So many reasons I shouldn’t…Shall I count them? He’s my client—which should be reason enough to steer clear of Splitter,Both because of ethicsBut also the fact that he’s in legal trouble. So that’s two things right there. Three, he’s the VP of the Savage Saints, a local motorcycle club. And those are just the strikes against him. The fact that I just ended a relationship—And made a big splash in … just ended a relationship—
And made a big splash in the local news with the divorce—
Means that I should stay far, far away from relationships.
But those eyes,
That voice,
The way he makes me feel.
What’s that saying?
Forbidden fruit is the sweetest?
Let me tell you how true that is.
But when a rival gang threatens the Savage Saints,
I realize I’m caught up in a world I know nothing about.
And lust isn’t the basis of a lasting relationship.
The real question in the end is
Can I trust Splitter?
Or will I end up broken in more ways than one?

(Audio version) This is book 2 of a sexy biker romance series, The Savage Saints, and it has all the steam you’d expect. The reason I took off one star for the narrator was that she sometimes held up in the middle of a sentence and that should have been recorded again. Other that that, however, her performance was great. The story about vice president Splitter and lawyer Amber is definitely an explosive and well written one, there are just a couple of places where I missed the narration to go more deeply into the background story, the reaction from one character to what another said, etc. In those scenes I felt a bit rushed. Overall, however, this book is definitely a great read and will make you lust over one hot – and emotional in the cutest sense – biker named Splitter.
EVIL IS AS EVIL DOES
I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review
Shaun Reddings, Splitter, a Savage Saint biker, is in prison for murder and mayhem. Amber Reynolds, a high-profile lawyer, is hired to defend him. As the story progresses, Splitter admits that he is guilty of the crime, but shows that it was for the betterment of the community. Another rival club, the Devil’s Mercenaries, is the evil that is disrupting the community. Hazel write a great story on how the Saints clean up protect the town and follow a code where the Mercenaries do not.
A lawyer/client romance with some MC business mixed in makes for a fun listen. I really enjoyed listening to this book. As the second in a series you could listen to the first book before, but it can also be read as a stand-alone (although the first is really good too). Narration in this book was done really well. I am excited to see what comes next with this group.
Amber was just getting over a divorce and was asked to take on Splitter’s case. He was charged with blowing up a building and murder. While he was willing to take the hit for the Savage Saints bike group, he was hoping to get off. Sparks fly between the two. Can she get him acquitted and remain objective? Only time will tell.
This is a contemporary biker romance with steamy scenes. The characters are well constructed with strong personalities and conflicting attributes that make them more Identifiable and easy to relate to. You can not but cheer on Amber and Splitter and want them to find happiness. There are some steamy sex scenes woven expertly into the storyline. The emotional drama drives the story as the characters deal with the realities of their situation and their personal internal struggles. This is a great contemporary romance with characters rough around the edges and danger all around them.
Lust at first sight
Splitter gets taken into custody when the Sheriff arrives at their clubhouse. Apparently the government is making a move after the warehouse that the DMs occupy was bombed. Trace contacts the lawyer that the Sheriff suggests and soon Splitter is feeling more than just trepidation for the future but also an overwhelming surge of lust towards his attorney – the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, Amber
Amber is coming out of a divorce but with her Catholic upbringing she feels as though she is testing the boundaries of her faith, especially when she is faced with the sexy, tattooed and muscular biker. Temptation has never looked so good But can she do her job without risking her career and put her heart in the line once again?
Thank you to Hazel Parker and Booksprout for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review – read in Savage Saints MC Boxset.
