Tenley Langston is an indepent woman, and she doesn’t need a man. After being burned by her last boyfriend, she made a promise to herself to kick men to the curb and focus on herself. She doesn’t need them anyway, especially not one that’s a doctor. Griffin Wood is a man who knows what he wants and doesn’t stop until he gets it. That’s why when he sets his sights on Tenley, he’s not put off by … put off by her cold shoulder. Underneath her frosty attitude is a flame that will burn them both to the ground.
Tenley is bound and determined to keep Griffin at arms length, but when trouble comes calling, he shows up like a knight in shining armor making it hard for her to resist him anymore. With Grant stirring up trouble, will their love be able to survive?
Warning: This book contains a doctor who knows what he wants and how to get it, a stubborn woman who puts up one heck of a fight, and Grant. We all hate Grant by now, don’t we? And we can’t forget the nurse outfit. There’s one of those too.

An enjoyable book 20 in the Hot & Heavy In Paradise series! The storyline is very entertaining, engaging, well written, steamy, quick, and well thought out with drama, danger, and more. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is off the charts! Definitely recommended!

Tenley (nurse) and Griffin (doctor) work in the same hospital and have the same friends, which causes them to cross paths a lot. She had a really bad relationship with another doctor (Grant) and it did not last, which is why she swore off doctors. The characters are strong and determined to get their way. The romance skyrockets between them and breaks all their defense walls down. Suspense hits them in the form of Dr. Grant, as he shows up and causes trouble, eventually almost killing them. The story has just the right amount of action to keep it exciting and the romance to keep it hot. The ending is so good.

This is a short, funny, steamy, cute and hot Doctor. Tenley just has a bad break up. She is not interested in getting involved with Dr. Griffin. However Dr. Griffin likes what he sees in nurse Tenley. He’s not one that’s going to give up and what he wants. I love how he slowly wins her over and how he saves the day from her ex. Tenley did not want to attend her best friend’s BBQ, but Rayleen guilted her into it anyway. Tenley’s hesitation was because she had dated Grant, thought he was the one, and found him in a tight clench with an intern. Grant lived in this same gated community where many of the doctors from Paradise General lived. And since that fateful day, she had sworn off all men.
Tenley ran upstairs with Rayleen to help her get ready. But they ran out of wine, so Tenley offered to go downstairs and get another bottle. She grabbed one, ran upstairs, and leaned against the door, falling backward into a very comfortable body who asked if she was okay. Her body reacted to the man until she turned to look at him! Nope, she would never get involved with Griffin Wood, and she was unhappy that he could make her feel this excitement with just a couple of words and a warm body!
Griffin asked Isaac if he knew why she hated him so much. He had never done anything to her that he could recall. Isaac reassured him it was that she hated ALL men right now because of Grant’s actions. So Griffin decided to go to the backyard and try again with her. He found her standing rigid with arms crossed and glaring at Grant. So Griffin stood beside her and made fun of Grant, enough to insult him to leave. Tenley’s smile made it all worth it, even if Grant tried to get even with him at work!
Drinking a bit too much, Tenley didn’t protest when Griffin kissed her in the kitchen. She had been thinking about him all night, so it felt right. The man seemed to be great at everything he did! Would she give him a chance? Could she see he was not like Grant in any way? Is Grant going to continue being obnoxious? Or will the two of them finally get together and find that HEA that is waiting for them?
This is a cute, funny story that I really enjoyed. Grab your copy and enjoy the banter and shenanigans that go on with this crazy bunch of people! And see if Tenley sobers up enough to make the right choice this time!
Doctor love is here and he is going after the girl he wants, only problem is that she is fighting him all the way…this leads to very romantic and very funny moments in their story. Loved this book.

This is a quick story, and it was packed. Tenley had liked Grant, he did something to make her dislike him. Then Griffin enters the picture. Griffin and Grant have a few interactions. I loved the characters because we all know someone like one of these people. The story flowed and there were surprises along the way. Great book.

What makes this book is the dialogue, internal and external. Tenley and Griffin are fun characters, but what makes them fascinating and lovable is the silliness and OTT opinions they each have. Don’t get me wrong. Tenley is sharp-tongued, feisty, a loyal friend, a dedicated nurse, and fighting her attraction to Griffin with all her might. She’s sure that she’s done with men, doctors in particular, but gives in to Griffin’s persistence because deep down she knows he’s actually a good guy. Griffin likes to style himself a playboy, a better than everyone doctor, a man’s man. But he knows all the head nurses by name, treats them with respect and affection, and knows all their favorites. Also, all it takes is a hint about Tenley’s ex harassing her for all his protective, possessive, sweet instincts to jump into action. Fun, sexy, and sweet, this is a book not to be missed! Happy Reading!!

With this being the 20th book, I have missed most of Grant’s shenanigans leading up to this point. No wonder Tenley swore off dating doctors!! Cue Dr. Grif and her tune changed…with resistance of course. This quick read was full of Drama! Drama! And more drama!
