A friends-to-lovers second-chance romance from USA Today bestseller Siobhan Davis. Standalone with HEA and no cliffhanger. Lana I knew it would end in disaster, but I didn’t listen to reason. I didn’t care. Because I loved him so much. Kalvin Kennedy ruled my heart. Until he destroyed it. Shattered it so completely that I became someone else. Someone I loathed. Someone who repeatedly lied to her … someone else. Someone I loathed. Someone who repeatedly lied to her loved ones.
So, I ran.
From him. From myself. Desperate to hide my new reality.
But I could only run so far.
When he reappears in my life, I’m terrified. Unbelievably scared of facing the consequences of my actions.
Never mind that I still love him and want him so badly—there’s too much at stake now.
How can I trust him with the biggest secret of all when he’s likely to rip my world apart again?
Kalvin
Lana was always far too good for me. Everyone knew it but her.
I tried to stay away, but I was weak.
And I hurt her.
Crushed her until she barely resembled herself. Forced her to follow a path she would never have willingly chosen.
And then she was gone.
And my world has never felt as empty, as lonely.
She begged me to stay away. Not to find her. To forget she ever existed.
But that’s like asking me to slice my heart in two and toss half aside.
I’ve never believed in fate, but when I rock up to the University of Florida, I’m ready to eat my words.
Because she’s here. Like I hoped she would be. And I’m determined to prove I deserve a second chance.
Will I enjoy this book?
If you enjoy emotional, angsty, second-chance romance with hot guys and a dash of drama set within a college backdrop then you should enjoy Loving Kalvin!
While you don’t need to read the first three books in this series to enjoy Loving Kalvin, it is highly recommended. This book is upper young adult/new adult, and it is only suitable for readers aged seventeen and older due to mature content, sexual situations, and language.
This book, like its predecessors, contains a controversial subject which, on this occasion, relates to something Lana did to Kal previously that some readers might find unforgivable. If you don’t like being stretched out of your comfort zone, then I’d recommend you skip this book.

#LANAANDKALVIN4EVER
FIVE TRUE LOVE STARS for Lana and Kalvin !!!
I don’t know where to start.
Because I think I already said everything that I need to say in the first review for the “Kennedy Boys” series.
And my opinion didn’t change a little bit.
Okay, I’m lying now.
Yes, my opinion changed but in a good way.
I always have high expectations of every new Siobhan’s book and she always surprises me with it.
I loved.
I really loved and I’m still loving Faye and Kyler’s story.
But, Lana and Kalvin are…
…my dearest.
My new favorite couple and I’m honestly sad that they got only one book.
“Loving Kalvin” is a romance book with friends to lovers, second chance and new adult tropes.
Lana and Kalvin’s relationship is a slow burn.
They knew each other since they were two years old and they always had an open and trusting friendship.
But, then they have grown up and everything has changed.
They had a lot of ups and downs but after all, they’ve got what they deserved.
Lana is a female character who did some unforgivable things because she was hurt by his best friend in which she fell in love.
She realized that she made a mistake and she tried to do the right thing.
And when she tried made things to be better…
She was hiding one big secret.
Kalvin…
Ah, I think I’m in love again.
He is a male character who I want to be real.
After everything, what Lana has done to him, he forgave her and he also wanted to start again.
He wanted to win her love no matter what the others say.
He completely melted my heart in the part of the book that changed everything.
Yes, there is something so sweet that changed Kalvin’s life and if you want to find out what am I talking about you need to read this book !
If you’re a fan of Siobhan’s books, this is the book you NEED TO READ THE RIGHT NOW!!!
Highly recommended!!!
P.S. I can’t wait to read Rachel and Brad’s book !!!
Such a bittersweet story! The bitter part was how Lana and Kalvin came to be apart in the first place. But then, the story takes on a sweet spin as they find each other again and something totally awesome that neither had expected. Kalvin melted my heart for this one!!
I loved that they had massive obstacle to over come with each other and that thing need to not get carried away when it hurts a lot of people. Loved Kalvin becoming a mature character.
Oh my god!
I love the Kennedy boys, and Kalvin is so sweet and loving!
We got to know both Kalvin and Lana during the first Kennedy boys books. Kalvin is Kylers brother, one of the Kennedy siblings. Lanas parents works at the Kennedy estate and she has known the boys for years. She was Kalvins best friend for years, but they have always been in love. In the books about Kyler and Faye we got to know that Lana, under Addisons influence, accused Kalvin of raping her, he didn’t and Lana told the truth publicly during the trial. She then disapeared.
This story is set some time after that happened and Kalvin has one goal, and that’s to find Lana again and prove to her that he really loves her. Lana is scared, and she can’t belive that Kalvin so easily forgave her. Kalvin is determind to gain her love and that they should be together forever, but things happen and to know more about what you should read this amazing book!
Best book from the Kennedy Boys Series!! Loved reading about Lana and Kalvin story. Love how the story unfolded. In the previous books in the series, I really didn’t like Lana but after reading this book I LOVE her!! This is my favorite book from the series!!
I loved Lana and Kalvin from the very beginning. I knew that there had to be more to their story and I was not disappointed. I love how it was not easy or straightforward for them to get back together. They had to fight for what they wanted in order to overcome their past. Lana is one tough cookie, with everything she has gone through and is still going through one would expect her to be a mess. But instead, she stayed strong for herself and her son. She has her moments, anyone would, but she is an amazing character. I can’t wait to see more of Lana and Kalvin’s little family. I love this story
When I first dove into this book I wasn’t sure I could ever like Lana. With all the pain that she put Kal through she just seemed unredeemable to me. Kal gives up Harvard and goes across the country to find his only true love only to find there is a much bigger secret she’s been hiding. I was so mad at her! But once she finally put Kal first and stopped being so selfish I slowly started to feel more for the hurt teenage girl that made some bad choices. Lana tried time and time again to sacrifice herself to clear Kal’s name, unfortunately sometimes you can’t change public opinion no matter how hard you try. This was a story of repeated wrongdoings and heartbreak, but by the end I was so happy to see them get their happily ever after.
Loving Kalvin is book four in the Kennedy Brothers series and although only one book to Kylers three it doesn’t disappoint as Kyler’s three book trilogy was also about introducing the rest of the family and not just about Kyler and Faye.
I LOVED Kal from the outset, he was the fun, cheeky guy you could always get a laugh out of. You got a touch of his and Lana’s story in Kyler’s books so I was intrigued to see where this book would take us as Kal changed a lot at the end of the last book, understandably so.
This book sees Kal following Lana (unbeknownst to her) to the sunny state for Uni and if you thought this would be a cur and dried ‘win her back’ book, you’d be sadly mistaken.
In typical Siobhan style, there are twists and turns to this book, questioning whether they can ever get past the hurt snd devastation they have caused each other, but there’s more at play here than you realise and once again, a book that kept me glued to the pages, desperately hoping they can come through the other side.
Siobhan, I LOVED this book and can’t wait to get the rest of the families stories
from me.
Was so glad to see Kal get his HEA. Didn’t see that early twist coming though.
Kalvin and Lana are everything and more. I wasn’t sure how or if Lana could redeem herself in my eyes. After what she did to Kalvin in the Kyler Collection, she wasn’t my favorite person. But I did notice how no matter what Lana did Kalvin was not mad at her…he never blamed her. Their connection as children was so much more than either of them were ready for at such a young age but it made one heck of an amazing love story. Can Kalvin win Lana back after all he put her through all those years? Can she forgive him…or better yet…can she forgive herself. Kalvin knows Lana hasn’t been completely honest with him…he knows she has a secret…will it be the end of them when he discovers what it is? if you want to know…read Loving Kalvin. I devoured every word yet took my time basking in the glow of their love. It was more than I expected of this book!!!! You can’t go wrong when you choose any work written by Siobhan. She draws you in and MAKES you love every character, no matter the circumstances. If your meant to love them….you will.
Loving Kalvin is the fourth book book in the Kennedy Boys series. You do not have to read the previous books in the series before you read this one but I do recommend it if you want the full story leading up to it. Plus they kicked ass. So there is that. If you did read the previous books then you know Kalvin and Lana’s relationship is a complicated one.
Kalvin and Lana have known each other since they were two years old. They formed an unbreakable bond since the day they met. They were best friends. They could be themselves around each other. Then high school started and things changed between them. They still cared but it was different. Kalvin hurt her. Lana turned around and hurt him. It hurt them. It hurt what could have been. What should have been. Now, it was time to heal. Hopefully, if Kalvin gets what he wants. What he needs. Her.
Lana doesn’t understand why Kalvin is here. She told him not to look for her. To stay away. It’s not only for her. It’s for him. She loves him but she doesn’t want the reminder of what she did. How much she hurt him. Is he here to ruin her in return? What she doesn’t understand is that he wants her back. To prove that they deserve a second chance. She can’t believe it. Why would he forgive her and will he again after what she has to say to him?
This series seriously hooks me in with every book. The stories are addicting! Kalvin and Lana’s story is much different than Ky and Faye’s. There isn’t as much family drama but there is drama. Just the perfect amount for these two. They might only be 17 and 18 years old but they are mature for their age. They both had to grow up fast for different reasons. I felt for them. I laughed with them. Cried with them. And was rooting for them. To forgive each other and themselves.
Overall…it’s a great addition to the series! The characters are well-developed. The drama sucks you in. The storylines are unique. I liked Kalvin before but I love him now. And Lana is his perfect match.
Quotes:
“You may think you still know me, but you don’t.”
No one does intense like Kalvin Kennedy.
“Dude, did you just growl? Like legit growl?”
***I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Such a bittersweet book ive loved Kalvin throughout the other books and i was dying to read his book to see how it was going to play out. I wont say that Lana (FMC) was my favourite character after all the heartache she caused so i wasnt convinced that my mind was going to change about her. How wrong can you be? By about half way through this book i genuinely felt bad for her and wanted them both to get their HEA. The love and respect between the two of them even after all the lies in the past made it hard not to want them to be happy together in the end. It changed my mind thats for sure. Loved It
Lana accused the love of her life of a heinous crime. She is determined to start her life over, and has enrolled in college. Some might think he’s crazy, but Kalvin is determined to find his one and only love, the young woman who accused him of a crime he didn’t commit. He has enrolled in the same college, but it is a huge campus, and it will take him weeks to find Lana, even with the help of his computer savvy brother. Once he finds her, Kalvin will have to convince Lana that he has forgiven her, and that he stills loves her, but will Lana ever be able to forgive herself.
These characters are fascinating, and complex. They are trying to rekindle the relationship, but Lana is keeping a secret, one that Kalvin might not find it easy to forgive, and that may be the one that will destroy their chance for happiness. Beautifully written romance with plenty of heat, a surprising twists in the plot, and a happily ever after. Fantastic book, I loved it!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
This friends-to-lovers second chance romance between Kalvin and Lana Taylor was filled with so many feels. Two people from two different worlds where they had to keep their relationship on the down low. However, once things are out in the open the life they shared goes down hill. Secrets, accusations and courtroom drama and all. Is there hope after that?
I fell hard for Kalvin Kennedy when reading snippets of him in the prior books in the series. He has a certain aura to him that intrigued me and had hope for him after what he had gone through thus far. He wants to go to a different college then originally plan and to start off fresh after all the crazy madness. He is determine to prove himself worthy and to make the one who has his heart see that she is more regardless of their past.
The author does not take things lightly and takes readers on a roller coaster journey of a ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat afraid for more and itching for more at the same time. There are new reveals between this couple that had me breaking and wishing for possibilities. Kalvin is my favorite Kennedy so far.
I have been waiting for Lana & Kalvin’s story since book 1. Absolutely loved Kalvin from the start, he’s one of my favorite Kennedy boys!
After getting little bits and pieces of these two for the first 4 Kennedy boys books; I was really anxious to finally get their story. They loved each other for so long yet encountered so many different problems that keep them apart. After horrible situations that escalated out of control; these two are finally back in the same place again just with a whole new set of issues. Lana & Kalvin are trying to navigate through it all and see if they can hang in together for the long haul. Facing the consequences of their own actions and seeing how those affect people around them in so many different ways is humbling and emotional.
Love Kalvin & Lana; I can’t wait to get glimpses of them as I continue on with the Kennedy Boys series.
Love Kalvin and Lana. They grew up really good friends until something happens that threatens to tear them apart. Told in dual pov. This is an amazing series if you haven’t read it. A beautifully written love story.
Dang you Siobhan Davis for making me love these Kennedy boys. Although these are definitely not boys but all men learning how far they can love with the right woman we see more of their lives being told. I loved see Kalvin and Lana together for their story was just starting in being told in Kylers book. We see two young people learning to love and two adults seeing what they thought was real love doesn’t measure what they are about to face right now in college. Not only we see Lana coming to terms that Kalvin might hate her after all the secrest are told she still has hope for something more. Siobhan Davis shows us that no matter how hurt and angry you are real love doesn’t faze out after one hugh curveball is thrown. This is book four and the 2nd Kennedy brothe we still have 4 more brothers cannot wait.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Loving Kalvin was everything I could have hoped for and more. I knew this story was going to be intense based on what was mentioned of Kalvin and Lana’s relationship in the previous Kennedy Boys books, but it far exceeded any expectations I may have had.
Without giving too much away, I will say that I really enjoyed both Kalvin and Lana as characters in this book and enjoyed that they seemed to mature and grow and learn from their past mistakes and work to right their wrongs, and I absolutely loved that they were able to reconnect and come out on the other side of all of their struggles and be able to have their HEA.
I think the author did an amazing job with Kalvin and Lana’s story and it is definitely my favorite in the series so far. I could not put it down and I didn’t want it to end.
I’m totally in love with the Kennedy Boys! I was so excited to read Loving Kalvin! Siobhan didn’t disappoint me! Kalvin and Lana’s boom can be read as a stand-alone, but you will get a lot more of their back history if you read Ky’s books.
I will admit, I wasn’t sure how I felt about Lana. I know that Kalvin hurt her repeatedly, and Addison got to her, but to falsely accuse him of rape? Ugh at least she came clean, and Kal never blamed her. He owned his mistakes, even if there was nothing he could do about it.
Kalvin was a playboy. I say was because that all ended when he was falsely accused. I think he realized that he had pushed Lana to her breaking point. All because he wasn’t sure how to process his feelings for her.
Fast forward a year, now Kalvin has followed Lana to Florida. Now he just needs to find her and make her understand that he is head over heels in love with her.
Lana has been in love with Kalvin for as long as she can remember. Now he’s in Florida, professing his love, and she still has secrets. Secrets that could destroy everything between them.
I’m a sucker for second chance romance. This one is no different. I was already invested in these two from the first 3 books in the series (Kyler’s books). It makes my heart so happy to see that these two can forgive each other and move forward. Happy endings are what dreams are made of.
Just, wow! Siobhan has a true talent of ripping your heart out and then making it burst from joy! You don’t have to have read books 1-3 in this series, however I highly suggest it to truly understand characters relationships, context and backstory. Lana is now at school in Florida hoping for a new start. She’s armed with a new last name and a false sense of feeling incognito. Little does she know that’s all an illusion. Though some time had passed since the trial, but her heart still yearns for Kalvin even though she knows they can’t ever be together again. The LAST thing she expected was to see him at a fraternity party. There’s all kinds of drama heartache, secrets and lies revealed…no shortage of excitement in this series! Siobhan never disappoints in any book of hers that I’ve yet to read!
