Lucky for her, he’s deadlier than the men chasing her. Unfortunately for him, protecting her means breaking a vow he holds dear. When the nights heat up and the secrets start to spill, Luke faces a brand new danger—losing the woman he loves. What’s a mad, bad, and lethal Callahan man gonna do?

At times I liked the characters, at times I didn’t. I liked the book well enough to order another one about the brothers.
I definitely loved this book and loved the evolution of the characters. I will read other books in this series. It starts off slow, but it quickly picks up.
Interesting story development. Loved the strong but real characters
10/26/2020 I loved “Luke” (nook) by Emily March. It was funny the way Maddie met Luke and how bullheaded he was regarding her dilemma. There definitely were twists and turns in the plots and murders. I could barely put down the book I was so intrigued.
I absolutely loved this book. This is an easy read with some emotional rollercoasters and lots of twists and turns. When Maddie shows up on Luke’s boat, he swears he will not get involved in whatever trouble she is in. Little did Luke know that he would fall for her and feel responsible for her. He returns to Brazos Bend, a place he swore to never return to, in order to solve the mystery as to the trouble Maddie is in and to protect her, even though he swore he wasn’t a knight in shining armor.
Couldn’t lay the books down.
I did not like most of the characters I came across in the first several chapters. Stopped reading it.
Easy romance reading.
This was a great romantic-suspense novel that I found to be realistic. It was well written, and I enjoyed the way the characters were developed. It had sex scenes that I found to be scintillating. I would definitely read this author again.
Really great read, enjoyed the characters
It was good. Easy reading. Well written. I liked it.

Loved this book could not put it down can’t wait to read more great writing you know your hooked when you can’t put book down until you’ve finished reading the book till the end
Loved it. Went looking for more Emily March and found the Eternity Springs series and Luke’s brother John.
Got about a fourth of the way in, then lost interest. Started reading another book. May try to finish it later.
Too sexually explicit.
Unrealistic with zero character development. Dialogue was very juvenile. Ended up just skipping parts of it because it was so bad. Hopefully it was one of the author’s early books in her career.
Great read.
Great story line.Enjoyed it. Can’t wait till the next book in this series
