We are back in Moonshire Bay, a place where many go for a visit, and instead, fall in love with the town, and stay. Finding a second chance in life and romance.
In this sweet clean romance our main characters are Lucy Cartwright and Brandt Holden.
Lucy, once a cutthroat lawyer, moved to Moonshire Bay to start over . A breakdown followed by a divorce and being fired from her job, send her away from the stress and to a new beginning as a yoga studio owner.
Brandt is the town’s mayor with hopes of the governor’s seat.
Brandt’s been taking yoga classes and has wanted to date her, but Lucy has always turned him down.
When they find themselves vying for the same property they come head to head. Even so, they seem to find a friendship blossoming. But as Brand continues to break his promises, though unintentionally, Lucy no longer trusts him.
Will they each go their separate ways finding new goals, or will they finally express their feelings so they can get their HEA?
I have to confess that I was taken aback on how abruptly the story ended, but still it was a nice reading for an afternoon of leisure. I also appreciated that the characters were older.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Another sweet story in the Moonshire Bay series! Wonderful characters, some of the same ones from previous books, and a fun story with plenty of drama, misunderstandings, and swoon-worthy moments. Lucy and Brandt were an adorable couple, but were both much too stubborn for their own good! I kept hoping they would just sit down and talk things out, and when they finally did In the last pages of the book, the story seemed to wrap up and end way too abruptly.for me. But at least it was a happy ending. Overall, I enjoyed it, and look forward to reading more from Ms. Sweet in the future. Lucy is a recurring character in this series and this is her book. It´s interesting to learn her story, her past and how she has used her pain to build a new life and help others. Now she also has to help herself and let bygones be bygones and start a new chapter in her life. Communication is crucial and she is not at her best as well is not at his best her plus one. The two main characters are really relatable as we often get ourselves supposing things instead of talking them over in our relationships. The friendship net that Lucy has, is not always available to us because we just do not allow it to be, so that´s one thing to think about.
This is another easy to read and entertaining book by Elle Sweet and I do recommend it!

After an episode at work cost her her job and husband, Lucy decided after coming to Moonshine Bay for a reprieve to rebuild her life there. Brandt was happy with his job as Mayor of the town and with his business. What he lacked was a strong woman by his side. When he met Lucy he was drawn to her but she always kept a distance. When she found the house she wanted for her home and business she was elated until she found out that Brandt got a hold of it before she could. He struck a deal with her to get the building but will it be too high of a price to pay considering it brings her ex into the picture?
