There’s always room for sex and a willing participant nearby.
Until I find myself in the middle of the street with egg yolk dripping off me.
In this moment, everything changes.
All I want is to spend every minute of every day with the woman who came crashing into me.
Olivia-
I’m a romantic at heart.
I read romance novels, and watch the epic movies.
Too bad it’s all make believe.
I know better than to trust in fairytales or believe in happily ever after.
Lucas scares me. He smashes through my defenses and forces his way into my life. Once he’s there, it’s only a matter of time before he takes possession of my heart.
He’s been hurt and betrayed.
He doesn’t trust me and I’m scared to death of him.
When love has so much against it, can it find a way to survive?

I loved reading about this young couple. From how they meet, to how they fight, but especially how they Love. Lily Ryan wrote an incredibly real story. Life has ups and downs. Happiness and sadness. We all hope that through to good and bad we come out on the other side. Relating to this book was easy. It kept me turning the pages wanting to see where these two would end up. Lucas’ work with young autistic kids and how much his passion for helping kids and parents with their struggle touched my heart. You’ll have to read for yourself how Lucas will grab your heart too.
Talk about EMOTIONS, ANGST, the CHASE and TRUST all wrapped into one amazing story.
Lucas was a complex guy that at one point in his life had it all until it all came crashing down, scarring him for life. That is until he crashed into Olivia.
Olivia also was dealt a harsh blow with love, thinking she had the man of her dreams only to find out he was a snake.
When Lucas met Olivia everything changed, he saw “life again” was worth living and he wanted that life with her and had to work damn hard to earn her love.
I loved the way this book had me fully engaged, totally absorbed in their story and never knowing how this was going to play out but hoping they would have a HEA.
They both deserved each other’s love but they were so scared to trust when something gave them reason to doubt each other. This book flowed perfectly, gave me all the FEELS and has just made it to my top reads of 2017! Amazing read 5stars!!
**This story does contain sexual situations and adult language, so I would recommend it for readers 17+.
The story of Olivia and Lucas is told in a dual POV and I always enjoy reading the male characters take on what is happening.
Both have been hurt by love before and both are trying to figure out what they need in life. Trust and family issues seem to be the two biggest hurdles they both need to overcome – but it doesn’t come easy. Time, hard work, and effort are what they both are wanting and needing. Toss in a few “shady” characters and you have the making for a good read!
I wish there was more in the story with closure in regards to Stacy and Nate. This is the one negative that held me back from rating this book higher. I think Lucas and Olivia really needed to have more closure than what they did, but I still really enjoyed this story!!
My favorite line in the book comes from Lucas when he states, “I have to keep my head on the ball in the front of us. Not the two between my legs”. Cracked up laughing at that one!
Oliva meets Lucas after accidently spilling egg on his suit. They have an instant attraction, although Oliva is hesitant after her last relationship.
Lucas feels things with Oliva that he hasn’t felt since his ex, and doesn’t want to open himself up to anyone again.
Lucas takes things slowly with Oliva not wanting to scare her away, as normally he wouldn’t want anymore dates but with her he does, Oliva makes Lucas think that maybe there is a chance at more, while Oliva is thinking it may be time to open her heart again.
Olivia and Lucas have an amazing chemistry but keep letting their pasts and jealously affect them, just when everything seems to go right, after interference from ex’s and family, Lucas again pushes Olivia away. With Olivia deciding to help Lucas so he doesn’t know and let the relationship go, your kept intrigued to see if Lucas will work out what he wants in time and how after the heartbreak he can convince Olivia that he is genuine this time. Can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.
