. Lucky for this tortured bad boy he has a friend like God, and some sinners on his side.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of the book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I’m not gonna lie – I struggled with this book. The prologue was very gripping and I think it carried me through the book, since I was waiting to see if Rhett would finally GROW THE EFF UP! Alas, while he showed some inklings of that happening on different occasions and perhaps for good by the end of the book, it just wasn’t enough to salvage him as a character. And there were a few WTF moments where I wanted to DNF the book. However, I did enjoy the whole secret society angle and the book ended on such a wild cliffhanger that I do want to continue with the series because I MUST know what’s going on with Pride! So… 2.5/2.75 out of 5 wine glasses?
Damn, this book! I’m speechless. This story makes you root for the bad boy. We also get to see a little bit of the elite and it makes you question the society and whether or not they are more evil than good. I am so glad the book turned out the way it did but be prepared and have Pride ready to go because once you get to the end you will not want to stop!
When this series was announced, I couldn’t wait to dive in. The intrigue, secrets, and angst… the calling card to my reader heart.
What a way to start it off, the sin of Lust and boy does Ker deliver. You can’t help but feel along with Rhett, the heartache, the anger, the lust… fuck the lust and desire between Rhett and Chastity is effin’ HAWT. For such a bookie, Chastity is every girl behind a romance novel and their late night desires.
I was hoping for a little more when it came to the complexities of the family dynamics and how it worked together, it felt a little lacking.
I will say I couldn’t get enough of the secrets that follow The Elite Seven, and can’t wait to see what the rest of the series will bring. Cause it’s going to be A-FREAKING-MAZING. If secret societies and intrigue are your thing… this will definitely be for you.
This book was crazy awesome! It was intense, intriguing, exciting, scary. It made you laugh, cry, smile, it made you yell out OH.MY.GOODNESS in both good and bad ways.
I have to start with Chastity because man I freaking love this women! She’s bookish and nerdy, shy and fairly closed off (at least to those that don’t know her well), but she also has a darker, sexier, bad girl side and I love it!! She is so strong. She doesn’t take shit and she know what she wants.
Rhett…my poor troubled bad boy. Rhett is slowly going down a spiraling, dark path after a tragic accident. But then there is a light at the end of the tunnel and her name is Chastity. Everything changes direction when Rhett meets his bookish and shy Chastity. Rhett knows he has found something, or better yet someone, worth holding onto for dear life. Someone that makes the darkness go away, even if for a short while. Someone who is worth everything life has to offer and more.
I love these two. They make me smile, laugh, want to scream at times, but they are worth it all.
I loved this book and I can’t wait for Pride!

He’s always had his eye on The Elite for a while now because it’s his ticket way out but to get in there is a price to pay. The Elite works mysteriously and an outsider standing at the door would be left to wonder if anything related to the club is accidental or incidental.
I must say this mysterious club peaked my interest and how the people in their town may or may not know of their existence. I cannot wait to learn more about the club in the upcoming books.
I did not see that plot twist coming, but I knew something big was going to happen.
I can just tell it’ll get darker and darker as each Elite member takes center stage and I can’t wait when plot lines intertwine with the others.

Rhett Masters
Lust fits him well with his history of women and charming his way into and out of things. His character is quiet admirable because he has his reasons for wanting to join The Elite and he has a strong sense of determination.
There are seven of The Elites and I still haven’t memorized their names and their assigned sins.

Ker Dukey once again graced us with an emotional and slightly dark read. As always, the author writes books that are easy to read and this was a great start to a new series.
O V E R A L L
I think this series is promising. I did get the theme for this first book but I can’t tell you what it is because it’d spoil a huge chunk of the series plot for you. So if you want to know what it is then you better pick up your copy of Lust now.
I am super eager to get my hands on Pride, not only because he’s super mysterious and that is crazy sexy, but that cliffhanger! I get the feeling that these authors are giving us no choice but to look forward for the next book if they keep ending the stories with those kinds of cliffhangers. I’m not complaining though, I love a good cliffhanger.
Lust isn’t only the first book of The Elite Seven Series, but also my first book read from the author. It was a great beginning, with enough background of the exclusive group, a good building of characters, and an epic love story.
Lust features the story of Rhett and Chastity, two different people in everything that mattered but the initiation for Rhett was what brought them together. This book has intrigue, erotism, and love, and for my big surprise, it wasn’t as dark as I thought. I was invested enough in the story to put my fear of dark romance aside and finish the book.
I highly recommend it.
This book was strangely delightful.
It’s filled with a lot of irony? And yes that question mark is intentional, I’m not sure it’s actually irony or just a strange play of events.
All I know is that I’m glad Rhett is 18 in this book, because that man is super sexy, in a take charge way. My heart broke and swelled for him, and my jaw dropped on more than one occasion.
I have a lot of questions left unanswered, that I don’t think I’ll get in the coming books, but I’m hopeful.
Lust is a wonderful way to kick off The Elite Seven and I’m so excited to continue this crazy journey!
“Lust is a force all its own. It consumes the mind and body, and causes even the most loyal to indulge in its sinful ways.”
Lust. The first of seven sins to be tested and initiated in the new group of “Elite”.
Rhett does embody his sin with mind, body and soul. Although, his mind is clouded with darkness and guilt.
His task? The hardest thing he’s ever had to do. Choose love, a thing he never deemed himself capable of having or choose or do what Is expected of his sin and become part of the elite.
“Lust is a violent desire, destructive and uncontrollable. If you let the sensation take root, you become captive to its power, until you’re waking up in the wreckage of its path.”
Whilst lust is definitely the key to this first book, the main message for me is the path to self discovery both of these characters took. For the most part at least. The series is above all still shrouded in a huge cloud of mystery.
“She holds me while I come apart. It’s not a girl who’s falling for a boy, or a boy tasked to seduce a girl he fell for. It’s a human sharing another human’s pain when they know they can’t carry it on their own.”
Knowing what we do at this stage will the following be the real deal or will it be the final moment before destruction sets in and the elite becomes the new reality?
“When I finally push into the warmth of her body, I know I’m home. She’s my new home. My everything.”
The ending is sweet and sour.
“Whose blood is that?”
Has the elite conquered all or is this about something more?
Be ready to find out and become part of the “Elite”. If you still dare.
One tiny note on my end… I wanted more from these characters. Definitely on Chastity’s end. How did she break free from her chains? Or is what we got just an illusion?
Don’t’ Judge a Book by its Cover/Author
I did not know what to expect from this book. The blurb had me very interested but I had some preconceived notions of what Ker Dukey wrote and was nervous that I might get hit with really dark themes that I might not enjoy. And that might be true of some of her books but not this one. I worried for nothing and was pleasantly and totally surprised because I loved the story. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series because I think this book sets such a strong foundation for the series. This is going to be one of my favorite reads this year. There are not a lot of words/pages but the questions it raises about society, justice, brotherhood, friendship, family, love, lust, even success I found to be interesting well beyond the word count. I also really enjoyed the friendship between God and Rhett. Even the fast friendship between the seven had me loving all the boys! Rhett is a great hero. All angst and emo and decent even if his sin is LUST.
Definitely recommend this read. And so happy that I took a chance on an author that I had been warned writes books that might cross some of my limits when it comes to the dark and twisty subject matter because this is a book and series I wouldn’t want to miss.
The entire concept of this series intrigued me from the minute I heard about it. A secret society based on the seven deadly sins? I’m all in!
Lust wasn’t what I expected, to be honest. I guess that will teach me to stop going in to books with preconceived notions. I love the way she portrayed lust, not only as a person, but as the sin itself. She showed the reader that it can be all consuming, it can cloud every aspect of your life, and that there are consequences to giving in to your desires. Two sides of the coin, if you will. Rhett represented lust perfectly. A playboy with a devil may care attitude and the looks to match. It is only when he is tempted by love that we see the real Rhett.
Chastity was one character that took me a while to warm up to, no particular reason for it either. But as the story progressed, I came to see her for what she could be, Rhett’s salvation, or his downfall. We didn’t get as much in to her back story as Rhett’s but we get enough detail that her story isn’t lacking in depth.
Lust was a fairly quick read for me but it packed a punch. Loss, heartbreak, betrayal, loyalty, redemption…this one has it all. It is the perfect set up to what I am sure is going to be one heck of a series.
~Twisted & delicious read~
