A bad history. One tropical getaway. Another chance.
Luca Reed.
My best friend’s cousin. Arrogant. Emotionally unavailable, and sexy as sin.
We made the stupid decision to sleep together. Twice. Both times, he ran away from me with some bullshit excuse.
Avoiding him won’t be easy, not with our roles in a week-long wedding getaway to a tropical paradise. Even with the last-minute date I … paradise. Even with the last-minute date I brought with me, I sincerely doubt we will be able to stay away from each other.
I have craved this man in every sense of the word since before I can remember, but our past has warned me not to fall under his spell.
How can I make my heart listen to my brain? Luca is no good, yet I want him anyway.
Loving Luca is a complicated island romance, showing that a second chance at love is possible.

Mags has had feelings for Luca for years but Luca has never given them a chance to have any kind of relationship. They end up having to spend a week together for Luca’s cousin and Mags best friends wedding. The question is will Luca end up opening up to Mags about his insecurities and will they make a go at a real relationship together.
I absolutely loved Luca and Mags and couldn’t wait to read their story. There are a lot of emotions in this story. It’s sad at some points and happy at others and there is plenty of angst thrown in there too. But honestly my favorite part of the book is the end. I wouldn’t have changed the ending for anything. I really really loved this story and can’t wait to read more from this author!
I loved the story of Mags and Luca, I was looking forward to their story after reading Always Asher.
Mags and Luca have hooked up in the past, but Luca has commitment issues. When everyone is at Faith & Asher’s wedding at a remote island, Luca is forced to face his demons. He needs to decide if he can commit to Mags or watch her with someone else.
All the characters are so likeable and Luca will leave you frustrated. Mags is great, she’s a girl who knows what she wants and goes for it.
The writing is excellent and will keep you reading to the end.
It’s a lovely second chance romance.
If you enjoyed Always Asher then you will definitely enjoy Loving Luca.
Magnolia aka Mags has always been inlove with Luca. However, everytime they are together he always leaves her with tears running down her face. Trying to find love can be very hard when the person who love doesnt seem to love you back and keeps running away. Luca is batteling his own demons from the past that cause him to make sure to never settle down but will he finally be ready for Mags? This books is amazing! I do wish it was alittle longer due to situations towards the end but amazing nonetheless. It allows readers into the world of how the past can mess up your future decisions and keep you from the best things in life. Must read!
Mags, also known as Magnolia, has loved Luca for most of her life, and honestly, Luca has probably felt the same, though his fear of commitment makes it hard for him to form any lasting relationship with her. They’ve also hooked up a lot of times, and that just makes everything between the two harder when Mags is also Luca’s cousin’s good friend.
When Mags’ best friend and Luca’s cousin, Faith, decides to get married in a luxurious island wedding, Mags and Luca are stuck together to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. But as the wedding festivities progress and Mags and Luca are constantly through together, they grow closer and their romantic relationship seems to grow more real. But with Luca’s fear and Mags’ potential romance with another man, they have to make a choice once and for all, while also dealing with the consequences that come.
So I loved seeing Asher and Faith back again in this book since I loved their romance from book 1. They were just the cutest. But I felt like the romantic struggle between Mags and Luca was repetitive. They’d sleep together and then Luca would back off because he couldn’t be in a relationship with her (because issues) and Mags’ heart would get broken. Of course, the same thing kinda happens in this book where they start sleeping together again at the wedding resort and Luca has to face his commitment issues. And then there was Eve’s abusive ex who plays a big role in messing things up.
But Mags and Luca end up with a happily ever after (and a little bonus at the end), Eve breaks things off with her abusive boyfriend (though she suffers a lot from it), and Asher and Faith remain happily ever after. And while I didn’t always feel the love between Mags and Luca, they were happy and they eventually resolved all of their issues to create a full and happy life together.
I beta read this book through the author before it was released and am voluntarily leaving a review based on this version.
I enjoyed reading this second chance book. The characters are great and engaging with chemistry you can feel throughout the pages. The storyline is well written and developed.

Loving Luca was emotional poetry in motion, everything Luca did was geared to who he thought he was, Magnolia saw him as the person she had always wanted even when he pushed her away, the other characters in this story bring flavour to the main dish of Magnolia and Luca. Magical for me. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
enjoyed Magnolia and Luca … fun, quick read
3.5 Stars
The story line and character work were good. The book had a fairly smooth flow to it. This was a great addition to the series.
