I met my true love when I was twenty-seven. He was handsome, charming, witty, and irresistible. Jayden Monroe came along when I was struggling with indecision and made things simple, turned monochrome into vivid color, and forever altered my perspective on life.I was not naive enough to believe in happily ever after, but with Jayden, it seemed possible . . . until I realized something wasn’t … wasn’t quite right.
You see, I met a man who would be anyone I needed him to be, and after I found out that fact, I knew it would be impossible to walk away. His disorder, however, would change everything I ever thought about love and what it truly meant to accept someone for who they are.
This is not my sob story; this is his success story

OMG!!! Another 5 star read from Kate Stewart. I honestly couldn’t get enough of her incredible writing. This story tugs at your heart and warms your soul all while melting your panties!!! Jayden Monroe will forever live on as one of my favourite characters! This heart stopping gorgeous man is suffering from ADHD and has never been able to find his soul mate. Someone who would understand, have incredible patience and undying love. Then he meets Hilary and there’s an instant intense connection. She fell for him so hard, so quickly yet she would stand up to him when she felt she had to. The emotions in their story are incredibly high and oh so low. I felt for the characters and was totally drawn into them, it was like you were right there experiencing everything with them. This story was especially touching as Kate Stewart is writing this story based on her husband having ADHD and her life experience. Thank you Kate for enlightening me on this seriously difficult disorder. I didn’t realize exactly all the issues one had to live with and my heart bleeds for them both. I will recommend this book strongly to all my book buddies. Definitely a must read!!!
5+ ****
Fantabulous!!!
This book was an amazing read.
There is nothing I didn’t like, from the characters, to the storyline, the hot sex scenes, the emotional aspects, the beautiful writing, the witty remarks, the reference to song lyrics, etc.
I could feel Jayden’s pain and struggles along with the difficulties Hillary was facing too.
The love between these two characters was palpable. Jayden was so romantic and you could see the effort he was making for Hillary.
Reading this story hit home on so many levels. My heart hurt and I cried for these characters!
I’ll miss them but I learned something from reading this book that I’ll take away with me.
Amazing author!
Loving the white liar gives you the perspective of how it is to love someone with ADHD. The whole time reading this story, you are cheering on Hilary and Jayden and wanting their relationship to succeed. Kate Stewart does a wonderful job of getting you invested in their story. I definitely recommend this book!
My favorite Kate Stewart book ever! I fell in love with with Jayden and Hilary.
I confess that I had a misconception about adult ADHD. I assumed it was just a milder and more manageable version of childhood ADHD—essentially difficulty focusing and restlessness. Based on the book description, I couldn’t imagine how the author was going to stretch these relatively benign symptoms into a conflict worthy of a full-length novel.
I’ve been personally affected by bipolar and anxiety mood disorders, so my radar went off when Jayden started displaying familiar behavior that seemed to have nothing to do with ADHD. Of course, I immediately Googled, “Adult ADHD symptoms.” What I found was enlightening, and it made me question why Hilary didn’t do her own Internet search sooner. I suppose sometimes we are so blinded by love that logic fails us, and we don’t heed the warning signs.
I’m grateful this book sheds light on the disorder, while handling it with great sensitivity. Loving the White Liar is a beautiful love story of hope, determination, and faithfulness.
Wow, this book is great. Hilary is not looking for love or even a boyfriend. That changes when she meets her sexy neighbor Jayden. There is definitely a connection between them. Jayden has ADHD. I have never read a book where the main character has ADHD. Kate did a great job writing Jayden’s struggles with it. Hilary is absolutely amazing. At first I don’t think is realizes how Jayden’s disorder will put stresses on their relationship. Hilary has unconditional love for Jayden, which makes this story absolutely amazing.
This is a fantastic read! This author has a talent that just pulls me into her stories with little to no effort. Her writing style is amazing! This story is also amazing!! The plot is more unique than what I’m seeing so often and that’s refreshing. Two people that aren’t afraid of some rough patches and do what it takes to make it work. Life isn’t always rainbows and unicorns and to read a story that is this realistic is awesome! I listened to this one on audio and the narrator did such a great job! I definitely recommend this!
Loving the White Liar is not your standard, easy go lucky romance. This is one of those stories that truly shows and defines what unconditional love is. It shows you that love isn’t easy, but when you find the one person who is truly worth it, you don’t give up on them. Thank you Kate for giving us Jayden and Hilary’s story – it truly is special and one I will always remember.
Automatic 1-click
Kate Stewart is now an automatic 1-click for me. I just found found her last fall with the release of Drive (a TOP read of 2017 for me!) and then Sweeping the Series. These 3 books are very different, yet have one thing in common- Kate’s Stewart’s phenomenal writing.
ADHD is usually thought about in regards to just the hyperactivity piece. Jayden shows us there is so much more to life as ADHD- and Hillary shows us how to live with it.
This is a beautiful, compelling, emotional story that bares it all – the good and the impossible.
“It was real. It was love. It was happiness. It was us…”
This was my first book by Kate Stewart and why I waited this long I have no idea. Because this book was just what I needed. A heartwarming love story which had its trials and tribulations. But overcame it all thanks to the love and faith these two people have in each other.
I’ve heard about ADHD and its symptoms, so I had a feeling, that it was going to an emotional ride.
I just love Hilary and Jayden. To be on the sidelines of their first meeting and watch how their slowly growing friendship leads into a relationship. But also everything that comes with having a partner with ADHD. How to make a relationship work. Sacrificing and compromising. They are two strong and determined people in their own way. It’s interesting to see how they both deal with it but what most moving is their undying love for each other. I LOVED that!
The other characters had so much heart as well. I enjoyed Hilary’s family, Jayden’s mother but definitely also Hilary’s beautiful and honest friendship with her girl Gerri.
This book felt so real and authentic. Even though I don’t know any with ADHD, I felt I could relate to Hilary and what she was going through. I was with her every step of the way. This was truly a story about a strong and real love between two people. Well done, Kate Stewart! You captured me from page one. Now I need your next book.

I thought I understood ADHD, but I found out there was much more to be learned. The characters were what drew me in and I felt the heartbreak they shared as his condition became apparent. An emotional read that I couldn’t put down.
