She’s a headstrong single-mom determined to make it the Big Apple. He’s the best-friend with forbidden feelings. Is it worth the risk to turn this dynamic duo into lovers?Kate Thomas went from sucking on a silver spoon, to working the 9-5 to support her baby girl. All she’ll say: Bring it on. She’s written off men after she was left high, dry, and alone. She doesn’t need anyone except her … her blue-eyed girl, Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, and her bestie. So what if he’s a man, he’s only a friend. Even if Dex is sexy.
Dex Lancaster, the epitome of awkward-around-women, never imagined he’d have such a connection with a member of the opposite sex. He certainly never imagined she’d be the one to steal his heart.
It’s time to tell her the truth. Will a friendship survive the plunge into love?
This is the third installment in a series of comedic, standalone romances that will bring tears, laughs, and an all-around good time.

Only CJ Marie could write a wonderfully delectable love story such as this. It had the solid best friends relationship. A great setup for the perfect pairing. The angst of love unspoken. An evil interloper. Understanding parents and supportive friends. A tearjerker of a misunderstanding. And a wonderfully satisfying HEA. Clean and easy to read. Once I started reading this I couldn’t stop. I stayed up late into the night until I was finished. Then I basked in the aftermath with a smile on my face. This romance I can easily recommend for all romance lovers everywhere.
He’s been her rock since she showed up pregnant. Heaven forbid any other female ever try to get close to him. But he had found himself firmly in the friend zone. He loved her and her daughter, no one could tell him that she wasn’t his baby girl. Life has a way of putting mountains right smack dab in the middle of your hea. The hardest thing can be finding your way around it, his girls were worth that battle. She had too many loud useless , crazy, irritatingly loud and killing her hopes softly. She’s her own worse enemy when she can’t find the words or believe in their power. These two have to battle their own insecurities and own up to their connection. It isn’t always easy to put yourself out there but this author does it with class style and a little bit of chaos and thrills. Love her style and yeah this is most definitely a fun read that doesn’t exclude some angst and feels. I love these friends and how they ban together in fun, in love, in tough truths and in support. It makes for a great time, lots of laughs and a read that could never be long enough.
Loving on the Bestie is another great romantic comedy from CJ Marie. Ms. Marie delivered a sparkling story with great characters. This book even has a villain! The books in the series stand alone, but we really got some great updates on previous characters. I knew better than to start this book at 11 pm. It was very late when I finished. I loved this book!
This is my 3rd book by this author, and I feel a little bit like a broken record, but when an author consistently delivers well written stories, there are only so many ways to say you really like their writing. One thing I absolutely love when I’m reading a novel is not knowing EVERYTHING about the main characters when I first meet them. Real life is like that … you meet someone and you sure as heck don’t know everything about them. A good writer doesn’t give you caricatures. They create unique characters and I love learning what’s made the characters who they are … and if first impressions are wrong, well discovering another layer to the character(s) is the best part of a good story. This author does this so well. She takes you on a journey and slowly gives you glimpses into what makes her characters tick. This process makes likeable characters more lovable and complicated characters you may not like so much, redeemable. I found myself rooting for them and caring about them and yes – I hated to see the story end. This is exactly the kind of book I love. Good writing, good editing, excellent story line and characters that stay with you. HIGHLY recommend.
