USA TODAY BESTSELLER • The Carolina Cold Fury hockey team is stacked with hotshots. But when a new player joins their ranks, he learns that even superstars can’t go it alone when it comes to love. Lucas Fournier is only serious about one thing: hockey. The league’s fun-loving charmer, Luc is always up for a good prank or a great lay, and he has no intention of settling down. But being traded to … down. But being traded to the Carolina Cold Fury—and to play alongside his big brother, Max—is no joke. With another title in sight, the last thing Luc wants is to let his new teammates down. To succeed, Luc will need to keep his head in the game and the most . . . er, demanding member of his anatomy in check. But when temptation hits, Luc hits back harder.
Museum curator Stephanie Frazier has always put business before pleasure, which just about explains her nonexistent sex life. But when Stephanie meets Luc at a champagne-fueled gala, she finds herself flirting like crazy—and going home with the uninhibited athlete. For one night, she learns what passion is all about. She just never counted on the little surprise Luc leaves behind. And that’s when things really start to get . . . interesting.

It’s time for another season with the Carolina Cold Fury and this time we meet Lucas Fournier, younger brother to Max. And Lucas sure does have his hands full.
Lucas is the middle brother of the Fournier children, he loves to have fun, spend time with beautiful women and when he wants something, he goes after it. Meeting Stephanie at a museum fund raiser, the flirting begins and they both decide to leave early for a drink.
Stephanie Frazier is a loner and is OK with that, she doesn’t need help from anyone. When Lucas offers her one night, she is all in because she knows who he is because she is a Cold Fury fan. And what woman in her right mind would turn down a night with Lucas Fournier.
Lucas wants to make a relationship with Stephanie but Stephanie doesn’t think she can do that. Can he show her how to love? Can she give it a try? Can the surprise bring them together?
I love this series and each story is better than the last. And oh my that epilogue with Van, I can’t wait for his story next.

3.5 All or Nothing Stars. This is book eight in the Cold Fury Hockey series. I haven’t read all of the books. I certainly haven’t read them in order. You don’t have to read them all, or in order, to be able to enjoy this series. Each book is a standalone and tells the story of how a member of the Cold Fury team finds his “person.”
All or nothing, that pretty much sums up Lucas Fournier. Luc is Max Fournier’s younger brother. Luc has just joined the Cold Fury team and he’s loving life. It’s always been a dream to play on the same team as Max. It’s even better that Cold Fury looks like they’re on target to take another Stanley Cup win. Luc is young, single, and loving life. His life can’t get much better.
Stephanie is the interim curator of the Raleigh Natural History Museum. The Cold Fury is sponsoring a fundraiser to help the financially strapped museum when she meets Luc. Stephanie’s life hasn’t been easy. She’s a loner. She’s broken from a lifetime of being told she’s not worthy, will never be worthy, and isn’t worthy of her parents’ time or affection, much less their love. She and Luc end up in a one-night stand that changes their lives forever.
I liked this one and read it in a day. It moves quickly although sometimes became redundant when it comes to Stephanie’s neglect issues. However, the more you learned about her parents, the more you understand why she is the way she is. The ending felt rushed and things fell into place way quicker than I expected. Luc is by far the one that will keep you reading.
Okay, wow! Ms. Bennett out did herself with this one. At first I thought Lucas was going to be a jerk but he wasn’t. He may have been a playboy but he took responsibility right away proving he was kind hearted, loving, protective and over all a family man. The Fouriners are a great family we seen that in Max. Lucas and Stephanie had some bumps in the road but they worked through them. What a great story.
Love all of Sawyer Bennett’s books
Love this series by Sawyer
Lucas Fournier is a hockey player who has no plans to settle down, like the rest of the members of his hockey team. When he sees Stephanie Frazier he is instantly attracted to her and although they have one mind blowing night together they both walk away. Four weeks later Stephanie finds Lucas to announce their one night left her pregnant. Lucas wants to be involved and as the two begin to navigate the waters for her pregnancy, they also flirt a lot and come up with another agreement. However, Stephanie has some huge walls around her and as Lucas gets closer then anyone before she isn’t sure she can learn to trust someone other then herself.
Great book, I thought the chemistry was fantastic between this couple. This series always has a terrific story and this is one of my favorites.
A great series about a hockey team! Loved the hunky guys and the women that love them.
Awesome series. I keep looking for more
I’m not a sports romance fan or a hockey fan but I love this series.
Lucas is another brilliant addition to the series. All these guys are so different in their own right and each story just as captivating.
This is Lucas’s story and how he finds love. Lucas is the brother of Max who has his own story in the series.
Lucas is book 8 and honestly I don’t mind if Sawyer Bennett goes through the whole team and then into the reserves, I love Sawyers writing each book solely focuses on the characters and hockey is merely their occupation, each romance in the series push all the right buttons for me as to what I like in a contemporary romance read.
Lucas is the playboy in the family he isn’t looking to settle down he’s a famous hockey player and if he’s looking for a bed of a woman for the night he doesn’t have to try hard.
Stephanie is in the right place at the right time, a boring charity event that has them both looking to spice things up. Lucas is instantly attracted to Stephanie and her sass and they have a one night stand.
Stephanie falls pregnant and a month later has the task of seeking Lucas out and letting him know.
Lucas is a lovely guy he will make your ovaries ache he is so sweet and swoon-worthy. H wants to do the right thing by Stephanie, get to know her and be involved in her pregnancy.
Stephanie hasn’t had the same kind of loving upbringing as Lucas she doesn’t even know family values or what it is like to be wanted by a parent. Stephanie has never felt love and Lucas scares her to a point where she has some high walls in place to protect herself.
Going from Lucas and knowing his feelings to Stephanie and her stubbornness you can’t help but get frustrated with her but it all comes right in the end and I did love the journey.
Another brilliant read, another hockey player on my BBf shelf and I am looking forward to the next book the grumpy Van has got me excited to read his story.
Told in dual povs. A stand-alone. Leads to HEA. No heavy drama or angst.
I am completely hooked on the Cold Fury! I adore Lucas, he stole my heart. Even in the beginning of the book when he is portrayed as a complete player. In complete “Fournier ” style though, he is a great guy from a great family. We met his brother Max in an earlier book. Stephanie took more time to warm up to, she has so many hang ups and has not matured enough to deal with them. She continued to irritate me throughout the book. I am super happy for their HEA and will absolutely continue reading the series! Sawyer Bennett can really write a captivating story and knows how to pull on your heartstrings.
I have always attempted to give ‘star’ ratings on my completed reads, just as a tracking method for my titles that I have completed. I have unlimited packages for audio, kindle, and utilize the local/state library.
However, I do not check the ‘I recommend this book’ unless I am willing to reread a book and or a series.
[I read about 5-15 books a month through kindle, and I listen to about 15-30 books monthly]
I have a full life as a nurse, professor, wife, daughter [daughter in law], sister, and mother. I love to read and love a thousand other lives by turning the pages in countless books.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide a review. Happy reading 🙂
This was a fun easy read.
I loved this whole series and loved it – though to be honest this was my least favorite of the stories. Sawyer Bennett always write a witty and steamy story and this was no exception. My only criticism was that sometimes Luc just acted like an immature dick. I understand that he was surprised and it took him a bit to catch up, but sometimes he was just a turd. I loved these stories though so it was important to hear his story as well.
“You protect yourself so tightly against getting hurt you could miss something really amazing…”
Another great addition to the Cold Fury Hockey series. This one is so different from the other story lines. I love that favorite characters from previous stories have been sprinkled in and new characters that will hopefully get their story are introduced.
“I know very well that my inability to fully open up could cost me probably the most important person I’ve ever had in my life.”
This book is an emotional rollercoaster…I literally was laughing one minute, cursing them the next, had a moment of hope, fanned myself and had tears running down my cheeks. I love the sense of family, loyalty of friendship, chemistry, personal growth and honesty with their insecurities.
Lucas is my FAVORITE of the Cold Fury series so far. Ms. Bennett wastes no time and immediately throws Lucas and Stephanie into the fire. Stephy was a tough nut to crack but once Luc did there was no turning back. During Luc and Stephanie’s book the ground work was laid for Van and Simone’s book. At first I was really mad that the epilogue was from Van’s POV because I NEEDED more of Lucas and Stephanie. They’re the first Cold Fury couple that needs another book!! I know we’ll see them again in Van’s book but it’s not the same. In the meantime I’ll be over here waiting (not so) patiently for November.

Lucas was another enjoyable read to the Cold Fury Series by Sawyer Bennett. I look forward to each of these books when they get released. Sawyer Bennett has found a way to make invested in each of these characters lives.
This is another complete standalone novel told in Dual POV. You don’t have to read any of the other books in this series to enjoy this one, but I will say that Jules and Max play a very important role in this book and you do see them a lot. Again Max is required to be read first, but this book could be kind of spoilery if you don’t. The flow and pace of this story was spot on and the storyline is an entertaining one.
I only had one problem with this book and that was Stephanie. I liked her characters in the beginning of the story, but as her doubts and insecurities carried on I really started to not like her much. I understood where she was coming from and all her issues were valid, but I guess I wanted to see more growth out of her as the book went on and not have it be an epiphany in the last chapter. To me by writing her that way, it made the ending feel rushed and unrealistic. I also started to not like Lucas in the end, but luckily he is so charming and swoony, I was willing to overlook her issues at the end.
Now even knowing I wasn’t too fond of Stephanie, I still enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes an unexpected pregnancy storyline and friends who fall in love over time. Also if you are a hockey fanatic like I am, you’ll like this book as well. I think Sawyer does a fantastic job balancing the story with romance, humor, and hockey.
In Lucas we follow Lucas and Stephanie. Lucas is Max’s brother and a member of the Cold Fury Hockey team. He is the type of guy who loves his job and his life, not looking to settle down anytime soon. Stephanie is a loner of sorts. She came from a wealthy family who pretty much ignore her, even to this day. I wanted to throttle her parents many times over….they are awful. Lucas and Stephanie meet at a charity fundraiser and hit it off right away. Both looking for only something casual…they hook up and it is off the charts HOT!!! But what happens when something unexpected happens and they are now forced into some thing more permanent?? Read this book to see how it all works out for them.
Sawyer Bennett is one of those authors whose work I always enjoy. Lucas was no exception, even if I kinda wanted to shake sense into both characters at times. There was a lot of back and forth, but ultimately I liked where everything ended up.
Both Lucas and Stephanie were interesting, complex characters. If I’m being totally honest, Steph was a bit tough to take at times. She didn’t just have walls around her, she basically had a fort. Nothing was getting through there… right? I understood why she was so closed off, she might’ve come from a life of privilege when it came to things but she never really had the love and affection she needed. Lucas was totally swoony. I mean, yes, he was a total playboy and the last thing he was looking for was something serious, but as things unfolded he changed his tune in the best way possible. He basically wore his heart on his sleeve and begged Steph to be brave enough to take it.
Lucas and Steph went from 0 to 100 after she got pregnant during their one night stand. They went from relative strangers — who just happened to have seen each other naked — to awkwardly trying to get to know each other and figure out where to go from there. I really did like the progress of their relationship — except the back and forth did get a wee bit old after awhile. Basically I wanted to grab Steph and shake her and yell “GIRL! He’s right in front of you and he wants you! Go get him!” in the hopes she’d let him in for real. Steph and Lucas had amazing chemistry and I liked how playful they were with each other. I shipped it pretty hard.
FAVORITE QUOTES
I’m riding high on a victory that I helped to seal, and while Max may be about true love, I’m about orgasms.
I suppose there’s a reason we have one-night stands. You engage in the most intimate activity imaginable with a near stranger and then you go your separate ways. It doesn’t get any more awkward that impregnating that stranger.
I don’t know what will become of Lucas and me in the future, but I can say he’s given me one of the happiest moments I’ll ever have and I’ll treasure this time together for the rest of my life.
“I don’t want to be friends with you, and I don’t want a casual fuck. I want you to let me love you. I want you to love me back equally.”
One that is always consistent with The Cold Fury Series is that you are never left disappointed. I’ve read series where it’s just been drawn out too much and it seems that the stories are starting to fall a bit flat. Thankfully, Lucas is nothing like that. Even though some of the story has been done several times, Sawyer Bennett always has a way to draw me in and make me invested in it.
Lucas is one of the new boys on the Cold Fury hockey team and he’s living his dream of playing professionally with his brother, Max. He’s a bit of a playboy and has absolutely no intention of settling down. But a one night stand with a fiery and confident red head changes everything.
Stephanie has worked hard her entire life to become successful. He past doesn’t really leave her with any support so she’s been doing everything on her own. She’s kind of the female Lucas in respects to not wanting to settle down and have a relationship, although their reasons why are different. When she meets Lucas, she goes for that much needed one night stand but that one night just turned everything upside down.
My heart broke for Stephanie throughout the entire book. Unfortunately there are people with her background and it’s always heartbreaking. Lucas is actually the perfect person to come in and show her what she has been missing and what she deserves. She just didn’t know it and wouldn’t accept it.
What I really enjoyed was watching Stephanie realize what a great guy Lucas is. Watching her walls crumble and her heart open up to him made me want to jump up and fist pump. Or dance. You get the idea. I was just so happy that it happens.
I had fun getting a little more of Max and Jules but Sawyer set us up to crave more of Van. So of course, I can’t wait to get my hands on his story. Overall, I enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a bit of drama with a strong heroine and a swoon worthy and sexy hockey player, then this is the book for you!
Lucas sometimes gets the shock of his life when he’s at away games, his girl is just full of surprises, “Jesus, Stephy,” I grumble as I bolt up off the bed and walk to the window to look out. The glass is cold and I lean my forehead against it. “Van could walk in at any time and I cannot be sporting wood or jerking off.” Lucas is all about priorities, “we need to eff first,” he tells me as he starts pulling my pants off. “You’re right . . . it’s been a long five days.” I loved this book, I fell in love with Lucas, the man was attentive.
This was a whole new arena for me from Sawyer…
Unexpected pregnancy? Check
Casual hook up to maybe something more? Check
A lot of emotional strife and tribulations? Check
Some really intense sex and fooling around? Double check
All wrapped up in the same book? You’ve got it here!
Sawyer really did something new for me with this story as she made me want to throttle the characters and just make them listen. This was not something I normally feel when reading her books. If was a nice change of pace though.
Stephanie really broke my heart in the beginning due to her upbringing. No one should go through that type of childhood, ever. But watching her grow and learn how to be in a healthy relationship was great. Lucas really was a great guy (even though he had his moments! He did learn) throughout the story.
Now I cannot wait for Van and Simone… god that epilogue…
