Everyone Has a Hidden Talent
For Lucky O’Toole it’s murder…solving it.
Surviving in Sin City takes cunning, a pair of five-inch heels, and a wiseass attitude. Lucky has mastered them all and has a pair of legs she uses to kick butt and turn heads.
As the Chief Problem Solver for the Babylon, Las Vegas’s most over-the-top destination, mischief is in her job description.
She’s good at her job.
She’s less good at life. But who has time for a life when there’s a killer on the loose?
Light, funny, romantic mysteries providing a Vegas escape appropriate for anyone looking for a good laugh.
AN INTERVIEW WITH DEBORAH COONTS
Why did you decide to write humor?
I’m not sure I decided to add snark to the Lucky, books, specifically to Lucky’s own voice, it just happened that way. When I was a kid, my mouth always got me into trouble. Finally, I’ve found a way to harness the sarcasm for the Forces of Good—or at least in a way not to anger my grandmother. And when Lucky started talking to me, she had a strong dose of sass in her.
The Lucky O’Toole Vegas Adventure series is hard to categorize. Is that by design?
When I set out to write Wanna Get Lucky?, I knew I wanted to write a romp through Las Vegas. I had the characters and the setting but no real understanding of narrative drive. So, I threw a young woman out of a tour helicopter into the middle of the Pirate Show and let the story unfold. A bit of murder to keep the plot moving, some wisecracking and Vegas mischief to make you laugh, and some romance to keep it interesting. A bit of a mash up, but it works.

Liked this series!!
Fun entertaining stories with quirky characters and storylines That will keep surprising you.
One of the best series I have ever read. The story is refreshingly not full of sex and and dark stories. I hated to put it down. I rarely figure the whole thing much before the author lets the reader know for sure.
Love Vegas – love Lucky
Loved this book and the others that I bought, they were worth every penny I spent.
Great insight into a Casino .decor might be over the edge but would like to think any Casino would have some of those features. Great book
Feisty hero, unable to resist a challenge. Nice range of memorable characters, all tied up in the pursuit of justice (and a loving relationship). Fast moving feel-good mystery. Part of a series of Lucky stories. Great stuff.
This book kept my interest. It was entertaining and the characters were well developed. I would read others in the series.
Loved the books.
I have read this series and find these books very entertaining.
This was a great book
the Lucky series is so much fun. Each can be read alone, but in order in the series is best – terrific characters
Move over Stephanie Plum!
Really enjoyed this who done it. Didn’t get bogged down in minor details. Remained light and entertaining while keeping me turning the pages. A great read to get your mind off the daily grind. The main character, Lucky, shows you how to keep your calm when chaos abounds around you. Love her. Can’t wait to read the next one.
I love the whole series! So much fun!
Love the series.
I loved this book
Reading to put me to sleep, did not work. Too much fun in between the mystery.
I LOVE this series. It takes place in Vegas. Lucky O’Toole is the title character and man she is cool. Hot, ballsy, strong and one hell of a problem solver. I don’t want to spoil the setup, how she finds her dad. But it’s very cool. Especially since her mom is one the the best Madams in Pahrump Her whore house is famous. Check this book, series out you will be glad you did
I really like Lucky and her adventures. She works with interesting people and seems to be so busy. The books move right along. Easy to read and fast paced.
