Loving My Best Friend is a great friends-to-lovers-to-(almost missed the chance for but finally didn’t)-HEA.
Jack and Eva have been best friends for over 20 years – through Eva moving away with her family in high school, through college, through “adulting”, and everything in-between, up to the present: Eva losing her company after being sued. As best friends who love each other will – even if they don’t say it, or truly realize it – Jack is there to support her and help her out with a temporary job.
But working together brings them even closer, until friends turn into lovers, friendship into love.
Read this wonderful story – with a few tissues, there’s a few scenes that Ms. Reid wrote to be tearjerkers – to see how it ends!

WOW, Roxy Reid has taken you one wild and very emotional ride with Loving My Best Friend. Jack and Eva’s story is full of twist and turns that would make you dizzy and the ups and downs will leave you breathless while they take one step forward and ten steps backwards.
Jack and Eva have been best friends since grade school and have been in love with each since they knew what love was, but both of them were afraid to take the next step and loosing their friendship. Jack is the a great friend, he will stop what he is doing go help Eva even if he is with his girl friend. Eva does not want to admit to her feelings, she would rather run away and tell the truth.
Jack and Eva journey to find love and happiness was not easy as they both let fear and doubt stop them. Everytime you would think yeah they are finally getting there, something would happen and they would second guess and run backwards.
This was a fantastic story, I feel one of Roxy Reid’s best. Once I started reading I fell into the story could did not want to get out till the end.

The Story of How to Make Two Lovers of Friends
Eva Price and Jake McBride have been friends for 25 years, first meeting as young learners at the same NY prep school—Eva as a full scholarship student and Jake as a full tuition student. And, they bonded in a friendship that continued through high school when Eva’s family relocated from New York to California—a separation that hurt both young teens—but did not end the friendship. Amazingly, they reconnected during college at Columbia, friendship fully intact. And while the friends have shared everything—likes and dislikes, hopes and dreams—they have not shared the fact that they love each other as more than best friends. They have always been there for each other—willing to drop whomever was the romantic alliance of the moment if their best friend was in need. They provided each other support through the ups and downs of dating and breaking up with others (often the reason for the break up), but neither was willing to address the unspoken—the connection of romantic love—between themselves. Neither was willing to risk losing their friendship to the complications of romance, dating and sex.
Now, Eva needs help. At age thirty and still single, her PR company, Eva Price Consulting, has had a ten-year-long life, and now, death resulting from a money sucking lawsuit from a disgruntled client when Eva’s best work was not good enough to clean up the client’s reputation disaster. Jack, who has ridden the success of a generationally owned multi-million-dollar hotel chain to additional success is, as always, on call when Eva reaches out—even cutting out early from a rehearsal for a family wedding. And, he arrives late for his meeting with Eva, but bringing hope and a job—Eva can gain immediate employment with Rose Hotels, covering the maternity leave for hotel’s marketing director. But the perfect solution is complicated when following the wedding of Jake’s cousin, a departing Eva plants very passionate kiss on Jake who then escorts her up to his suite for the night where their friendship becomes one with benefits. And, because the passionate kiss was caught by the paparazzi and made public, Eva and Jake need a story to counter the rumors of inappropriate behavior between boss, Jake and employee, Eva. PR expert Eva has the solution—they aren’t a boss forcing his attentions on his employee if they are really secret lovers who have recently reunited and are now an engaged couple showing affection on a pubic street. And the PR girlfriend, now fiancée, was really just “helping” her husband-to-be by covering gratis a temporary opening in marketing department—no nepotism present. But, what neither Eva or Jake will admit is that this fake engagement is really the fulfillment of the deepest desires and the most secret, but unacknowledged, wishes of their hearts. And when an unplanned pregnancy becomes a part of the story, the couple must stumble overcome years of not publicly expressing their real feelings to each other when life intrudes with the new, unsorted emotions of pending parenthood mixing into an already confused emotional swirl.
Ms. Reid’s romantic storytelling not only entertains, but also offers the reader the opportunity to reflect on the value of friendship and the impact of not openly sharing years of emotional truths. The author compels the reader to explore the idea of turning friends into lovers, but with the complications of 25 years of unexpressed emotional stages finally becoming public.

A really good and exciting read with a gripping well-developed story-line that is fluid and flows smoothly. It is a fast pace page-turner that is drama-filled, funny, emotionally deep, and witty. Amazing and loveable characters; the chemistry between them is undeniable! Definitely recommended.

Love for a Lifetime
Eva & Jack have loved each other since they were kids. Now an upcoming fake marriage is in the cards, saving them the criticism of Eva working for Jack. The hardest part, beside the memories they make while in each other’s arms, is facing the reality they loved each other for years but don’t want to be apart any longer.
This is my first novel of Roxie Reid. I’m impressed by how she brings her characters to life. When I started reading, I felt pulled into Eva’s life, feel both of their emotions, cheering them on to get their HEA & feeling sad when doubts arose. I like her writing style with the right touch of everything a romance reader yearns for in an enticing novel.

I really enjoyed the story. Jack was the perfect friend. He was so devoted to Eva and always choosing her and putting her first. Eva and Jack her so cute together so much so that it was cotton candy sweet. My only complaint was that they were to old to be so indecisive and scared to tell each other how they felt more than friendship for each other. This was my first book by this author and now I’m looking for more. Until next time y’all happy reading.

This book was absolutely amazing. Roxy Reid nailed it with this one. Jack McBride and Eva Price were perfect characters. This is a friends to lovers romance. Jack and Eva have been best friends since middle school. Besides being gorgeous, Jack has always been there for Eva whenever she had a life crisis. When Eva’s business goes bankrupt, she calls Jack. Jack talks Eva into coming to work for him for a few months until she decides what she wants to do next with her career. But things get too real when the media takes pictures of them kissing (REALLY kissing) in public. After which time they have sex for the first time all night long. Prepare yourself…this book is addictive and you won’t be able to put it down! I highly recommend.
Beautiful love story.
This is a great story with wonderful characters that I didn’t want to end. Jack & Eva have been best friends since childhood but have also been in love with each other for as long as they can remember but neither would admit it to the other. When Eva goes with Jack to his cousins wedding they end up giving into their feelings which then leads to an unexpected fake proposal. I was desperate for them yo tell each other how they felt & it looked like I was getting my wish of a happy ever after for them until she finds out she is pregnant & his terrible reaction to the news looks like he may have lost Eva forever.

Jack and Eva have been friends since childhood and secretly had feelings for each other but we’re scared of losing the friendship that they had so neither said or acting on it
wasn’t untill they were at a wedding and she was bold to kiss him then media gets involved and they fake a engament and that complicates thing
the book has a whole bunch of twists and turns you are going to have to read it to see what happens
You won’t be disappointed
Wow, got really caught up in this friends to lovers well crafted story…
The blurb & previous reviews have outlined the story itself. The characters were adorably complex, conflicted about their chemistry ruining their friendship of long standing. He was her rock, always there when she needed a friend but when their dynamic shifted they were like bunny rabbits one minute & scared the next. He only needed to utter those magic words…”You complete me” but he kept stumbling. Her anxiety put her into fight & then flight mode, could they find their way back to the only happiness they both wanted & needed? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Roxy Reid has left me with a major book hangover. I absolutely loved this book; this is what a best friend and lover is all about. Jack an Eva have been best friends forever and have been there for each other through it all and their story is one you just don’t need to miss. I won’t go into detail because it will ruin it for you. I just have to say Jack will be you new book boyfriend! I enjoyed every single page of this book and didn’t want it to end. This may just be my favorite Roxy Reid book to date, way worth more than 5 stars. This is a story that you will want to read over and over.

Jack and Eva are too cute as a couple. Starting off as best friends for most of their lives, they are always bailing each other out. Then Jack and Eva agree to pose as a fake couple the lines get very hazy.
This story is fun, fresh and funny with crisp snarky dialogue and a modicum of drama. Jack is endearing, cool and cares for Eva but she falls hard when things get intimate. This was an other really great book by Roxy Reid.

This is my first Roxy Reid book and won’t be my last!
This is a well written friends to lovers story that flows through their journey to and from each other but can they work out whether they can make it work forever and if they should? The story is detailed and full of emotion having me in tears for the last 20% of the book!!
The characters are lovable to the point that you want to bang their heads together to get them to sort themselves out and they have a small cast of supporting characters who provide the bigger picture of their life before the story starts.
I loved this book and totally recommend it, with a side order of tissues, but you should read it to make up your own mind. xx

ONE ENCHANTING ADVENTURE!!!
Happy hugs! Roxy delivers this beautifully composed piece of perfection, laying out one delightful storyline and gripping plot, pushing all the skeletons out to play in this fun-filled, perfectly paired smashed up team, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Crazy mishaps and thrilling happenstance, showcase the taxing trials and challenging tribulations, stumbling through the kooky twists and funky turns, putting our characters through their paces, testing them in ways they never saw coming. Coiled, knotted and tightly woven, exposing the explosive ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it’s simplicity and awe inspiring in it’s depth. The attraction and chemistry sizzles through the ages, from the pages and suck you in so deeply until you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. The characters, banter, dialogue, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits, blend and flow, transforming into genuinely charismatic personalities. The scenes are so graphically descriptive you have no trouble picturing each scenario as they play off one another beautifully. Awesome job Roxy, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
I really enjoyed Jake and Eva. Their banter was perfect for two people who have known each other for so long. They had lots of funny moments and dramatic moments and superromantic moments. I got a little frustrated with some of their choices, but I liked the way that they realized they had made mistakes and tried again. Also, I am stealing Tracy as my best friend because she is awesome.
Changing Their Relationship Status –
Eva and Jack have been best friends since they were very children, but when they started having feelings for each other, fear led them to keep their relationship platonic. It takes them being thrown into complicated situations, for them to finally acknowledge their feelings for each other. Unfortunately, when a bombshell is dropped on them it takes advice from family and friends, as well as a big gesture to aid them in finding their happily ever after. This story is about taking risks, being able to communicate efficiently, life enduring friendships and family support. This book is so good, you will want to read it twice.

This story was a trip I loved from the start. Eva and Jack don’t know that they each have feelings for the other. Finally, when Eva and Jack got on the same page, Jack started to back out. Eva knew she had to do something or else she might not get another chance. What neither of them planned was the one kiss backfiring on them. When they decide to get fake married Eva has no idea Jack is playing for keeps. Jack decides from the start that no one can have Eva but him and he needs to find a way to keep her. I received a free copy from the author and reviewed voluntarily.
