Loved Louisa. The relationship portion was entertaining, but the plot line cheesy and very predictable. For that it was just so so.
enjoyed the storyline
I love this author and discover her books series there,s mystery, Love and frienship Louisa and nicholas tried to overcome their doubts.
A well written mystery. Something is wrong with the marquess and he thinks he is dying. But is he? Read and find out. A good story.
This is a book you can read several times and steal enjoy it as though you read it for the first time. Great summer read
Lovely story. It ends very well
The back-and-forth of the marquess got old: I want her but I don’t want to pass on my genes. The angst was a bit much.
Good book!
Liked the friendship between the main characters.
I absolutely loved this book. Great read!!
Not at all what I was looking for in a historical romance. I wanted a clean, light romance with no sex. No thank you.
Engaging and well-written.
Very interesting twist. I didn’t see it coming.
1900’s chicanery, heroic characters, it wasn’t the butler, surprising ending.
Good read.
Marquis Nicholas falls I’ll and knocks on the door of Louisa during the night. She takes him in but when he wakes up he believes he has bedded her! Believing he is about to die, he asks this now penniless woman to marry him. The dialogue is witty and there is a happy ending.
I enjoyed reading series plus the prequel.
Her writing is great
Yummy!! With wit and sass I was drawn pretty quickly into the story, felt for the characters, and their actions within their personal worlds made sense to me. It’s a pretty steamy read, took a little time to get there but the wait helped give me time to get into the backstory. Good stuff.
Loved this series!
Nice story held my attention with very captivating characters.
