Luca: Badge Bunnies 6A Steamy Alpha Cop RomancePut your hands where he can feel them… hates me for doing my job and tearing her family apart in the process.
I want to give her the space she demanded from me six months ago, but as the investigation takes a dangerous turn, I realize things might not be as they seem…and Mykie might be in danger. I’ll never let anything happen to her, and maybe, just maybe, she’ll give me a second chance.
Mykie
Our family restaurant is built on one simple tenet: love.
I love my family, and up until six months ago when he put the cuffs on my uncle for a crime he didn’t commit, that love included Luca Romano, too. I haven’t been able to forgive him for what he did, but when he shows up at the restaurant needing to see our security camera footage, I can’t refuse him.
Someone, though, doesn’t like me helping the cops…and Luca’s arms might be the only safe haven for me.
Luca: Badge Bunnies 6 is an insta-love, happily-ever-after, STEAMY romance. No cliffhangers, no cheating. This is a standalone story part of the BADGE BUNNIES series.

When Mykie needs help the first person she calls is her childhood friend and her only love, Luca. With the drama and mystery get closer to Mykie than Luca wants so they concoct a plan to catch the real crook and just maybe free her Uncle. Good story. Short and sweet, but not too sweet. This was a sweet second chance book. Luca and Mykie had some past misunderstandings and trust issues but a crime committed close to home brought these two intense people together. They had a wonderful HEA. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this short, sweet and steamy book. Can’t wait for the next one!

Luca is a homicide detective, in the same neighborhood where he was born and has lived his entire life. He’s been in love with just one woman forever Mychaela – but she hates him. Mykie works in her family restaurant in Luca’s neighborhood. Yep – she hates him. He helped the FBI locate and arrest her uncle. They were each other’s first everything. When someone breaks into the restaurant and threatens her, Luca’s back into her life. She may hate him, but she trusts him completely. I love this book – a hot cop, a smart and beautiful woman, a little suspense, a crime or two, and a terrific lunchtime read. This is the last book in the series, and it’s been fun to read them. I missed the first one, but just purchased it. I’m looking forward to the author’s next work.

They belong to each other…………..they just need to deal with the present to get there
Luca is the latest installment in Mazzy King’s Badge Bunnies series and as with the previous books this one is all sorts of deliciousness. Detective Luca Romano works homicide in the Ridge City PD. He was born and raised in Ridge City and even went to Ridge City University afterwards joining the department. The only problem is that coming from the Little Italy section meant there were some people that did not take too kindly to him becoming an officer as there were some families in the neighborhood with dealings and ties to the Mafia.
Mychaela (Mykie) Mancini grew up with Luca and now manages her family’s restaurant, Mancini Cucina, which is a staple in the neighborhood. They went to school together and shared their firsts together – First Communion, first kiss at ten, first seriousl kiss at fourteen, first sexual experience and were first love’s. But now Mykie hates Luca as she blames him for arresting and putting her uncle in jail five years ago. He was working with the FBI to find and arrest a man for buying and selling stolen jewelry. He believes the evidence and she believes her uncle is innocent. Now the same jeweler who her uncle worked for and who was stolen from, Gio Esposito, has been murdered and Luca needs Mykie’s assistance. He needs to view the security footage from the Cucina’s cameras to see if they can identify the man Gio was seen walking with the night he was killed. Mykie is not to happy to see Luca again but she is happy to help as she liked Gio. But not everyone is happy that she cooperates and when she is threatened she reaches out to Luca and he rushes to her side, which he will not leave.
Sometimes it just takes something you love to be threatened to make you fight for who you want, even if you are fighting that person. But once both Luca and Mykie bare their souls to each other, along with confess that they have and always will belong to each other, things can really start over again.
Luca is a fun story with a bit of drama, suspense, mystery, romance, love and some steamy chemistry. It is a perfect afternoon story to get lost in for a bit. A definite must read to add to the other Badge Bunnies books!!!
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I kind of loved this story. There were a lot of elements to this romance and I liked how they came together.
Luca is a homicide detective in Ridge City. When he has to investigate a crime in the neighborhood where he grew up, he didn’t think it would bring him to Mykie Mancini. Mykie is the woman he loves, but she hates him for doing his job and tearing her family apart. He wants to give her the space she asked for, but she might be in danger. He can’t let anything happen to her. He needs her to give him a second chance.
Mykie works in her family’s restaurant. She loves her family and up until Luca tore her family apart, she loved Luca Romano, too. She can’t forgive him for what he did, but when he shows up while investigating a crime, she helps him. But someone doesn’t want her helping the police, and Luca may be the only one that can keep her safe.
There was a lot going on in this story, but it was well put together and very entertaining. I really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend reading this book!

3 1/2 Stars!!
Luca made a drastic error when he lead the FBI to Mykie’s uncle. With her uncle wrongly behind bars with a twenty year sentence, Luca tried to make things right knowing in his gut that her uncle was innocent.
In the midst of this bad blood hanging between them, Mykie was drawn back to Luca when her life was threatened by a related murder.
This short romance was evenly paced with dual POVs that helped the storyline. I liked that they found their way back together ending with a well deserved HEA.

Short but good
It’s a good short romance with an investigation and good characters who have a second chance.
Luca is a police officer and he finds Mychaela, whom he has always loved and who left him 4 years ago, but he helped the FBI arrest her uncle 6 months ago, and now she seems to hate him. However, after a murder and an assault, they reconnect and renew their relationship.
