Lucifer’s Emblem: A Paranormal Academy Novel (Celestial Academy Book 1)
By Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the story Lucifer’s Emblem: A Paranormal Academy Novel (Celestial Academy Book 1) by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. It is a book that is entertaining and hard to put down once I had started reading it. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Zuri and Miryam. Zuri is trying to recover a stolen relic. Zuri is someone who is independent and takes chances. She finds herself at the Celestial Academy and meets Miryam. Miryam is the daughter of the Archangel Michael. She is a girl who wants attention and can be needy. There is bad blood between Fallen and Archangels. Can Zuri and Miryam work together to find out the true motives of the thief and get the relic back? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has action and danger. I enjoyed reading the bantering that goes back and forth between Zuri, Miryam, and the other characters that are introduced in the book. The authors have done a wonderful job in world-building. This is a book that had me wondering what was going to happen next and how it all would end. I highly recommend reading it.
This book is excellent for fans of Cassie Clare, and that is saying a ton.
Zuri bat-Lucifer is as content hanging out with her friend Damien in Hell as she is shopping in NYC. Her doting dad has had a bad wrap; he’s made sure she is well rounded, capable, and happy–and he knows that giving her a touch of the human life her mother once had is essential. Still, it has also fostered the natural mischief in Zuri’s soul, and now she is on a quest to recover a priceless angelic relic stolen from her father’s collection before he notices it’s gone, and all Hell breaks loose. LITERALLY.
I love Zuri. She is book girlfriend material and then some. Strong and kickass you need to know before you start this book that she is no doormat, Zuri is a make-things-happen heroine. One thing she is causing in Celestial Academy is a trail of dubitability. After years of the winners writing history, she is setting the record straight, and the Archangel Michael loathes it.
And that brings us to the other pet project on Zuri’s plate. Making a real warrior out of angelic Miryam bat-Michael daughter out of the Archangel who banished her father and possibly the laziest and unmotivated person Zuri has ever met–if she weren’t cute she might have nothing going for her. Well, that and she is becoming a loyal friend. And did I mention she’s cute because there might be a crush forming there?
I honestly cannot wait for book two.

She was the heiress to her father but it is all out into doubt when a relic is stolen and now she needs to get it back. She needs to lie to get into the school. Will her true identity be found out? What if he finds out who she really is? There is a plot and they may have to trust each other to stop it. Will they?

I love this writing duo and this book didn’t disappoint. I loved the storyline and characters and found the premise intriguing and completely captivating. Rich detail and imagery kept me glued to the pages. I simply couldn’t read it fast enough. Loved it!
Lucifer’s Emblem by Sarah Biglow is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have loved reading very much. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about LGBT and paranormal romance.

Zuri and her friend Damian decide to go break in to see her father’s emblem. She feels the draw to it more than ever. When she touches the glass, it shatters. When she looks up and sees someone stealing it. She takes off after them as they will not get away from her. This is to be her responsibility one day. The thief leads her to the last place she expected,Celestial Academy. She decides she is going to try to get in and get back what was taken.
She had no problem entering the grounds like she thought, but how is she going to find the thief. She decides to lie and forge documents that say she is a new student. She meets Archangel Michael, her father’s nemesis, he decides she is going to room with his daughter Miryam.
Zuri and Miryam spend the day together, Zuri finds her to be spoiled brat. She puts her in her place. Miryam is not use to people treating her the way Zuri does. She tells Miryam the truth of why she is there but not who she is. Zuri and Miryam will work together to find the emblem and the thief. They just were not expecting who it was and what it means.
There is a lot to this story, this story start off right in the action. You will be drawn into this world and can’t help but read the adventures they are having. As they learn some hard truths and form something special against the rules. Looking to see what else happens with Zuri and Miryam.

“Lucifer’s Emblem” the third installment in the “Celestial Academy” series by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk is one of the most original takes on the nowadays extremely successful YA academy genre.
Lucifer’s only defense against the Archangel who banished him from Heaven is his Emblem, but now that Emblem has gone ‘missing’. Zuri, Lucifer’s own daughter, tracks down (or should we say ‘up’ ) the artifact (and the thief) into the Celestial Academy. As a Fallen’s daughter she is not allowed to enter the Academy, but the solution is easy, fake ID in she goes and finds Myriam (Michael the Archangel own daughter). Despite their differences they become friends and embark in a quest to prevent the apocalypse to happen.
“Lucifer’s Emblem” is an amazing start into this new series, which interweaves elements of urban fantasy, YA academy, mythology and a brand new take on angels (fallen and otherwise) into a fast-paced, action-filled, very entertaining page-turner with the signature writing of Biglow and Zenk, who complement each other to perfection. A veritable wonderful series and a must-read recommendation for any Academy fans.
Wow, this story was a hoot. It introduced a new version of what happened after the War of the Heavens. The main characters were a hoot to read. Miry and Zuri were a blast together and kept me very entertained. The bits of mystery and danger were wild and kept the suspense flowing. Just a great read. I love Zuri and had my fingers crossed she would find what she was looking for and not get caught.

Lucifer’s Emblem: A Paranormal Academy Romance by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk is the first book in the Celestial Academy series and is a paranormal book. This book follows Lucifer’s daughter Zuri and her quest to track down Lucifers Emblem that was stolen. This leads her to Celestial Academy where she must create a false identity to even enter. She meets Miryam the daughter of an archangel that has issues of her own. I loved these two and the connection they had. Can the two figures out who stole the emblem and its secrets? Can their bond get past the bad blood between the families? This book was an amazing read and one I highly recommend. Can’t wait to read more in this series.
Having not read these two authors before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was definitely not dissapointed. I really enjoyed reading this book, and I plan on doing so again! I was drawn right in from the very first page, all the way to the end! I definitely recommend this book, and I’m excited to see where this story goes. I look forward to reading more from this fantastic duo!
Lucifer’s Emblem is an amazing start to an exciting series adventure you will not be able to put down. As soon as you finish this book, you will be begging for the second book in the series. With the use of dual perspectives throughout the book, the characters become painted so vividly that it is as if you are watching a movie, rather than reading a book.
In this book, you will get to follow a daring adventure as a Fallen child, Zuri, daughter of Lucifer, and Archangel child, Miryam, daughter of Michael, attempt to work together to prevent an Apocalypse after Lucifer’s Emblem is stolen. However, given their differences, it proves difficult for Zuri to trust Miryam. Can Zuri trust Miryam in time to save the world from an apocalypse? Will Miryam believe in herself enough to accomplish this victory? These are only a couple basic questions you will continuously ask until the very last page.
Lucifer’s Emblem : A Paranormal Academy Romance (Celestial Academy Book 1) by Sarah Biglow & Molly Zenk
4 Stars!!!!
I have read these authors before and I was really excited to read this the first book in a new series. I was not disappointed. I really found this book to be a great read. The characters are really brought to life as much as supernatural characters can be. I just love the angels and fallen theme to the book. I found that the idea of like a school setting was just an added bonus.
I really like how Miryam and Zuri become friends. I like the structure of the story and how the drama and romance is balanced out within it. I have always loved angel themed books and this is definitely one of my top ten. I will definitely be reading more from these authors in the future.
I enjoyed this book by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. The story is about The Fallen and Archangels and it was a fun romp throughout. Lucifer’sEmblem is a funny young adult novel that can be enjoyed not only by kids, but by adults as well. Being a part of the story and watching the friendship of Zuri and Miry come together was enjoyable. I really liked the fact that Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk made the heroines different and unique as I think this will help young readers realize this it is okay to be different and unique. Lucifer’s Emblem was funny and had enough adventure to make it a good book to read. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Zuri, is Lucifer’s daughter. She has tracked her father’s Emblem, which happens to be his one defence against the Archangels that banished him from Heaven, to a thief at the Celestial Academy. However, as a chid of a fallen , Zuri will never be allowed entry to the school for the descendants of angels and saints.
But she comes up with a plan…… She dons a fake identity, which will lead her right into Miryam bat-Michael’s path. Miryam is the daughter of the Archangel Michael and she is far from perfect herself. Craving the love of her farther, as he is never there, therefore she is always seeking admiration and affection wherever she can find it. She will even throw in with Zuri, and she doesn’t fit in. An alliance blooms as the girls realise Lucifers emblem can unleash Armageddon and with Zuri’s blood, it can break the seal.
The only hope of averting the apocalypse and escaping death is for Zuri to trust Miryam, but is their growing bond strong enough to overcome an eternity of bad blood between Fallen and Archangels?
This is a brilliant angels and demons book, I really enjoy paranormal books and this one did not disappoint. The story flowed brilliantly and the characters was very well written, especially the relationship between Zuri and Damian, their friendship is wonderful. It gives a different take on good verses evil. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Very much looking forward to the next instalment.
This is a great young adult story. And it is an amazing first book. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
Zuri is the daughter of Lucifer. She lives a pretty boring life as the daughter of the leader of hell. All she has to do is learn the way to run hell so she can take over from her father. However she longs for adventure and she gets her wish when a special Emblem is stolen. This Emblem protect Lucifer from the Archangels and in the wrong hands it can cause trouble.
So Zuri follows the theif and finds herself on Earth at a school for saints and angels.
Miry is the daughter of Archangel Michael who is headmaster of the Celestial Academy. Nothing she does seems to make her dad proud of her so when a new student arrives asking for help to find a stolen part of history she jumps at the chance to help and hopefully gain her fathers pride.
Can the two girls work together to recover the Emblem and stop it being used for evil? Or will the gap between heaven and hell mean that the lack of trust makes this a lost cause?
Lucifer’s Emblem: A Paranormal Academy Novel (Celestial Academy Book 1)
By Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk

I’ve always loved paranormal academy stories. This one is about angels and demons. Zuri is the daughter of a fallen angel and when a powerful relic is stolen, she goes in search of it. It leads her to Celestial Academy, a school for the children of angels. Forming an uneasy alliance with Miryam ( the daughter of Archangel Michael), they search for the culprit before the Apocalypse is unleashed. Will this tentative bond ease the bad blood between the Fallen and the Archangels?
I loved the characters in this novel. Each one was unique and likeable. Zuri is a strong lead who is smart and fearless. Miryam, being her opposite, needs to have faith in herself and learn where her strengths lie. I think they made a very good team. The secondary characters added an interesting aspect to the story as well. This is a good start to what I think will be an awesome series. Looking forward to seeing what their next adventure will be.
Lucifer’s Emblem: Celestial Academy Book 1 by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk really took me by surprise, usually I do not read books that have been written by more than one author due to mixture of styles but this book really surpassed all my expectations and is brilliantly written. Even though the book itself is not fast paced it gives you chance to read and experience more things about the characters and plot.
The characters are well thought out and interesting: we are introduced to Zuri who is one of the main characters and the one we follow along in the story. But do not be fooled, some of the secondary characters gain your focus too – making for a more interesting and flushed plot and story line. The introduction of Lucifer is another reason for reading this book as well as his portrayal and relationship with Zuri.
The plot holds your attention as a reader and gives you twists and turns that you didn’t think it would. Following the plot is easy and the added humour and wit included makes the book that much more realistic to the reader.
All in all, I am really impressed by this book and cannot wait for the second in the series to come out so I can follow along with the story.
