This book has what I consider an abrupt ending. In other words, it takes you to the point where you know what will happen next and ends there. I much prefer an epilog that draws a good picture of what I consider the real ending.
Other than that, I found this book quite enjoyable.
My only problem is I find it hard to believe that a woman can impersonate a man for so long and no one seems to guess she’s a woman.
The author kept my interest throughout the story. Would read it again.
very wordy
A great read with out sex.
Was a great plot. Good read.
Very pleasant read.
Too unbeleivable and found to be almost rambling
It was a bit predictable but still a cute story.
Quite good read only couple hunderd pages
Easy read just ok
A wonderful look at women’s rights (lack of) centuries ago.
I really enjoyed reading this book because the heroine was a very modern and likable person.
Set in the 1800s, England, Elizabeth, or Bet, must escape a forced marriage and runs away with William, her best friend. She tries to elude capture by posing in London Society as a man (suspend your disbelief – greatly). It’s cute and charming.
I loved the characters in this book. I would read more books by this author.
