And she’s traveled hundreds of miles to the small town of Safe Haven to make that wish come true. But the mysterious Cash O’Dwyer is nothing like she expected. Strong and kind, he makes her heart beat faster. And suddenly … suddenly that little secret she’s keeping about her sister stirs up all kinds of guilt…
Cash is stunned–and more than a little wary–to discover he’s a father. Having a family of his own was never part of his plan…until sweet baby Penny and her fiercely independent aunt Holly arrive in town. Now he’s trimming trees and stuffing stockings for three. But when the ghosts of Cash’s past threaten the future of his fragile new family, he’ll do whatever it takes to be the father Penny needs–and the man Holly deserves–for more than just the holidays.

Low Country Christmas by Lee Tobin McClain
What a wonderful Christmas romance to add to my Christmas reading this year!
I truly enjoyed reading this story of Holly and Cash. I excitedly turned page after page as surprising twists and turns made this Christmas romance so intriguing.
Left to raise her niece as her own child, Holly sets out to complete her sister’s dying wish to let the father know of his child. Only the journey isn’t as simple as it seems. Holly never plans for her heart to get involved along the way.
While this is the third book in the Safe Haven series, it can definitely be read as a stand alone book.
I received a copy of this book from the author, but was not required to give a positive review. This is my honest opinion of this book.
You will enjoy this clean Christmas story by Lee Tobin McClain! Holly is a wonderful independent young lady who loves and cares for her niece, Penny! A paternity test shows Cash is Penny’s father! Safe Haven is a community where the residents look out for each other! Cash may be a multimillionaire but he needs to learn that he is not his father. I recommend Low Country Christmas to others. I received a complimentary copy of Low Country Christmas from the author. This is my honest opinion.
A fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series! I highly recommend.
Low Country Christmas is the third book in Lee Tobin McClain’s Safe Haven series. Because the author put enough background information in the book, this book could be read without having read the other books first. However all the characters are great as is the whole series. I think readers would want to read all the books in order to truly enjoy the series. I received a copy of this book from the author but was not required to review it. My opinion is my own.
Cash and Holly as well as Cash’s siblings, mother, and the other supporting characters could be actual people. I loved them. The books were hard to put down because I wanted to know what happened next. The author gave so much detail and life to the characters and made the situations so real that you could imagine every scene. Lee Tobin McClain is a gifted author! One warning is that the series could be a trigger for those who experienced domestic violence. I believe it was dealt with care.
This story focuses on Cash. He finds out that he is the father of a baby girl and the mother has died. The baby is being raised by the deceased girls sister. This is a really sweet story of family and issues within families. There are some shocking revelations that really make you stop and think about your life and how to not live with regrets. I loved the story and how it ties right in to the previous books in the series.
Low Country Christmas is absolutely awesome I think it’s even better than the first two books. Had a mission, find her niece’s father. But Cadh has vowed to never become a dad for fear of becoming one like his was USELESS. The journey is long and with lots of twists along the way. The re-surface of some characters that I thought were out of the picture WOW!!! I was so shocked. You will love this book I had to make myself put it down at bedtime
Whew! What a story! I have not read any of the other books in this series – but I had no problem following along. I will be checking out the other books in the series since this one was so amazing! In this book ittells the story of the O’Dwyer brother, Cash. Big City girl Holly has traveled to Safe Haven looking for her neices father. Who ironically is Cash. Follow this plot along as it is so engaging. The author has created wonderful, memorable characters. The plot is original and will leave you with a good feeling. Will Holly fall for Cash? Read and find out for yourself!
I received a copy of this book from the author. All thoughts are my own.
I have loved this Safe Haven Series. It followed three brothers who were dropped off as kids in this small, quaint town where everyone knows everyone and cares about their neighbors. As they grow up and form relationships, we see them emerge as beloved citizens of the Safe Haven community. Cash O’Dwyer was the third brother to have his story fleshed out. When an unexpected result from a past relationship shows up, he must think about his priorities and make the right decisions. He may even find love on the way. I like how all the loose ends were wrapped up, after following various characters throughout the series. I received a copy of this book from the author but was not required to leave a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book was just a joy to read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is the first book that I have read in the Low Country series (Safe Haven) and it certainly will not be my last. I need to go and read the first two books so that I can acquaint myself with the other characters in this book. This is a sweet and clean book.
I give this book 5 stars for a wonderful story!
Lee is an excellent author that can write a good story and can keep her readers engaged from beginning to end. I love that about her.
The plot of the story is wonderful too!
Christmas is my favorite time of the holiday!
I think what I love most about this book is how she can bring a character to Safe Haven out of the blue.
Holly is an interesting person. I just fell in love with her at the beginning of the story. Her strong, bubbly, personality is a wonderful trait to have while Natalie is the quiet, reserved type that wants to be cautious.
Rita has an interesting background as well.
We know Holly came to Safe Haven for a reason but I won’t say cause I don’t want to give it away!
Chase is pretty good too. If he were a real person he can be my protector at all times as far as I’m concerned.
He continued to impress me throughout the whole book. Chase has become my favorite of the 3 brothers.
I really recommend this book. Christmas can’t come fast enough lol!
Lee once again thank you for a wonderful book and I hope that you will write another book about this sweet town called Safe Haven
My thanks to Netgalley. NO compensations were received. All opinions are my own.
I loved this last book in the series. I was hooked from the beginning and liked Cash and Holly and their story. I loved when Cash was able to finally face his demons from the past and work past them. The author did a wonderful job wrapping up the series and tying up all the loose ends. I would recommend this book.
I received a copy of this book from the author and was not required to write a positive review.
This was my first “Safe Haven” book that I’ve read and I really enjoyed it! Clean romance with sweet characters, great engaging story line, and full of holiday cheer.
I really liked Holly and Cash as the main characters, and as they worked past their first impressions of each other for the sake of baby Penny. I felt overwhelmed for Holly’s sake as she got bombarded by Cash’s family and friends, especially when they expected her to embrace them immediately and let them babysit baby Penny. It took alot of courage and faith for Holly to embrace the family and to ask for help. I really liked her determination to be a good mom to Penny and to do whatever it took to provide for her!
Sweet Christmas romance sure to make you smile!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
Wow oh wow, what a great finish to the O’Dwyer men’s story. Very well written with a satisfying love story line. But what a line…..will Cash and Holly be able to overcome themselves to make it work? Highly recommend. I received an advance reader copy from the author. Opinions are my own.
When Holly goes to Safe Haagen with Penny she can’t believe how the people treat each other. Cash is shocked when he comes home and finds a beautiful lady and a baby by his door. This book is truly inspirational and you won’t be able to stop reading it. Lee Tobin McClain is truly a wonderful inspirational author. She will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. I am honored to review books for her. If I could I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review.
This is the third book in the Safe Haven series, and it’s a great conclusion to the trilogy of the O’Dwyer brothers. Holly and Cash both had dysfunctional childhoods, and they are both independent, keeping themselves distant from others, hesitant to get too involved. However, when they meet, they both feel the pull of attraction and the feelings of maybe wanting that love and family connection despite their fears and concerns. Enter an adorable baby girl who binds them together as they help her overcome her own rough beginning, a strong support system of family and friends, add in some suspense, and you have a riveting and heartwarming read that is hard to put down. This is I very much enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!
All her life, it’s been only Holly and her sister Tiffany, with a mother who was, at best, inadequate. But when Tiffany dies, Holly is truly alone, except for her tiny niece, Penny, who Tiffany entrusted into Molly’s care. Fulfilling Tiffany’s last wishes, Holly goes to the small beach community of Safe Haven to find Cash O’Dwyer and introduce him to his daughter. For as little as Holly knows about being part of a family, Cash believes he’s a carbon copy of his worthless father and thinks he has no business trying to be a husband or father. But since meeting and falling in love with his year-old daughter, Cash wants to try and be the father Penny needs.
This is one of those books that leaves me with conflicting emotions. I adore these characters and love their heartwarming, emotional journey, but Cash’s story means the end of my visits to the warm, welcoming community of Safe Haven. This is one of those series I wish could go on forever because the characters have secured a permanent place in my heart, from the O’Dwyer brothers and their ladies to the crotchety menswear shop owner who loves his dog but isn’t too fond of people.
Holly and Cash both have some baggage, and even in the best of circumstances they have some things to work through. Their road to forever is fraught with bumps and dips and curves, along with that element of suspense that this author does so well. But they’re both so endearing and authentically human that they won me over from the start and I was cheering for them from beginning to end. These are characters that stay with the reader long after the last page, and their heartfelt, evocative, feel-good story is one you absolutely don’t want to miss!
*I read an early edition of this book freely and voluntarily, having made no commitment to provide feedback and receiving no compensation of any kind from any source.
Holly Gibson had a good life in New York City. She loved her job and all the amenities the Big Apple has to offer. Then her sister dies and leaves Holly with her one-year-old niece Penny and a mission to find Penny’s father to let him know he has a daughter. Holly travels to the small town of Safe Haven, SC to find Cash O’Dwyer. Cash is a multi-millionaire who has the ladies drooling over him and Cash has experienced enough of these ladies who are more interested in his money than in him. Cash acknowledges the week he spent with Holly’s sister Tiffany but Tiffany told him she was on birth control so Penny couldn’t be his daughter. Fast forward to getting the results of the DNA test- Cash is indeed Penny’s father. Penny is an adorable baby and Cash finds himself drawn to her. The problem is he is drawn to her aunt also. Cash isn’t a settle-down kind of guy. Or is he?
Low Country Christmas by Lee Tobin McClain is the third book in her Safe Haven series. I didn’t read the first two books in the series but after reading this one and getting glimpses of the background stories of Cash’s two brothers in the first two books I definitely plan to go back and read those books. Lee Tobin McClain has written a heartwarming story about 2 people who are attracted to each other and love a precious baby girl. They fight their attraction but fall in love with each other in the end. Setting this story during the Christmas season enhanced my enjoyment of the book. I enjoyed reading about the holiday traditions in Safe Haven and the family traditions as well. Safe Haven is a delightful small town where the community comes together and nobody is a stranger for long. My kind of town. I totally enjoyed this story!
I received this ARC from NetGalley and Harlequin-Romance in exchange for my fair and honest review.
I love Christmas stories anytime of the year. This was my first book from this author and found it to be very enjoyable. I love books that take place in small towns where everyone works together, and are always helping others out. The chemistry between Holly and Cash, was very good. I really enjoyed watching the characters grow as more of their past become evident. I would certainly recommend this book to others.
