Hold On To Your Hearts, Dreams & Nightmares!!
This book continues where ‘Rock-A-Bye-Baby’ left off – Ali was being sent to the Wake Realm by her oldest sister Velma, to save her, her charge Prince Kovis & Wake as a whole from her Father, the King of Dreams!! The book opens with Ali, naked, covered in sand, inside the bed chamber of the Prince! He’s screaming in pain, blood pouring from his nose & as guards pour in they can only interpret her as a threat, even as she then exhibits the same symptoms!!
Ali, after being healed as best they can, is then submitted to degrading & down right disgusting treatment that’s overseen by Prince Kennan! This progresses over time, to a secret & near brutal sexual attack, by Palace guards, that Ali manages to escape from – Just!! Kovis puts a stop to further, more brutal physical torture!!
As time passes & Ali proves to Kovis who she is to him, she’s given a job & then training as she has manifested magic! Unfortunately politics come in to play & the Council try to imply she’s a part of the rebellion that has been wreaking havoc throughout their kingdom’s. Ali is in greater danger now than she’s ever been in before, in either Realm.
I was blown away by this book. I absolutely loved everything about it. Ali’s friendships were wonderful & nurturing, just what she needed after losing her siblings The relationship she’s growing with Kovis has been set up perfectly, he’s too broken, as we know from book #1, to just fall for her immediately so it’s hard work & rocky but worth the time & effort!! I really hated but then liked, along with Ali, Kennan until …..!!
This Author has created some wonderful characters, they show both flaws & growth. The world building across both books is stunning & magical The pace of this book ebbs & flows really well but when it goes into high gear, wow! This has a shocking revelation near the end that blew my mind!!
What can I say, start reading this series, you won’t regret it!!

I thought that this book was a great way to spend my day. Sometimes there are some books where it takes you the first 50 pages before you get to the good parts but not this book, I was hooked from the start. It is addictive because I didn’t want to put it down, I kept saying to myself okay the next chapter I’m going to put it away and finish the rest tomorrow but I just couldn’t do it and I ended up reading through the night. I was pleasantly surprised and Wow’d by how well written it was and how well it captured my attention. The imagery as well was spectacular.
This was a great, fast paced, very original story about the Sand Maiden. Full of twists and turns, you will NOT see the ending coming!! Lee manages to capture you right from the beginning, immersing you in a brand new, unique world. The characters are easy to fall in love with, and witty and lovely to get to know. I definitely recommend diving head first into this novel. You wont regret it!
My Thoughts – 5 out of 5 Unicorns – I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!
The cover is perfect for this new world and intriguing!
This is the first book in a new series that is considered New Adult which means you should be at least 18 to read this series due to the mature content.
Wow, this book was intense and full of drama, intrigue, treachery, magic, and more! This world is just as amazing as Andy Smithson’s world but more adult. Ali is amazing, and she must endure so much. Her strength and love are beautiful. I can’t say the royal family is my favorite, but Kovis does redeem himself in my eyes at the end!
The author is a magical story teller, and her talent amazes me. This was an emotional story that had me on a rollercoaster with Ali. Be warned that the ending leaves you wanting for book 2 immediately! I need to know what happens next.
I highly recommend to anyone who wants a magical story that has life’s messiness and makes for a wonderful tale of magical worlds and fantasy that really intrigues!

My overall rating for Lullaby is…
3 Stars!
This book was crazy unique! The creativity and thought that went into the layout of Lullaby was insane! I was super impressed with the world-building and the tiny details that made the book its own. I’m also hugely shipping Ali and Kovis, they are just adorable together! However, some of the more intimate scenes were a bit cringeworthy. The wording was awkward and unsatisfying. I found some chapters to drag and I felt uninterested during those scenes. I also thought the ending was slightly rushed. Overall, Lullaby was an enjoyable read with unique qualities but took a turn to boredom.
*** I’m volunteering to review this arc ***
