Beautiful story, life is too short, go for it.
I really liked this book a lot however, the sex scenes are to explicit….don’t need it!!!!
Enjoy this author’s book’s.
loved it
A struggle between superstition and love makes for a great read!
One of my favorite authors and once again she delivers. Sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for more.
Too many sex scenes in n place of a good plot.
I usually love her books, but i couldn’t get into this one. I stopped reading it.
The curse of the Corwin males gets debunked in this story by a writer Gabrielle Donovan. Entertaining plot and characters.
Not a complete story.
Not up to author’s usual standards. I was disappointed.
This was a really cute story. I enjoyed reading it. Big fan of this author
Derek and the rest of his male relatives have very egocentric twisted views of reality that the Perkins family have twisted to their advantage for generations. High school love and curse debunking author has her work cut out for her in breaking the hold on her first love. However, why would you let her go to ladies by herself? Why not question Sean’s motives? See if you can find the places where I shuddered and thought it needed a fix.
In the beginning I wasn’t a fan of any of the characters except eleven year old Holly and Fred the dog and the story took a bit to get into but, once it did I really enjoyed it. The intrigue of a family curse, sinister warnings, blackmail and villainous mayor all play an important role in Derek and Gabby relationship.
Enjoyed the story. May have been a bit too long. Some stubborn minded characters.
The Corwin Curse is doing its best to get to the men in the Corwin Family but one woman is trying to debunk it head on. Gabrielle is an author and a resident of the small town where they believe the Corwin Curse is a real thing. She is there to disprove the curse and get back the person she lost because of it. Derek believes the curse is alive and well with a divorce and financial ruin under his belt. Along with Gabrielle and his daughter there are two ladies in his life trying to get him to see the happiness in love. This book is sweet romance with a touch of suspense and betrayal. It’s about second chances and how willing you are to fight for it. You go through the whole book hoping Derek will finally take a risk and go after what he wants.
Really good read. I was a little skeptical at first reading about curses and such, but the at the heart this book is about letting go of your fears and finding happiness. The mystery angle was refreshing. I liked trying to guess “who done it”.
Well written and a wonderful plot but not holding my attention. I don’t feel vested in these characters. Probably just me so please, read for yourself.
I love Carly’s books and I had such a hard time reading this book. It was a good read just not a favorite of mine. The storyline just couldn’t hold my interest but I enjoyed the characters. Derek was a hot, sexy, stubborn man and Gabrielle was a fiesty, independent sexy woman who had to battle for what they wanted….each other.
Loved it
