When Clarissa Kelly inherits an Irish castle, the only one thing standing in her way is the devilishly handsome man living there.IanThe American girl thinks she can take my castle?Wildheath is rightly mine. The old man promised it to me.Then here comes this gorgeous girl who thinks she can just land on my doorstep with her windswept hair, bat those pretty green eyes at me, and I’ll just give in.… green eyes at me, and I’ll just give in.
No matter how much she distracts me with those full, pouty lips, or how cute that dimple on her left cheek happens to be—she’s not taking away MY castle.
No. I’ll not let that lass outfox me, no matter how badly I want to press her against the wall and give her a proper welcome…
Clarissa
Right away I know Ian O’Brien is trouble.
With his stormy gaze, and hard, unforgiving scowl—the man is impossible.
For some reason he expects me to just hand over the keys to my birthright.
Yeah, that’s not happening.
Someone needs to tell this Irishman that possession is nine-tenths of the law. So I’m moving into the castle with him.
But if I’m going to lay claim to what belongs to me, I’ll have to ignore the man. Pretend not to notice those broad, powerful shoulders, and that curly black hair that begs for me to run my fingers through it.
Because it’s time to show this infuriating Irishman that he’s finally met his match.

This book was a nice surprise for me, it’s my first from this author and narrators alike, but I read the blurb and decided to give it a chance. And I am happy I did.
It was really easy to listen to, the characters are really likeable and the story flows pretty well, with no major drama or angst.
Both narrators where pretty good, I loved their voices, accents, tone and paces, they really did an excellent job. I will look forward more from them both.
**Audio Review**
Lucky Inheritance is book five in the Inherit Love series and my first from this author. I was so pleasantly surprised by just how entertained I was with this story. Clarissa inherits a castle yet the caretaker refuses to let it go. Their banter, their wit, their flaws and their determination to work together to save the castle from being demolished makes for a fun and entertaining time. The story is also charming and the characters are engaging especially Ian the caretaker. Overall a wonderfully lighthearted story with narration by Patricia Stanomasso and Sean Patrick Hopkins that kept you wanting more and eating that fairytale ending. Would definitely recommend this audiobook.
Lucky Inheritance is the fifth book of the Inherit Love Series. Ian and Clarissa’s story is sweet, fun, and heartwarming. I loved it! Patricia Santomasso and Sean Patrick Hopkins did a great job with the narration. They both have a beautiful voice, easy to understand. I love their voices together. Looking forward to listen to more books written by Mckenna James, and read by these narrators!
A sweet story that puts two people you wouldn’t think would fit together perfectly. I loved the twist that brought them together as well as the inner struggles that they had to overcome. Narration is awesome. I loved the Irish accent.
Lucky Inheritance by McKenna James is a contemporary romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Patricia Santomasso and Patrick Hopkins.
This is the first book of McKenna’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I absolutely loved Ian and Clarissa’s story.
Patricia and Sean did an amazing job on the narration. They really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their projects in the future.

Lucky Inheritance was a light, easy read and I enjoyed this marriage of convenience story, which was fun and sweet and held my interest from start to finish. I loved the main characters Ian and Clarissa, who had intense chemistry from the start and I enjoyed watching them fall in love. There were a couple of secondary characters who provided great support and balance to this couple and I must mention Ian’s sister who added a certain amount off hilarity to the story. The novel was humorous, steamy, emotional and well-written and I would highly recommend it to all lovers of marriage of convenience romance.
The audiobook version was narrated by Patricia Santomasso and Sean Patrick Hopkins. These were two new to me narrators but I enjoyed listening to them. Their voices were clear and understandable and they had great pace and timing. They did an excellent job with the narration adding the Irish accent where needed and it was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Looking for a fun, feel good romance? Look no further! McKenna James takes us on a vacation in an Irish castle! Clarissa has arrived at the castle to settle her grandfather’s estate. Though she didn’t know him well, she has good memories of the castle and is excited for her inheritance. What she doesn’t realize is she isn’t the only one who will benefit. Caretaker to her grandfather, Ian too inherits the castle. and yes, there is a stipulation! The two must marry! Will it work? Should they do it? Can they be friends, married on two continents? McKenna writes with a flirty flare, bouts of humor and steamy passion. Ian’s sister is a hoot and the visual descriptions of the country are incredible! This is a great escape with wonderful characters and a fantastic story!
The dual narration brings it all to life. Patricia Santomasso is perfect as Clarissa. She nails the accent for the Irish characters and gives us all the emotions Clarissa experiences. Sean Patrick Hopkins is new to me and I loved him! What a great Irish brogue! He is Ian!! These two are an amazing team and really enhanced the story!

LUCKY INHERITANCE” by MCKENNA JAMES is a tale of one Clarissa Kelly…whose inheritance of a Irish castle comes with an annoyingly handsome Irishman named Ian O’Brien…who somehow cannot accept that the castle is now hers. And one stubborn Irish devil named Ian who is not going to give one inch of His castle to some pesky American …no matter how pretty she is. Wildheath Castle is in Hot dispute …and unless these two can reach a settlement to their mutual liking …there may be open warfare on the heath. Will they accept each other’s claim to the castle or no!!? Read & see! Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.
This was my first time reading McKenna James and I was not disappointed. Ms. James gives us sweet characters with such chemistry. Cute story set in a beautiful castle in Ireland is a great set up for a fun read. I am definitely looking forward to read more from McKenna James.
A little something extra in the will
Lucky Inheritance by the writing duo of Mckenna James is a sweet and fun story about a young American woman who inherits the family castle, Wildheath Castle, in Ireland when her grandfather dies. There is a catch though because the old man had also promised the same castle to Ian O’Brien, the onsite handyman who has been there for years. But when the will is read there is an even bigger surprise in store for the two of them. It seems the old man has pulled a “blarney” and put a little something in the will in order to inherit Wildheath. The only way for either of them to inherit is to get married and have a child, after all that is what “fruitful marriage” meant by the crazy old man. If they don’t then a lovely charity will get the castle and both of the are SOL. So now the question is can they do it and what happens when they do?
This is a cute story with an interesting story-line and a some fun characters, including some of the supporting which were hilarious. My only issue is the length of the book as at times the story did drag on and I found myself skimming ahead. But otherwise I did enjoy the book and would recommend it to other readers.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This story is riveting! The story line is flawless and with very interesting and enjoyable ups and downs and twists and turns. A fast pace page turner that moves along at a brisk pace. Another great story that captivates the reader. This one set in an Irish setting that’s so beautifully described you feel like you’re right there in there in the Irish country side. The main characters are strong and well developed and the chemistry between them is realistic. Highly recommend!

In order to inherit her grandfather’s home in Ireland Broadway costume designer Clarissa has to marry Ian or it will be given to a charity that plans to demolish it. They get off on the wrong foot from the start, but she keeps missing her flights home which must have been sign to give a fake marriage to try. They are pressured by the charity to prove that the marriage is real adds to their insecurities about their relationship. I loved Ian’s spunky sister Lucy who works on bringing them together. I thought Clarissa’s job was cool, but her boss was too demanding. I loved the idea they had for what to do what the inherited property. This was a sexy marriage of convenience Irish romance.
This is the first book I read by this author and I enjoyed it so much. The story flows so easily and I was enthralled in the story. I love Irish stories that incorporate and describe the beautiful country and this was no exception. The chemistry between Ian and Clarissa is undeniable and the back and forth and unwillingness to go through with what they need was funny to read as well. I will be picking up more stories now by this author.

A sweet story of a fake it till its real love.
When Clarissa went to Ireland, she had no idea Ian would be there to throw a wrench in her plans. Then order for them to both get what they want, the have to fake a “fruitful marriage”. Easier said than done with both of their hangups. In the end, they figured it out and got their fairy tale ending.
Happy reading!
