Oh man Jericho and Indy’s story keeps increasing in intensity and I can not wait to find out what happens next. This book picks up right where the first book left off and it is a race against time to discover what happened and who did it. But nothing stops Jericho Forge when he is on a mission. I love these characters and how even though their marriage is currently filled with distrust, animosity and regret; they are still ablaze to remain good for each other.
This high intensity, fast paced book is easy to get hooked on and should be on your must read list now! Make sure to grab the first book because they do have to be read in order but I loved every minute of it!
Jericho Forge! I just can’t even!!!! This is the second in the Forge trilogy and you just fall more in love with Jericho. He is the alpha male, anti-hero, pirate who inspires more fantasy than any movie star ever! And Indy!!!!! The way Meghan March creates her strong female leads continues as we see the growth of Indy’s character and the strength of her love for her family and Jericho. No spoilers but the Heart of the Devil just can’t come soon enough!
Oh, man!! Talk about a thrilling ride!! I don’t know about you guys, but ever since I finished Deal with the Devil, I have been dying and I mean dying to know what happens next and let me tell you, Luck of the Devil does not disappoint!
Luck of the Devil picks up right where the last book left off and leaves no stone unturned. Questions will be answered and loyalties will be tested. The passion between Forge and India burns brighter than ever. I loved all the ups and downs. The building of trust and the walls breaking down. I loved those moments of where I thought everything was looking on the up and up and then getting my mind totally blown. The pieces of the puzzle are slowly coming together with one delicious twist after another. All leaving my mind scrambling to try to figure out what exactly is going on. I was on pins and needles, not able to turn the pages fast enough and loving every single second.
Luck of the Devil is a fabulous read from beginning to end. It’s filled with passion, lust, action and lots of exciting twists. For every answer, I’m left with a million more questions and I for one, can not wait to get all the answers. Once again, Meghan March has given me a fantastic read that has left me begging and pleading for more. I can not wait to see what this author has in store for us next in Heart of the Devil. I can only assume that we are in for another crazy and thrilling treat. In the mean time, all I can say is sit back and enjoy the latest installment in The Forge Trilogy. I hope you’ll enjoy every second as much as I did…..
This story gave us the answers to the ending of Deal with the Devil. I really liked how Meghan shows Jericho’s love for Indy. There are a lot of twists and turns and what I thought about one character changed. The story keeps you on your toes and you don’t know what is going to happen next or who is the bad guy. Some parts were slower but the build up of the story evened that out. I love how Jericho and Indy finally can just act like themselves around each other, I can’t wait for the conclusion.

Whew!! Ugh. I was so excited to get more Jericho and Indy. Meghan always writes strong female characters, but Indy takes the cake. I LOVE how they’ve both met their match in each other. Book 2 was filled with the same chemistry, passion, and intrigue as the first book. Can’t wait to see how their story ends!!
Oh my. That’s just…so…NOT FAIR!!! GAH!!! Cliffhangers in general are evil, but the one at the end of Luck of the Devil is a completely special brand of evilness. I mean, COME ON! My mouth was hanging open from the shock of it all, and now the consolation I have is the fact that February has fewer days than the rest of the other months so the wait is a wee bit shorter till March 12th for the release of the third and final Forge novel. But still! Waiting is torturous, not just because patience is a virtue that I so do not have, but because this series–THIS SERIES!!!–keeps your on your proverbial toes and on the very edge of your seat, both in terms of the romance AND the suspense! Meghan March has already shown time and again that she’s more than adept at writing romantic suspense, and the fact that she’s able to push herself astounds me. My expectations are undeniably high for book three, but I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t just meet those expectations but exceeds them. March knows how to make the wait worthwhile for her readers. Five-plus stars for Luck of the Devil!
This second book in the trilogy I like so much better as we truly get to see Indy and Jericho’s relationship start to form. I love how Jericho has decided that he can’t live without Indy and he will do anything for her. As he gains her trust, I fell more and more for this man. There is a big cliffy at the end of the book as would be expected going into the last book of the trilogy. This story has a lot of twists and turns that keep you on your feet. I can’t wait for book 3!
Holy crap! Just holy crap! This book was off the charts. India and Jericho are an inferno together. The sweet side of Jericho Forge was almost more than I could take. My heart was beating triple time. Learning more about his past just broke my heart and made me love him more. It really put everything into perspective. This book was packed with action, suspense, drama, and hot, hot, hot passion between India and Forge. And as always, one humdinger of a cliffhanger. I am so ready to see how it ends in Heart of the Devil!
Lucky to have read & loved this book!
I love this book! We start where we left off at the end of Deal with the Devil, & there is tension from things Forge has kept from India. The meat of this book is India & Forge falling in love even though they don’t realize it, but outside of that forces are working to keep them apart. My heart felt so much for them, because they just want to be loved by the other but not trusting it. India is still as feisty & smart as ever & keeps Forge on his toes, but she is also vulnerable & has to face some things about her past. All of that gives me mad respect for her! Forge is still the strong Alpha, but he finds a different side to himself to keep India. That made me love him even more! I loved every minute of reading this book & can’t wait for the final book!
Ohhhh man. Are you ready for more Jericho Forge?! I feel like my head is still spinning from this wild ride. Luck of the Devil is fantastic, insane, brilliant, and everything else in between. Counting down the days until I can get my hands on the next. I need more.
Luck of the Devil is the second book in the Forge trilogy. Let me tell you this- IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!!
I NEED BOOK THREE NOW!!!!
Noooooo…I can’t even tell you how this book made me feel but I fell even more in love with Jericho and Indy and I need book 3 stat!
OMG…this book was even better than the first one. I don’t think I even have words to sufficiently describe how much I loved Luck of the Devil. It was gripping, enticing, unpredictable and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the story, as I did not know what to expect.
As much as I loved Forge before, I loved him even more in this book. Alpha and assertive yet he knows when to take advice, he was the perfect book boyfriend and I was swooning over him throughout the story.
I loved that Indy was strong and relentless and did not just sit meekly by. She and Forge were a perfect match for each other. The chemistry they had grew more intense in this story. Their steamy scenes were even hotter and burned up the pages of the book. I loved watching the development of their relationship as they slowly got to know each other.
We learn so much more about these two complex characters as we are given bits of their backstory and at times it will tug at your heartstrings yet it will leave you wanting, as more question emerged. Of course the cliff-hanger ending almost stopped my heart. It was so not what I was expecting but then Meghan March did nothing that I expected throughout this page-turner.
Luck of the Devil was a phenomenal masterpiece worthy of more than 5 stars. Suspenseful, romantic and sexy it was everything you could want in a novel and then more. I loved it and would highly recommend it.
This review is for the audiobook version.
The action starts right from where Deal With The Devil left off. This time Jericho Forge gives us a little insight into what his past was like. He doesn’t want people’s sympathy but you can’t help but feel sorry for the little boy. India Baptiste continues to show how strong a woman she is.
If you loved listening to the first book than you’ll want to make sure to get this latest in the Forge Trilogy. Our narrators, Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, continue to bring this author’s work to life. You will have no trouble picturing each scene as the story goes on. We rely on them to bring our author’s words to life and they do that in spades.
This book looks at an agreement that these two made and how their relationship builds. There’s plenty of suspense as well. The suspense seems to swirl around Indy but having a man like Jericho in her world is a good thing. There’s still that back and forth of “will they?” “won’t they?”. Try to find a good stopping point is next to impossible. I only stopped when I really had to – work you know.
Just like in the first book, I still can’t decide if Jericho is an angel or a devil. That’s ok though because that made it easy for me to decide that I had to keep listening. The author’s very good at her job because I couldn’t decide where things were going – she has me constantly guessing. With winter storms coming into the area, I’ve decided being somewhere warm when I get ready to listen to this trilogy again will be at the top of my list. Being on an island, lounging on a beach, with a drink in my hand sounds like a good plan.
The heat between our main characters is not hard to imagine. Having a great pair of narrators helps with the visuals. Having someone who can make her words sing is the other. This was a great way to have the outside world disappear and just concentrate on the lives of Jericho Forge and India Baptiste. But just like the first book, I’m not prepared for the ending. You think it’s going to be happy and then comes that question, again, “what just happened?” proceeded by “when can I get my hands on book three?” You can’t leave me hanging now! This book does not disappoint – unless you count the fact that book three isn’t out yet.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
I just can’t get over how Meghan just gets better and better with every book. The way she plans the incredible characters and amazing storylines keeps me doing for more. This book was of course no different. From chapter one there are twists and turns and you’ll never see them coming. These two characters are incredible, both separately and then they’re chemistry together…. explosive! Another 5+stars!!!
4.5 Stars
India and Jericho drew me in from the very beginning but in Luck of the Devil we see a complete different side of them. The suspense behind the why Forge tricks India into marriage. India is on high alert and and very much afraid of the why’s and worried about getting pulled into the eye of the storm.
But Meghan March expands on these characters, letting us see a little glimpse of the lives they have lived and the wonderful people they can be if they drop the masks.
The high of emotions that comes with high stakes poker and winning. The love of a game and the need outplay the men at the table, prove she is worthy of sitting there.
I was not ready for this part of the story to be over yet. I wanted more of the high before the crash of that crazy cliffhanger. I knew it was coming, but it still shocks me every time.
I can’t wait for more. How long do I have to wait.

Jericho is….everything, one of a kind. He proves himself to be the man, husband and protector of India. I loved this book more than the first and I can’t wait for the next one! I need it!
5 stars
I was torn between my rating. I almost gave it 4.5 stars, but then I started to really think about the story. I thought about all of the twists and turns, all of her growth that we see in Luck of the Devil. We so much especially between Indy and Jericho. Their relationship goes through a lot. On the verge of disaster to forging a bond that could be one of the strongest. I loved seeing how they grew.
Indy and Forge have a lot to learn about each other. How to push each other’s limits, when to stop, when to throw in the towel, when to negotiate. They’re having to learn all of this while battling whoever is after Indy. You can give a person whiplash with all of the twists that are sent at us. This was such a wonderful second book in a trip that can only get better. And this ending….it’s better than the laaaaaast. I’m just saying……you won’t be expecting it.
Indy and Jericho’s story continues in second book in series. Indy is trying to figure out her new husband and why he does the things he does. Jericho is learning this isn’t just a marriage to benefit his interests. Can they put their guards down long enough to accept what’s happening? Will they both make it to get what they want?
Ok ok ok.. honest, after book one’s ending, I wasn’t sure how I was going to like book Two, but let me say something- Meghan March wrapped up all these little pieces I was questioning all while building the story and suspense that carries us into the final book. And I’m totally digging it.
I am totally in love with India, she is so hardcore and independent that I just want to throw up my hands and day- yup.. that’s my girl! Not only that but she melts Jericho and there is nothing more I wanted to see out of these two.
I enjoyed book Two.. do I wish I didn’t have to wait for another book and that this was all combined into a single books- yeah… But here I’ll be, waiting on baited breath for the finale.
