Very fast paced, page turner, mystery & romance.
This is part of a series but it can stand on its own. The story and characters were wonderfully developed. The ending was a great surprise.
An unpredictable tale taking twists and turns but you want to follow because it’s such a page-turner filled with wonderful characters. I also like the romantic and steamy scene between Louisa and Nicholas and there happily ever after.
As well as that which is blossoming between Catherine and Kerrick.
I really enjoyed this book. The story and characters were entertaining and kept my interest throughout.
This was a different approach from the usual romance. I really enjoyed the book.
Cute historical romance that was a quick read. I predicted pretty early on what Nicholas’s “illness” was but it was a bit of a shocker who was the culprit. Anyway. took a peak at the next installment of the series and I have absolutely no interest in Kerrick and Catherine so this will be it for me with this series.
I loved how this story and it’s characters were brought together. This gives a glimpse of what it was like to live in the time portrayed.

He thinks he doomed like his father and brother to die young from some unknown disease. She is raising her siblings after the death of both parents. He finds his way to her door one night after a attack of dizziness and she finds herself in need of his help. She helps him find out he was being poisoned and who does it and they fall in love.
I liked the twist and turns.
It felt rushed and like a short story that the author just added more words to call it a novel.
Great surprise ending. Wonderful characters!!!!
a bit predictable but well written.
Enjoyed this book
Overall an easy, pleasant read. Predictable (which is not entirely a flaw in this genre) and the writing wasn’t too bad. The twist at the end, of who the actual villain was, was nice. I’d assumed it, bu tit wasn’t blatantly foreshadowed.
This was a really good read that I did not want to end.
Great read – good love story with mystery woven through it!
This book was great. Unpredictable, romantic, entertaining
I enjoyed this book very much. The two main characters had a marriage of convenience, each for different reasons. She is strong willed but destitute without a means to support her two siblings upon the death of her parents. He thought he had inherited a life threatening disease and needed an heir to carry on his legacy and title. There are …
Great book.
