OMG Meghan March. You have left me with so many questions at the end of this book. Kudos to you for bringing this story to life and stringing us along. So who is behind all of the mishaps? Are Forge’s suspicions correct?
On top of all of the mayhem going on, Indy and Forge are trying to figure out where they stand with each other. Both are in love with each other but are afraid to admit it and give up all sense of control.
Bring on Heart of the Devil. I can’t wait to read the conclusion and get all of my answers.
What an amazing sequel! Luck of the Devil is everything you love and need from Meghan March! An amazing continuation of Jericho and Indy’s story! FIVE HUGE STARS!!
AAHHH! Jericho Forge, you make all the fantasies come true! Isn’t that was Romance books are supposed to do? But really, this trilogy is just as amazing as any other book that Meghan March as written, maybe better. No, definitely better!
Jericho and Indy are such a great couple, it may take them forever to actually admit that they really do like/love each other, but I’m patient, I can wait until book three. But I have to digest all of the emotions that book two has shot at me!
BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO! LOVE this Meghan!!
There is just something about a Meghan March read that I have come to love and hate, lol. I always get completely lost in her stories, her characters are so vibrant and consuming, her world building while unrealistic for the average joe/jane, comes across as completely believable and makes you feel as though you are part of the action. What is my hate part of the relationship? The cliff-hanger. The one thing that I know without a doubt will be there, unless it is the final book, her trade-mark endings. I love everything except the one thing I always know to expect!
As is the case with a lot of Meghan’s series in progress books I can’t talk about too much because there are so many little things that happen that change and advance the story that would be considered spoilers. What I can say is that if you haven’t already fallen in love with this couple you will soon. We’re getting into the part of the story where the true character of Jehrico and India is being revealed. Jericho isn’t just some jerk billionaire, he has a past and fears that haunt him. India isn’t just a fearful girl rushing from one thing to another just trying to survive. In fact we really start to see just how strong of a heroine she is. We’ve always known she will do what it takes but now we see that she can truly give as good as she gets.
This is a treat series to get lost in. Buy the books as they come out but if you don’t like cliff hangers, hold on to them until you get all of them. You totally won’t regret these books, they are so full of action, twists and turns, and S.T.E.A.M.Y romance you can’t help but love them, but yah…those cliff-hangers, hahaha!
Luck of the Devil picks up right where Deal with the Devil left us gasping for breath. Wondering just what was going to happen with Indy and Jericho. And Bastien. What’s his deal, right?
Well, gird your loins because things move fast and furious through Luck of the Devil and all is not as it appears.
Indy is still trying to figure out Jericho. Figure out his angle. Figure out what’s real and what’s not. Especially when it comes to her feelings and her heart. She’s used to figuring out the odds. Figuring out her competition. Knowing what makes them tick. Knowing their weaknesses and their strengths. Their tells. But Jericho is an enigma. One who’s tough to read. Unless he purposely drops down his guard to let someone see the real man deep inside.
And Indy’s trying to figure out if she wants to be one of those people. There’s so much going on between Indy and Jericho and their emotions ping pong—trust, distrust, happiness, sadness, laughter, anger. But there’s also hope.
I am fully caught up in the web that’s been woven in this fantastic trilogy. I want to know what happens next in their romance and in their actions and in their business. It’s mind bending. It’s fast and furious. It’s sexy as all heck And I cannot wait for more. Once again, I’m waiting with bated breath for what promises to be an epic conclusion to this trilogy in Heart of the Devil.
This book picks up where Deal with the Devil ends. This s the second book in the trilogy. Boy was this a good one. The more I get to know Jericho the more I like him. Learning some of his past puts a lot of things in perspective. We see a different side to Jericho when it comes to Indy. To me she brings out the best in him which shocks Jericho because he never knew he had it in him The suspense and action in this one kept me on the edge of my seat. I was yelling no at the end of this one. I can’t wait for the conclusion to this trilogy because based off the previous two books it’s going to be good.

~REVIEW~
The quick and dirty: What was supposed to be a marriage of convenience is turning into something entirely different. Secrets are revealed, epiphanies are had and just when you think that things are settling and their luck is finally turning, someone important disappears.
I think India and Jericho might be my new favorite Meghan March couple. I’ve loved all her couples over the years but these two take it to the next level. Jericho and all his alpha dominant, savage pirate-god, kraken-wielding goodness and India and her blonde bombshell, bad-ass, boss-bitch fabulousness. I’m utterly and totally smitten with the two of them! Watching them fall in love in this book had me swooning. And talk about the drama!! I cannot WAIT to see how this series ends. If this book is any indication, the next one is going to be even more explosive!
“I’m here, and I’m strong enough to carry every burden weighing you down. If you’d just fucking trust me, you’d know that I’ve got you.”
Man, I need a drink. No, I NEED a STRONG drink after reading Luck of the Devil.Meghan March, you continue to marvel. You continue to upend and explode my life. Your stories breath fire. Your stories entice. Your stories tell a shade of gray but full of colours and life. I am truly in awe of you at the moment. I seriously want to camp outside your house. The carefully crafted plot. The intricately beautiful characters. Meghan March fills your world with exciting and smashing stories that make you addicted and high.
With the masterful and brilliantly laid out writing, Luck of the Devil is the continuation of the dark and decadent world of Jericho Forge and his leading lady love, India Baptiste. Luck of the Devil explores a rich and inviting story of danger, lust, love, revenge and secrets. A fast charging and illicit story of epic proportions. A deeply connected story with intensity and heart tilting vibes that will make you crazy. Meghan March takes you down on a rabbit hole so deep and dark but so tantalizing and mysterious. You will be holding for dear life. Luck of the Devil is not for the faint hearted but if you want to take a crazy and full on ride, this is the book for you.
Jericho Forge has taken my heart, and soul. He has ingrained himself on my mind and I am left swooning and out of breath. This brooding and dominant billionaire truly entranced me. Together with the sassy, confident and strong, India, they are truly one of my favourite Meghan Match couple. With their spicy and passionate chemistry, they are definitely on number 1.
Seriously. I am angry over the ending. I am now so anxious. If you are new to Meghan March’s book, I recommend you read this series. It is truly the best guilty pleasure you could ever ask for.
Be still my heart Jericho Forge
Jericho is my absolute favorite character Meghan March has written thus far. He is the epitome of the bad boy shipping tycoon who follows no rules, but his own.
In book 2, he really reveals his feelings for Indy to the readers. This is refreshing that in he doesn’t make the same mistakes some of his friends have when dealing with there women.
Indy made me fall for her even more in this book 2 and she really did lean to trust her devil.
As with all Meghan’s books, this one leaves you with a cliffhanger that will have you screaming. I can’t wait for the conclusion to this trilogy! I know Meghan will give us more than we could even imagine.
5 stars!!! OMG! What can I say about Luck of the Devil besides you got to read this series! Start with Deal with the Devil you won’t go wrong. The author draws you in and keeps you enthralled throughout. Jericho and India are an awesome pair in this story. I couldn’t put this one down once I started! The suspense is sooooo killing me at every end, book 1 had me on the edge at the end and now book 2 has me leaving over the edge. A must read! One of my favorite set of characters.
***ARC provided in return for honest review, read for Sweet and Spicy Reads***
If you are following my reviews, you know that I loved the first book in the Forge Trilogy, Deal With The Devil. Well, it is not a surprise that I was even more excited about the release of the second book of the series after the cliffie in the first. And ohhh, did it deliver. In some ways, the second book was even better that the first. It was still fast paced, filled with danger lurking around every corner. But there was also romance and super sexy scenes that definitely made me swoon.
I had the chance to get my hands on the audio book for Luck of the Devil and I have to say, I think that was one of the reasons I loved it so much. It was just magical to have Joe Arden and Erin Mallon recreate this incredible story. But don’t get me wrong, even if you decide to read the book and not listen to it, I am sure you will still love every second of it. And to be honest, I was switching between the audio and e-book depending on what I had to do at the time 😀
One of the things I most enjoyed about the second book is getting to know Jericho and India better. It was intriguing seeing a different side of each one of them as well as seeing how the relationship between them develops and changes. Of course, there are quite a few bumps on the road that threaten to pull them apart but in the end, the connection between them proves to be stronger. That doesn’t mean that they’ve found their HEA. There are still threads lurking in the darkness and enemies plotting their demise.
So, be prepared for a huge cliffie at the end of this book. Even bigger than the one in the first. One that will leave you reeling and craving to find out what will happen next. I honestly can’t wait to get my hands on Heart of the Devil 😀
So, in a few words, this book is a must read. Whether you want to get your hands on the audio, e-book or paperback version, I am sure you will love every second of it. But keep in mind that this is not a standalone and the Deal With the Devil needs to be read first. There is also quite the cliffie in the end of the book. So be prepared 😉 As for me, I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. I hope it comes sooner than later 😀
I voluntarily listened and reviewed an advanced audio copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
After reading Luck of the Devil, I can wholeheartedly say that I am just as ‘dick-struck’ by Jericho Forge as India is, but my obsession with Jericho has more to do with the man he is becoming due to India’s influence and the connection they share than what he and his Kraken can accomplish between the sheets;)
Book 1, in my opinion, focused on India’s willingness to do whatever it took to save her sister, even if that meant making a deal with the devil, but Book 2 is all about Jericho Forge, and Meghan March does a great job of detailing all the ways that his past has shaped his present and making it clear why his life is as regimented and driven by wealth and power as much as it is. Forge is a self-made man – someone who has fought for everything that he has obtained, but somewhere along the way, he forgot his mentor’s most important lesson, so it’s a good thing that India is now by his side to show him what he’s missing out on and remind him that there are some things that money can’t buy.
Even though India makes Jericho feel off-kilter, what she also does is open his eyes to things that he never considered as a part of his life, and while she has every right to distrust him and to question his newfound demeanor, given his reasons for marrying her in the first place, through his first person perspective, readers are aware of everything that Jericho truly feels for his wife and how much of a game changer she is.
I love that March brings a few of her worlds together when Creighton and Holly spend time with India and Jericho, and I absolutely adored the honest and open advice that Creighton gives to Jericho when he needs it the most. Creighton’s insights provide him with a clear perspective on what should matter and in what order, and without that knowledge, I feel like India and Jericho’s relationship would have been over before it ever really started to be real.
March leaves readers with quite the suspenseful ending to book two, and while I’m eager to get my hands on Heart of the Devil, the build-up to the finale is everything it needs to be due to March’s ability to shake things up and craft unexpected plot twists that will surely shake up characters’ lives as well as readers’ expectations.
4.5 Poison Apples
REVIEW:
WOW! What an explosive follow-up to Deal with the Devil. I seriously was so wrapped up in this story that when the last page was turned on my kindle, I kept swiping for more!!!!!!! Damn Meghan March, You rock.
It’s no secret that I have a major lady crush on Meghan March. I’ve been reading her books for several years now and she’s a go-to author of mine. Luck of the devil has been on my most anticipated list since the moment I finished Deal with the Devil. I won’t lie and say I didn’t expect the cliffhanger, because Meghan is the queen of cliffies for a reason. And just as I expected this book to end in a cliffhanger, and while I often joke about wanting to throw my kindle when I read cliffhangers, I didn’t expect to actually be that girl that did so! Although, I am now guilty of that sin… even with the sure expectation that Meghan’s reign would continue. I was spectacularly unprepared for this one and Meghan left me hanging in a way that means March and the final installment of this trilogy cannot get her soon enough!!!
Just as with any other author, you have stories that you enjoy more then others…even if they are all five star reads. Meghan March always writes five star reads for me. Yet, the Forge Trilogy is my favorite trilogy by Meghan so far. If you’ve picked up Luck of the Devil, put it aside as you must read the books in order—so start with Deal with the Devil. Two books into the trilogy and it is undeniable: I’m totally obsessed with this story and Jericho Forge is my favorite Meghan hero! Maybe its because he’s an asshole, maybe it’s because he’s part pirate… and maybe it’s all the dirty talking and bedroom skills but regardless, Jericho checks all my boxes! Luck of the Devil ups the stakes on Indie and Jericho’s romance. From reading the first book, the enemies-to-lovers dynamic has shifted as the pair continue to get to know each other. And as they fall for one another, I can’t help but fall in-love with them again. Meghan writes badass heroes who fall hard for their ladies and that’s what we are seeing in Luck of the Devil. Indie and Jericho’s chemistry is off the charts hawt and the banter back in forth is its own version of foreplay. Speaking of… Make sure your batteries are charged or your spouse is on standby because this book is seXXXy!!!! OMG, like heatstroke hot! But, I digress. Back to the characters… I have such a girl crush right now on the ballsy heroine Indie. Both Jericho and Indie are showing a beautiful amount of character growth and I can’t wait to see what the final installment in the trilogy brings.
I always wonder how Meghan March (and others of like her) write such complex storylines which span multiple books and are so spectacularly entertaining without losing their audience. I myself would be completely daunted by such a task. Yet, Meghan March delivers these books regularly and with astounding superiority. The woman deserves serious kudos, that’s for sure. Also, while ‘drama’ is often the name of the game in romance, and Meghan March has provided plenty of that in the past, there is something about the Forge Trilogy that is just more… It’s truly been my privilege to read these books and leave reviews. While I have my complaints about being a blogger, knowing that I get to read a book from Meghan March early? Well, that will ‘never’ be one of them!!! Make sure you pick up Deal with the Devil and Luck of the Devil. Get these books read before the final book in the series—Heart of the Devil—is released mid-March. You’ll be thanking those of us that have been raving about the Forge Trilogy!
QUOTES:
…“I can’t call you Indy because we’re not friends.”
…“True… Guess your options are wife, prize, the pawn, ace in the hole… Does it really matter? Pretty soon, I won’t be anything to you.”
“We have covered this ground before, and I was being completely honest- you are everything I need.”
…As soon as this is over, she’ll be determined to forget me and everything that happened between us, and I have a feeling I’ll be doing the opposite. I’ll hold on to every memory, jacking myself into oblivion as I try to forget this woman.
…It’s on the tip of my tongue to promise that I’ll never hurt her, but that would be a lie. The omissions I’ve already made will shred any trust she could ever place in me, destroy any feelings for me I can’t help but wish she had.
Seductive voices will put listeners into a trance as the second installment of this action-packed trilogy comes alive.
Indy is a force to be reckoned with as she navigates the new world that she has suddenly been thrust into following the events from her run in with the elusive billionaire, Forge.
Faced with so many new and unexpected truths, causing many unfamiliar emotions; we see the strong and independent woman transform before our eyes into an even more opposing force. Mallon, lending her voice to Indy’s character makes her multidimensional depth only grow exponentially as the story continues to evolve in a world so rich that I found myself never wanting to leave.
Arden’s alluring voice brings Forge’s commanding presence beyond the pages of the story and will make you feel as though you are in the room with this elusive character yourself.
This installment ends with an unexpected and explosive cliffhanger that will leave you only wanting for more from this lush world. I for one cannot imagine how the next installment will put all of the unresolved issues to bed and I cannot wait to find out!
As Always, Happy Reading!
“5/5 Beaming Brains!” – Lit-Up My Mind
Can I just say OMG!! What just happened??? This book takes you on so many highs and some really intense moments that make your jaw drop and leave you begging for more! The pull between India and Jericho is so much stronger in this second installment. While things come to light, things are discussed and it leaves me wondering so much more! I adore India’s character. She is a strong but a delicate leading lady but she develops so much in this part of the story. She gives everyone a run for their money regardless of what is happening around them. She doesn’t back down. Especially when it comes to getting answers to her burning questions. Then you have Jericho who, for all intents and purposes, suppose to be using India. But that all falls the wayside as the emotions bubble to the surface and finds himself in a totally new position.
Once thing I can say, is this is one brilliant concept that keeps you on your toes. The ending of this one has you clamoring for more and begging for that third and final part! I know I am dying to find out what happens next.
This book picks right up where the first left off. Luck of the Devil made me fall in love with Jericho Forge just a little more. We get more of Forge’s past in this book and my heart absolutely breaks for the lost little boy. India is by the present day Forge showing moral support but the mystery surrounding India is being solved but Indy doesn’t want to hear it. The plot thickens and there are so many twists and turns it was fun to keep up. Forge and Indy’s chemistry is smoking but that was never their problem. Will Jericho find away to put Indy first and make her the center of his world? I can’t wait for the third installment of this trilogy!!
5 MIND-BLOWING STARS!!
STORY
OMG, Luck of the Devil is totally spellbinding and addictive.
A phenomenal romatic suspense with awesome characters that’ll keep you guessing and engaged.
This series will grab you from the very first page, pull you into their world, possesses you and owned you completely, and you’re going to love every minute of it. I was hooked right from the beginning, and unable to let go until I finished listening to this extraordinary story.
Absolutely loving everything about this amazing trilogy; the twists, the suspense, the steamy romance, and of course all elements are perfectly balanced. This is a very layered, well thought-out story that’s perfectly paced, and where even the secondary characters are memorable.
The romance in this audiobook is completely swoon-worthy, the suspense is perfectly done, and the perfomance a badass one.
PERFORMANCE
The narrators are just brilliant.
Joe Arden and Erin Mallon’s excellent performance snags you and won’t let go.
What I enjoy most about this fantastic audiobook is the palpable connection and chemistry between Jericho & India. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon have the dramatic skill and interpretive talent to create a mind-blowing experience wholly distinct from reading, by bringing India and Jericho’s story wonderfully to life, and masterfully evoking all your emotions.
I’ll be counting the days until Heart of the Devil, and if you haven’t started the Forge Trilogy by now, maybe you should.
This one is a must-listen.
Sexy, off the charts chemistry and a storyline that drags you in deep. Indy and Jericho need to figure out how to balance each other! This book delivered on everything I could possibly want. After reading the first book I would have thought it impossible for this book to outshine the first but Ms. March delivered across the board! My wait for Book 3 starts now. I am incredibly thankful that I was able to read these books first before their release. Bring on book 3!
And here I thought this trilogy couldn’t get any better?!?! I was so wrong then again I’m not surprised because Meghan March is the Queen of angst and unexpected twists in her trilogies!! Wtf!!!! This book just like book 1 sucks you in but omg this one was wayyyyyy better than book 1. I can’t wrap my head around what happened to Forge and what is going to happen with Indy?!?! These two are just wow.
The ups and downs, the twists, the lies, the truth this book is everything and I seriously don’t know how the ending will top this with my heart in tact, lol. Forge is just wow and Indy is just omg. I don’t know what I expected but I can’t wait for the conclusion. It’s going to be thru the roof!!!!
Luck of the Devil is the second book in Meghan March’s latest series, the Forge Trilogy. The surprise ending in book one left me eagerly awaiting book two and wondering what next March had in store for her readers. I had no doubts she would deliver, but I never expected the turn the story took. Now I am left waiting breathlessly for the conclusion. The month of March cannot come soon enough.
Luck of the Devil, picked from where the first book ended. The dark tones in book one was not present in this installment, but the thrills, steam and suspenseful moments were present.
Secrets about Indy and Jericho’s past came to light. Secrets that places both in harm’s way. I learnt of Jericho’s plans for Indy. His plans however were on the verge of backfiring as feelings he never expected emerged.
Indy and Jericho are my favorite power couple. Jericho learns that she is no wallflower. Everything he dishes out she reciprocates. Indy is slowly learning who is the real Jericho Forge. He reveals a side to her that no one has the privilege of seeing. They are perfect for each other.
I became completely engrossed with the story. I had a difficult time putting it down despite my not being 100% healthy. I waited with bated breath as I knew danger was imminent. What I did not know was the angle if would take.
Conclusion/Recommendation
Luck of the Devil is a mind blowing and heart stopping read. The ending will shock you to the core and leave hankering for more of Indy and Jericho. I am here on pins and needles waiting for the Heart of the Devil’s release.
