Can her love tame her fling?
Everly King’s life might be on a Plan B track, but she’s perfectly content with her job, her nights out at the movies, and putting her past behind her. She certainly doesn’t need to be reminded over and over that her sister is, well, engaged to Everly’s ex.Austin Hayes is the architect hired to redesign Everly’s beloved theater. As a widower with a young daughter, … to redesign Everly’s beloved theater. As a widower with a young daughter, the last thing he wants is to juggle another relationship.
Thankfully, Austin is only in Hidden Hollows for a few weeks. A fake relationship seems exactly what both need. After all, when it’s just a fling, no one gets hurt. Right?
If you love witty heroines and loyal heroes, then you’ll love the third book in the Hidden Hollows multi-author collaboration, Loving her Fling.

I love Heather B. Moore books! This is another sweet, clean, well written book. Great characters, fun town. I really liked it.
This was a very sweet contemporary romance. I loved Everly King. I loved how quirky she was and how much she loved going to the movies. I also loved how the romance developed between Everly and Austin. I loved how they could have been enemies, what with him being in charge of remodeling the movie theater, but instead they became friends and then a couple because he was willing to listen to her concerns and help her see that he wasn’t going to destroy something that she loved. I thought that this was a very sweet story and I would love to read that other books in this series.
I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.
This small town contemporary romance was such a fun read! The main characters were likable, the writing was crisp, and the plot flowed nicely. Lots of sweet, swoon worthy moments. This was the first book I have read from this series but it will not be the last!
Loving Her Fling is such a sweet happily ever after romance. The storyline grabbed me from the beginning and kept me reading. The characters are adorable with realistic troubles. Great read!
I received an ARC of this book and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
I loved this story so much! I read it twice last month. It’s going on my list of faves to re-read when I’m not in the mood to start a new book. Everly is lovingly quirky, and her struggles were realistic. She’s still grieving her father’s death but has a fun weekly tradition of secretly attending the movies at the old theater that her dad used to take her to. Her sister is dating her former best friend/ex-boyfriend who dumped her, and her mother is an overbearing, hovering, worrywart. She loves her family but they don’t seem to understand her and her need for space. Austin is genuine and charming, and it was easy to see how these two had such great chemistry. Don’t let the book synopsis fool you- their relationship is never fake (although Everly did make up a different man to get her mom off her back), and their friendship quickly develops into a sweet romance that has them both enjoying their time together while concerned about what the future would bring. I appreciated that their relationship is so natural and they bring out the best in each other as they deal with each other’s families. Austin has a daughter to consider and his parents who support him in her care. As dynamics become more complex and involved, Everly and Austin’s relationship has some tests to withstand. This story is simply delightful and also has the depth of emotion that makes it easy to connect with the characters. Highly recommend!
(I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)
This story was really fun and easy to read!
I liked the main characters Everly and Austin and how they got to know each other during the story and how quickly and easily they formed a friendship. I especially loved how they first met in the theater.
Both of them had past traumatic relationships they needed to work thru to move forward, but the author did a great job of expressing their feelings and emotions and how they helped each other heal.
Clean romance with great characters and story line! I loved it!
I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
Loving Her Fling is a wonderful book. I loved it! I love the characters. They are fantastic and perfect together. I like the small town setting. This is a wonderful sweet romance. This book is fun and interesting to read. I did not want to put the book down.
Loving Her Fling is the third installment and Heather B Moore’s contribution to the Hidden Hollows series. I liked this sweet romance with Evelyn and Austin. The story is somewhat predictable but still so very enjoyable. It was delightful to read this quick read.
I am giving Loving Her Fling four stars. I would love to read the first two books from the Hidden Hollows series.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
It is 6:00 a.m. and I read through the night to finish this book! Rarely do I get so caught up in a story that I just can’t put it down but this one had me hooked. It is the story of Austin, a widower who comes to Hidden Hollows to renovate the town movie theater, and Everly whom he meets at the theater on a Wednesday night. While Austin is there to scope out the needed renovations, Everly is sentimentality attached to this structure. Although the first few days of interaction between them are rocky, they soon find themselves attracted to each other.
All good romances have some drama and Loving Her Fling has it in spades, this one involving 2 sisters, an ex-boyfriend, an upcoming wedding and a little girl. While Everly and Austin walk through these minefields, their attraction proves to be more than a diversion. Have no fear, because their is definitely an HEA ending in this awesome romance novel. 5 stars!
A clean romance and series.
This is a well written small town romance with strong characters in Everly and Austin. The author does a great job building a fake romance, filling it with a fun and humorous dialogue along with the serious issues. The supporting characters help to bring the story around along with the descriptive scenes helping to move the story fluidly. I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Loving Her Fling by Heather B. Moore (5 stars)
Ms. Moore’s approach was so unique and heartfelt. It also had a glaring touch of family dynamics that made this love story feel authentic and helped connect the reader to the characters.
I loved this story! Hardly any internal battles: we got to experience the courtship of two people (and one little girl) who were made for one another. All the angst was because of family members, on both sides. Luckily, their families’ issues only helped bring these two closer together and solidify the rightness of their love.
This is one I’ll be reading again!
*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special
I loved my middle row, middle seat spot for this delightful small-town romance. Everly has a religious routine that helps her find peace with her life, in spite of some family challenges. Her character struck a chord with me, as I don’t like to feel out-of-control and thrive on order, but her world is tilted on its very axis when Austin comes to town.
Austin is just what the doctor ordered to force Everly out of her comfort zone and thrust her into a world of change, learning to stand up for herself, and discovering the beautiful world of compromises.
This fake relationship had tendrils of truth, which really caused it to seize my heart in its clutches. Watching Everly blossom, as these two characters found passion and healing, was worth every single page.
What is this new series??! I’m completely addicted.
Content: mild language; mild+ romance (kissing, talk of affairs)

I never turn down an opportunity to read a book by Heather B. Moore, and this fake-to-real relationship story was no exception. Everly’s sister is engaged to her former boyfriend (can we say awkward?) and even though Everly’s trying to move on it’s hard. Because she’s family, Everly has to attend showers, dinners, etc and socialize with the happy couple, plus her family keeps asking how she’s doing with the wedding come up so soon. Austin doesn’t make the best first impression on Everly, or the second for that matter, when she finds out he’s there to renovate the old theater that she loves so much.
Poor Everly, her family hounded her so much about not having a boyfriend (like that’s a necessity for happiness) she felt she had to invent one, then get someone she hardly knows to pretend to be her boyfriend. I found it sad that Everly didn’t “really believe them” when people paid her a compliment. Because she didn’t see her own beauty or talent so she thought others weren’t being truthful when they complimented her.
I really liked Austin. He’s a great dad and he didn’t want to destroy the old theater, just update it and make it better. I liked that he listened to Everly when she talked about how she felt regarding the theater and her sister’s engagement. I think he’s the reason Everly was finally able to stand up to her family. I wanted to cheer for her after her mother had a talk with her at work. It was about dang time. Who goes to their daughter’s place of employment and has a conversation like that?!! No wonder everyone in town knows her business. I thought Austin’s relationship with Everly felt genuine and not rushed. There were no hidden agendas or games–they were honest with each other.
This is a clean romance that can be read in a couple of hours, and is part of new series–Hidden Hollows–written by different authors, but each book is a standalone.
Cute read. Not super heavy. Nice to read about summer weather on a cold day.
Everly meets the man who will renovate her beloved movie theater. At first upset, she realizes Austin will preserve the best parts, while updating and making better those things that need to change. And that is just like their relationship. While it starts off with the potential to be a fling, since he’s only in Hidden Hollows temporarily, Austin and Everly connect and the fling relationship becomes real. They embrace the best parts of each other, while helping the other be better and overcome insecurities. A fast paced sweet romance!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this story. The characters were well developed and very interesting to follow. Both Everly and Austin had been not only unlucky in love but betrayed by those they loved. It was great to see them each find themselves along with each other.
The supporting characters are very different as well. Meddling mom’s who mean well. Ex-boyfriend who is difficult to like for the wreckage he leaves behind.
I recommend this book!
This is such a sweet and entertaining book with flawed and fragile characters who were both kind-hearted and deserving of true love. I was pulled in from the beginning.
Austin Hayes is in Hidden Hollows temporarily to do a renovation on the towns old theater. After suffering one devistating loss he isn’t looking for a relationship. So how has the towns crafty artist managed to burrow in and thaw his heart?
Everly King loves Hidden Hollows, especially the towns old theater that holds so many memories with her father. With her ex now engaged to her sister and never truly feeling the support of her family, she gave up her dream of becoming an artist. But when an architect shows up to renovate the old theater she is determined to stop him from taking away one more precious and important thing in her life.
Loving Her Fling by Heather B. Moore
A widower with a little girl, and a woman who has been scarred by her ex — made worse by being in a small town and him getting together with her sister. Embarrassment aside, that really does a job on one’s self-esteem. Despite the title, neither of them really do flings, and this is a sweet story of a couple helping each other to overcome their disappointing pasts.
Clean, well-written and well-paced, I recommend this book.
I received a free copy, and this is an honest review.
The storyline was great and the characters were so well developed that as I turned each and every page Everly and Austin pulled me right into their journey as it unfolded!
I love Heather B. Moore and I loved this book! I am always drawn to fake to real scenarios. I really loved the overall feel to this book. It wasn’t over the top or extreme but had a real, down to earth vibe that made me comfortable and happy. The first meet in the movie theater was cute and really set the stage for the rest of the book. It was great.
Everly is a fun character, a little quirky, and very sweet. She seemed to know how to soothe people and help them feel better. Everly tends to put other people before herself which is a great quality but I also loved when she took a stand and let her voice be heard. Austin is patient with Everly, especially in the beginning when her emotions come to the front with the injustice she felt over the movie theater. I love how he listened to her and tried to please her.
This is the third book in this Hidden Hollows series and I haven’t read the others. Each book in this series is written by a different author and each book can stand alone. This book is on KU if you have that.
