For Lucky O’Toole it’s murder…solving it.
Surviving in Sin City takes cunning, a pair of five-inch heels, and a wiseass attitude. Lucky has mastered them all and has a pair of legs she uses to kick butt and turn heads.
As the Chief Problem Solver for the Babylon, Las Vegas’s most over-the-top destination, mischief is in her job description.
She’s good at her job.
She’s less good at life. But who has time for a life when there’s a killer on the loose?
Light, funny, romantic mysteries providing a Vegas escape appropriate for anyone looking for a good laugh.
AN INTERVIEW WITH DEBORAH COONTS
Why did you decide to write humor?
I’m not sure I decided to add snark to the Lucky, books, specifically to Lucky’s own voice, it just happened that way. When I was a kid, my mouth always got me into trouble. Finally, I’ve found a way to harness the sarcasm for the Forces of Good—or at least in a way not to anger my grandmother. And when Lucky started talking to me, she had a strong dose of sass in her.
The Lucky O’Toole Vegas Adventure series is hard to categorize. Is that by design?
When I set out to write Wanna Get Lucky?, I knew I wanted to write a romp through Las Vegas. I had the characters and the setting but no real understanding of narrative drive. So, I threw a young woman out of a tour helicopter into the middle of the Pirate Show and let the story unfold. A bit of murder to keep the plot moving, some wisecracking and Vegas mischief to make you laugh, and some romance to keep it interesting. A bit of a mash up, but it works.

Book was OK as far as the story goes. I do not like explicit graphic details, so parts of this story were uncomfortable. I lived in Vegas, although not on the strip, so it is probably quite realistic. Too bad so many have to give up the good things in life to experience what they see as “FUN”. I gave it a two-star rating for the nudity alone. I will not be reading the second book, nor purchase any additional books in this series.
This was a very enjoyable read and I like the author’s humor and characters.
I just couldn’t get into this book, it was not interesting to me.
Loved it!
loved this series wish there were more to read!
I absolutely loved all of the characters. They made me laugh and really pulled me into the story. I couldn’t put it down.
I thought it was a quick read, and I loved the characters.
I really enjoyed reading these two books. I love Lucky, she is great. She is one busy lady who handles they things thrown at her like a champ. Some of the points in the book I actually laugh out loud. So comical.
Great new twist with a snarky female working in Las Vegas and running into unique mirder situations. Entertaining and funny
Great read for a weekend when you want to stay in and enjoy the quiet house
Interestingly written and easy to read. If you love the way Janet Evanovich writes you will also love Deborah Coonts’ writing. Las Vegas is very identifiable and the plots are great.
Having lived in Law Vegas, I enjoyed reading about familiar places.
This book series is AWESOME. Love ALL the characters. Lucky she’s one luck bit…..
Great books I’m working my way thru them when I can afford to buy them keep them coming
I think I will read more of this author, and especially the Lucky books…

You will be drawn in by the first page, love the characters and not be able to put these the books down. Don’t miss them!
Easy read. Very enjoyable
I appreciated the clever use of puns and double entendre. I found Lucky more interesting and clever than Stefanie Plum.
Loved this book and the next 3 that I bought!
