Snarky wolf shifter + sassy redheaded almost-witch = sexy times, romance, shifter action and lots of laughs.Fun-loving wolf shifter Quinn could have any woman he wants. Any woman, except sassy and curvy almost-witch Selena, who seems resistant to his charms. He denies his attraction her, but his wolf craves her attention. Selena knows Quinn is trouble. He’s too handsome, too sexy, and way above … sexy, and way above her league. Pursuing anything with Quinn could only lead to heartbreak, yet he seems determined to break down her walls.
When Quinn’s past comes back to haunt him, it puts Selena in the line of fire and he’ll do anything to protect her. However, Selena has problems of her own and she finds herself having to choose between the life she’s always dreamed of or bet her heart on commitment-phobic Quinn. Staying together only means danger and pain, but can they really resist the attraction between them, which could end up imploding both their lives?
If you LOVE reformed playboy/virgin paranormal shifter romances, then READ this book!
Loving Quinn is a paranormal romance novel with over 60k words. It’s a standalone novel with HEA, hot and sexy scenes, Lycan action and no cheating. It is Book 2 of the Lone Wolf Defenders and takes place in the True Mates Universe but works as a standalone novel.more
Alicia Montgomery bring us this sassy, crazy, amazing enemies to lovers story! Quinn is this charismatic playboy Lycan and Selena is a sassy brassy almost witch. They naturally rub each other the wrong way but maybe that is because there is something else that is laying underneath the surface.
When they finally admit that there may be more than animosity between them, they burn up the pages because of their chemistry. The suspense and intrigue keep you reading until the very end! I am so glad that we get to see Quinn show Selena what she really means to him. Great story!
I really enjoyed this book. Quinn has had a rough life, he survived the foster care system until his adopted father Archie rescued him. Quinn hates to think about his past and is jaded by it. He is the computer nerd of the lone wolf security and is working on reuniting the lone wolf army with any remaining family. He may be jaded but there is a part of him that wants a HEA.
Selena is a sexy librarian that has also suffered in the past. I think there is a little bit of a Cinderella vibe with the step mother and cruel step sisters. Because of the bullying from her step sisters selena is very self conscious to the point that she sometimes feels invisible.
At the beginning, Quinn and Selena’s relationship is very love/hate. There is a lot of teasing back and forth almost like a boy pulling a girl’s pigtails on the school yard. Quinn is completely clueless when it comes to women and it is just too funny.
They are in a state of denial when it comes to their feeling for each other and it takes a couple attempts on their lives to realise they can’t live without each other.
Obviously they both mess it up but a grand gesture helps to push them toward their HEA.
I think the author has done another amazing job and I would really recommend this series.
I volunteered to read an ARC of this book and I was not obligated to leave this review.
The Lone Wolf defenders are back. They are falling into a routine with their business and work for Creed. This is the second in a new series and I loved it even more than the first.
Quinn and Selena’s story is unique to them even when we get to see some of our favorites from this series and the True Mate series.
Selena has a determination about her that shows how she will rise above. She has overcome so much in her past that she is hesitant for the future. Meeting her family was more than interesting. There was less than 6 degrees of separation for part of her family I was like OOOHHH they’re related haha. While she is reserved and scared, what it takes for her to finally stand up for what she believes in had me cheering. She is such a relatable female that I enjoyed every minute reading.
Quinn had some secrets that were surprising. We know the Lone Wolves each have their secret when Archie found them. I did not expect Quinn’s. He is confident and strong. When Selena comes crashing in, I felt like it knocks him to his core. The other part was his past. You could feel how it hinged on all his actions thus far. Overcoming that was enjoyable to read. He finally had someone other than Archie who believed in him.
A fantastic paranormal read for anyone who loves this genre.
Great characters and lots of carrying on. Selena and Quinn dance around their attraction to each other.
Never a fan of manwhores as heroes and Quinn really annoyed me believing the worst of Selena on the say so of her two B—ch step sisters. He knew what they were like.
Yes, Selena hadn’t told him what was going on with all the family drama but she had wanted to. Quinn was not really open to discussion.
Typical alpha male screw up.
Did like the ending though.
I absolutely love and enjoyed Quinn story. This entertaining book was jammed packed with action, suspense, mystery, and of course steamy romance. I also enjoyed the witty banter between Quinn and Selena. Overall a great read definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Something tells me that Connor is going to have us on a emotional rollercoaster. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
